1 Пилделе луй Соломон, фиул луй Давид, ымпэратул луй Исраел,
The parables of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel,
2 пентру куноаштеря ынцелепчуний ши ынвэцэтурий, пентру ынцелеӂеря кувинтелор минций;
in order to know wisdom and discipline,
3 пентру кэпэтаря ынвэцэтурилор де бун-симц, де дрептате, де жудекатэ ши де непэртинире;
to understand words of prudence, and to accept the instruction of doctrine, justice and judgment, and equity,
4 ка сэ дя челор неынчеркаць аӂериме де минте, тынэрулуй куноштинцэ ши кибзуинцэ,
so as to give discernment to little ones, knowledge and understanding to adolescents.
5 сэ аскулте ынсэ ши ынцелептул, ши ышь ва мэри штиинца, ши чел причепут, ши ва кэпэта искусинцэ
By listening, the wise shall become wiser and the intelligent shall possess governments.
6 пентру приндеря ынцелесулуй уней пилде сау ал унуй кувынт адынк, ынцелесул кувинтелор ынцелепцилор ши ал кувинтелор лор ку тылк.
He shall turn his soul to a parable and to its interpretation, to the words of the wise and their enigmas.
7 Фрика де Домнул есте ынчепутул штиинцей, дар небуний несокотеск ынцелепчуня ши ынвэцэтура.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The foolish despise wisdom as well as doctrine.
8 Аскултэ, фиуле, ынвэцэтура татэлуй тэу ши ну лепэда ындрумэриле мамей тале!
Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother,
9 Кэч еле сунт о кунунэ плэкутэ пе капул тэу ши ун ланц де аур ла гытул тэу.
so that grace may be added to your head and a collar to your neck.
10 Фиуле, дакэ ниште пэкэтошь вор сэ те амэӂяскэ, ну те лэса кыштигат де ей!
My son, if sinners should entice you, do not consent to them.
11 Дакэ-ць вор зиче: „Вино ку ной! Хайдем сэ ынтиндем курсе, ка сэ вэрсэм сынӂе, сэ ынтиндем фэрэ темей лацурь челуй невиноват;
If they should say: “Come with us. We will lie in wait for blood. We will lay traps against the innocent, without cause.
12 хайдем сэ-й ынгицим де вий, ка Локуинца морцилор, ши ынтреӂь, ка пе чей че се кобоарэ ын гроапэ; (Sheol h7585)
Let us swallow him alive, like Hell, and whole, like one descending into the pit. (Sheol h7585)
13 вом гэси тот фелул де лукрурь скумпе ши не вом умпле каселе ку прадэ;
We will discover every precious substance. We will fill our houses with spoils.
14 вей авя ши ту партя та ла фел ку ной, о пунгэ вом авя ку тоций”,
Cast your lot with us. One purse will be for us all.”
15 фиуле, сэ ну порнешть ла друм ку ей, абате-ць пичорул де пе кэраря лор!
My son, do not walk with them. Preclude your feet from their paths.
16 Кэч пичоареле лор аляргэ ла рэу ши се грэбеск сэ версе сынӂе.
For their feet rush to evil, and they hurry to shed blood.
17 Дар деӂяба се арункэ лацул ынаинтя окилор тутурор пэсэрилор,
But a net is thrown in vain before the eyes of those who have wings.
18 кэч ей ынтинд курсе токмай ымпотрива сынӂелуй лор ши суфлетулуй лор ый ынтинд ей лацурь.
Likewise, they lie in ambush against their own blood, and they undertake deceits against their own souls.
19 Ачаста есте соарта тутурор челор лакомь де кыштиг: лэкомия адуче пердеря челор че се дедау ла еа.
Thus, the ways of all those who are greedy seize the souls of those who possess.
20 Ынцелепчуня стригэ пе улице, ышь ыналцэ гласул ын пеце:
Wisdom forewarns far and wide; she bestows her voice in the streets.
21 стригэ унде е зарва май маре, ла порць, ын четате, ышь спуне кувинтеле ей:
She cries out at the head of crowds; at the entrance of the gates of the city, she offers her words, saying:
22 „Пынэ кынд вець юби простия, проштилор? Пынэ кынд ле ва плэчя батжокориторилор батжокура ши вор уры небуний штиинца?
“Little ones, how long will you choose to be childish, and how long will the foolish desire what is harmful to themselves, and how long will the imprudent hate knowledge?
23 Ынтоарчеци-вэ сэ аскултаць мустрэриле меле! Ятэ, вой турна духул меу песте вой, вэ вой фаче куноскуте кувинтеле меле…
Be converted by my correction. Lo, I will offer my spirit to you, and I will reveal my words to you.
24 Фииндкэ еу кем, ши вой вэ ымпотривиць, фииндкэ ымь ынтинд мына, ши нимень ну я сяма,
For I called, and you refused. I extended my hand, and there was no one who watched.
25 фииндкэ лепэдаць тоате сфатуриле меле ши ну вэ плак мустрэриле меле,
You have despised all my counsels, and you have neglected my rebukes.
26 де ачея ши еу вой рыде кынд вець фи ын врео ненорочире, ымь вой бате жок де вой кынд вэ ва апука гроаза,
Similarly, I will ridicule you at your demise, and I will mock you, when that which you feared shall overcome you.
27 кынд вэ ва апука гроаза ка о фуртунэ ши кынд вэ ва ынвэлуи ненорочиря ка ун выртеж, кынд вор да песте вой неказул ши стрымтораря.
When sudden calamity rushes upon you, and your demise advances like a tempest, when tribulation and anguish overcome you,
28 Атунч мэ вор кема, ши ну вой рэспунде; мэ вор кэута, ши ну мэ вор гэси.
then they will call to me, and I will not heed, they will arise in the morning, and not find me.
29 Пентру кэ ау урыт штиинца ши н-ау алес фрика де Домнул,
For they held hatred for discipline, and they would not accept the fear of the Lord;
30 пентру кэ н-ау юбит сфатуриле меле ши ау несокотит тоате мустрэриле меле,
they would not consent to my counsel, but they detracted from all of my corrections.
31 де ачея се вор хрэни ку родул умблетелор лор ши се вор сэтура ку сфатуриле лор.
Therefore, they shall eat the fruit of their way, and they shall have their fill of their own counsels.
32 Кэч ымпотривиря проштилор ый учиде ши лиништя небунилор ый перде,
The loathing of the little ones shall destroy them, and the prosperity of the foolish shall perish them.
33 дар чел че м-аскултэ ва локуи фэрэ грижэ, ва трэи лиништит ши фэрэ сэ се тямэ де вреун рэу.”
But whoever will listen to me shall rest without terror, and shall have full enjoyment of abundance, without fear of evils.”
