Провербеле 4
1 Аскултаць, фиилор, ынвэцэтура унуй татэ ши луаць аминте ка сэ причепець,
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, And attend, that ye may learn understanding!
2 кэч еу вэ дау сфатурь буне: ну лепэдаць ынвэцэтура мя!
For I give you good instruction; Forsake ye not my commandments.
3 Кэч, кынд ерам ынкэ фиу ла татэл меу ши фиу ӂингаш ши сингур ла мама мя,
For I was my father's son, A tender and only child in the sight of my mother.
4 ел мэ ынвэца атунч ши-мь зичя: „Пэстрязэ бине ын инима та кувинтеле меле, пэзеште ынвэцэтуриле меле ши вей трэи!
He taught me, and said to me, Let thy heart hold fast my words; Keep my commandments, and live.
5 Добындеште ынцелепчуне, добындеште причепере; ну уйта кувинтеле гурий меле ши ну те абате де ла еле!
Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget not, and depart not from, the words of my mouth.
6 Н-о пэрэси, ши еа те ва пэзи; юбеште-о, ши те ва окроти!
Forsake her not, and she will guard thee: Love her, and she will preserve thee.
7 Ятэ ынчепутул ынцелепчуний: добындеште ынцелепчуня ши, ку тот че ай, добындеште причеперя.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore gain wisdom, And with all thy gain, gain understanding.
8 Ыналц-о ши еа те ва ынэлца; еа ва фи слава та дакэ о вей ымбрэциша.
Exalt her, and she will promote thee; She will bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her;
9 Еа ыць ва пуне пе кап о кунунэ плэкутэ, те ва ымподоби ку о стрэлучитэ кунунэ ымпэрэтяскэ.”
She will give to thy head a graceful wreath, A beautiful crown will she bestow upon thee.
10 Аскултэ, фиуле, примеште кувинтеле меле ши аний веций тале се вор ынмулци!
Hear, O my son! and receive my sayings! So shall the years of thy life be many.
11 Еу ыць арэт каля ынцелепчуний, те повэцуеск пе кэрэриле неприхэнирий.
I have taught thee the way of wisdom, I have guided thee in the right path.
12 Кынд вей умбла, пасул ну-ць ва фи стынженит ши, кынд вей алерга, ну те вей потикни.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be confined; And, when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Цине ынвэцэтура, н-о лэса дин мынэ; пэстряз-о, кэч еа есте вяца та!
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go; Keep her, for she is thy life.
14 Ну интра пе кэраря челор рэй ши ну умбла пе каля челор нелеӂюиць!
Enter not into the path of the wicked, And go not in the way of evil men;
15 Фереште-те де еа, ну трече пе еа; околеште-о ши тречь ынаинте!
Avoid it, pass not upon it, Turn from it, and go away.
16 Кэч ей ну дорм дакэ н-ау фэкут рэул, ле пере сомнул дакэ ну фак пе чинева сэ кадэ;
For they sleep not, unless they have done mischief; Yea, their sleep is taken away, unless they have caused some to fall.
17 кэч ей мэнынкэ пыне нелеӂюитэ ши бяу вин сторс ку сила.
For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.
18 Дар кэраря челор неприхэниць есте ка лумина стрэлучитоаре, а кэрей стрэлучире мерӂе мереу крескынд пынэ ла мезул зилей.
But the path of the righteous is as the light of dawn, Which groweth brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.
19 Каля челор рэй есте ка ынтунерикул грос: ей ну вэд де че се вор потикни.
The way of the wicked is as thick darkness; They know not at what they stumble.
20 Фиуле, я аминте ла кувинтеле меле, плякэ-ць урекя ла ворбеле меле!
My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear to my sayings;
21 Сэ ну се депэртезе кувинтеле ачестя де окий тэй, пэстрязэ-ле ын фундул инимий тале!
Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thy heart!
22 Кэч еле сунт вяцэ пентру чей че ле гэсеск ши сэнэтате пентру тот трупул лор.
For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Пэзеште-ць инима май мулт декыт орьче, кэч дин еа ес извоареле веций!
More than any thing which thou watchest, watch thy heart; For from it goeth forth life.
24 Изгонеште неадевэрул дин гура та ши депэртязэ викления де пе бузеле тале!
Put away from thee a deceitful mouth, And remove far from thee perverse lips.
25 Окий тэй сэ привяскэ дрепт ши плеоапеле тале сэ кауте дрепт ынаинтя та!
Let thine eyes look straight forward, And thine eyelids be directed before thee.
26 Кэраря пе каре мерӂь сэ фие нетедэ ши тоате кэиле тале сэ фие хотэрыте:
Give heed to the path of thy foot, And let all thy ways be steadfast.
27 ну те абате нич ла дряпта, нич ла стынга ши фереште-те де рэу!
Turn not to the right hand or to the left; Remove thy foot from evil.
