Романь 13
1 Орьчине сэ фие супус стэпынирилор челор май ыналте, кэч ну есте стэпынире каре сэ ну винэ де ла Думнезеу. Ши стэпынириле каре сунт ау фост рындуите де Думнезеу.
Let everyone obey the supreme authorities. For no authority exists except by the will of God, and the existing authorities have been appointed by God.
2 Де ачея, чине се ымпотривеште стэпынирий, се ымпотривеште рындуелий пусе де Думнезеу, ши чей че се ымпотривеск ышь вор луа осында.
Therefore the one who sets themself against the authorities is resisting God’s appointment, and those who resist will bring a judgment on themselves.
3 Дрегэторий ну сунт де темут пентру о фаптэ бунэ, чи пентру уна ря. Врей дар сэ ну-ць фие фрикэ де стэпынире? Фэ бинеле ши вей авя лаудэ де ла еа.
A good action has nothing to fear from rulers; a bad action has. Do you want to have no reason to fear the authorities? Then do what is good, and you will win their praise.
4 Ел есте служиторул луй Думнезеу пентру бинеле тэу. Дар, дакэ фачь рэул, теме-те, кэч ну деӂяба поартэ сабия. Ел есте ын служба луй Думнезеу, ка сэ-Л рэзбуне ши сэ педепсяскэ пе чел че фаче рэу.
For they are God’s servants appointed for your good. But, if you do what is wrong, you may well be afraid; for the sword they carry is not without meaning! They are God’s servants to inflict his punishments on those who do wrong.
5 Де ачея требуе сэ фиць супушь ну нумай де фрика педепсей, чи ши дин ындемнул куӂетулуй.
You are bound, therefore, to obey, not only through fear of God’s punishments, but also as a matter of conscience.
6 Тот пентру ачаста сэ плэтиць ши бируриле. Кэч дрегэторий сунт ниште служиторь ай луй Думнезеу, фэкынд некурмат токмай служба ачаста.
This, too, is the reason for your paying taxes; for the officials are God’s officers, devoting themselves to this special work.
7 Даць тутурор че сунтець даторь сэ даць: куй датораць бирул, даци-й бирул; куй датораць вама, даци-й вама; куй датораць фрика, даци-й фрика; куй датораць чинстя, даци-й чинстя.
In all cases pay what is due from you – tribute where tribute is due, taxes where taxes are due, respect where respect is due, and honor where honor is due.
8 Сэ ну датораць нимэнуй нимик, декыт сэ вэ юбиць уний пе алций, кэч чине юбеште пе алций а ымплинит Леӂя.
Owe nothing to anyone except love; for they who love their neighbor have satisfied the Law.
9 Де фапт: „Сэ ну прякурвешть, сэ ну учизь, сэ ну фурь, сэ ну фачь ничо мэртурисире минчиноасэ, сэ ну пофтешть” ши орьче алтэ порункэ май поате фи, се купринд ын порунка ачаста: „Сэ юбешть пе апроапеле тэу ка пе тине ынсуць.”
The commandments, ‘You must not commit adultery, you must not kill, you must not steal, you must not covet,’ and whatever other commandment there is, are all summed up in the words – ‘You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.’
10 Драгостя ну фаче рэу апроапелуй: драгостя деч есте ымплиниря Леӂий.
Love never wrongs a neighbor. Therefore love fully satisfies the Law.
11 Ши ачаста ку атыт май мулт, ку кыт штиць ын че ымпрежурэрь не афлэм: есте часул сэ вэ трезиць ын сфыршит дин сомн, кэч акум мынтуиря есте май апроапе де ной декыт атунч кынд ам крезут.
This I say, because you know the crisis that we have reached, for the time has already come for you to rouse yourselves from sleep; our salvation is nearer now than when we accepted the faith.
12 Ноаптя апроапе а трекут, се апропие зиуа. Сэ не дезбрэкэм дар де фаптеле ынтунерикулуй ши сэ не ымбрэкэм ку армеле луминий.
The night is almost gone; the day is near. Therefore let us be done with the deeds of darkness, and arm ourselves with the weapons of light.
13 Сэ трэим фрумос, ка ын тимпул зилей, ну ын кефурь ши ын беций; ну ын курвий ши ын фапте де рушине; ну ын чертурь ши ын пизмэ,
Being in the light of day, let us live becomingly, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lust and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy.
14 чи ымбрэкаци-вэ ын Домнул Исус Христос ши ну пуртаць грижэ де фиря пэмынтяскэ, пентру ка сэ-й трезиць пофтеле.
No! Arm yourselves with the spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, and spend no thought on your earthly nature, to satisfy its cravings.
