1 Ын анул ал чинчспрезечеля ал домнией луй Тибериу Чезар – пе кынд Пилат дин Понт ера дрегэтор ын Иудея; Ирод, кырмуитор ал Галилеий; Филип, фрателе луй, кырмуитор ал Итурией ши ал Трахонитей; Лисания, кырмуитор ал Абиленей;
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
2 ши ын зилеле марилор преоць Ана ши Каяфа –, Кувынтул луй Думнезеу а ворбит луй Иоан, фиул луй Захария, ын пустиу.
when Annas and Caiaphas were high-priests, the word of God came to John, the son of Zachariah, in the wilderness.
3 Ши Иоан а венит прин тот цинутул дин ымпрежуримиле Йорданулуй ши проповэдуя ботезул покэинцей, пентру ертаря пэкателор,
And he came into all the country about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 дупэ кум есте скрис ын картя кувинтелор пророкулуй Исая: „Ятэ гласул челуй че стригэ ын пустиу: ‘Прегэтиць каля Домнулуй, нетезици-Й кэрэриле.
as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths!
5 Орьче вале ва фи аступатэ, орьче мунте ши орьче дял вор фи префэкуте ын лок нетед; кэиле стрымбе вор фи ындрептате ши друмуриле згрунцуроасе вор фи нетезите.
Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth;
6 Ши орьче фэптурэ ва ведя мынтуиря луй Думнезеу.’”
and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”
7 Иоан зичя дар нороаделор, каре веняу сэ фие ботезате де ел: „Пуй де нэпырчь, чине в-а ынвэцат сэ фуӂиць де мыния виитоаре?
He said therefore to the multitudes that came forth to be baptized by him, Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
8 Фачець дар роаде вредниче де покэинца воастрэ ши ну вэ апукаць сэ зичець ын вой ыншивэ: ‘Авем пе Авраам ка татэ!’ Кэч вэ спун кэ Думнезеу дин петреле ачестя поате сэ ридиче фий луй Авраам.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God is able out of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
9 Секуря а ши фост ынфиптэ ла рэдэчина помилор: деч орьче пом каре ну фаче род бун есте тэят ши арункат ын фок.”
And already also is the axe lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that beareth not good fruit is to be cut down, and cast into the fire.
10 Нороаделе ыл ынтребау ши зичяу: „Атунч че требуе сэ фачем?”
And the multitudes asked him, saying, What then must we do?
11 Дрепт рэспунс, ел ле зичя: „Чине аре доуэ хайне сэ ымпартэ ку чине н-аре ничуна; ши чине аре де мынкаре сэ факэ ла фел.”
He answered and said to them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise.
12 Ау венит ши ниште вамешь сэ фие ботезаць ши й-ау зис: „Ынвэцэторуле, ной че требуе сэ фачем?”
And there came also publicans to be baptized, and said to him, Teacher, what must we do?
13 Ел ле-а рэспунс: „Сэ ну черець нимик май мулт песте че в-а фост порунчит сэ луаць.”
And he said to them, Exact no more than hath been ordered you.
14 Ниште осташь ыл ынтребау ши ей ши зичяу: „Дар ной че требуе сэ фачем?” Ел ле-а рэспунс: „Сэ ну стоарчець нимик де ла нимень прин аменинцэрь, нич сэ ну ынвинуиць пе нимень пе недрепт, чи сэ вэ мулцумиць ку лефуриле воастре.”
And soldiers also asked him, saying, And what must we do? And he said to them, Do violence to no one, accuse no one falsely, and be content with your wages.
15 Фииндкэ нородул ера ын аштептаре ши тоць се гындяу ын инимиле лор ку привире ла Иоан, дакэ ну кумва есте ел Христосул,
And while the people were in expectation, and all were considering in their hearts concerning John, whether he were the Christ,
16 Иоан, дрепт рэспунс, а зис тутурор: „Кыт деспре мине, еу вэ ботез ку апэ; дар вине Ачела каре есте май путерник декыт мине ши Кэруя еу ну сунт вредник сэ-Й дезлег куряуа ынкэлцэминтей. Ел вэ ва ботеза ку Духул Сфынт ши ку фок.
John answered and said to them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to loose; he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.
17 Ачела аре лопата ын мынэ; Ышь ва курэци ария ку десэвыршире ши Ышь ва стрынӂе грыул ын грынар, яр плява о ва арде ынтр-ун фок каре ну се стинӂе.”
His winnowing-shovel is in his hand to thoroughly cleanse his threshing-floor, and gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.
18 Астфел проповэдуя Иоан нородулуй Евангелия ши-й дэдя ынкэ мулте алте ындемнурь.
And giving many other exhortations he published the glad tidings to the people.
19 Дар кырмуиторул Ирод, каре ера мустрат де Иоан пентру Иродиада, неваста фрателуй сэу Филип, ши пентру тоате релеле пе каре ле фэкусе,
But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him on account of Herodias the wife of his brother, and on account of all the evil deeds which Herod had done,
20 а май адэугат ла тоате челелалте реле ши пе ачела кэ а ынкис пе Иоан ын темницэ.
added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Дупэ че а фост ботезат тот нородул, а фост ботезат ши Исус; ши пе кынд Се руга, с-а дескис черул,
And it came to pass, when all the people had been baptized, and Jesus also had been baptized, and was praying, that the heaven was opened,
22 ши Духул Сфынт С-а коборыт песте Ел ын кип трупеск, ка ун порумбел. Ши дин чер с-а аузит ун глас, каре зичя: „Ту ешть Фиул Меу пряюбит, ын Тине Ымь гэсеск тоатэ плэчеря Мя!”
and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in a bodily shape as a dove; and a voice came from heaven: “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”
23 Исус авя апроапе трейзечь де ань кынд а ынчепут сэ ынвеце пе нород; ши ера, кум се кредя, фиул луй Иосиф, фиул луй Ели,
And Jesus himself was, when he began, about thirty years of age, being, as was supposed, the son of Joseph, who was the son of Heli,
24 фиул луй Матат, фиул луй Леви, фиул луй Мелхи, фиул луй Ианай, фиул луй Иосиф,
who was the son of Matthath, who was the son of Levi, who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Jannai, who was the son of Joseph,
25 фиул луй Мататия, фиул луй Амос, фиул луй Наум, фиул луй Если, фиул луй Нагай,
who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Amos, who was the son of Nahum, who was the son of Esli, who was the son of Naggai,
26 фиул луй Маат, фиул луй Мататия, фиул луй Семей, фиул луй Иосех, фиул луй Иода,
who was the son of Maath, who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Shimei, who was the son of Josech, who was the son of Joda,
27 фиул луй Иоанан, фиул луй Реса, фиул луй Зоробабел, фиул луй Салатиел, фиул луй Нери,
who was the son of Joanan, who was the son of Rhesa, who was the son of Zerubbabel, who was the son of Shealtiel, who was the son of Neri,
28 фиул луй Мелхи, фиул луй Ади, фиул луй Косам, фиул луй Елмадам, фиул луй Ер,
who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Addi, who was the son of Kosam, who was the son of Elmadam, who was the son of Er,
29 фиул луй Исус, фиул луй Елиезер, фиул луй Иорим, фиул луй Матат, фиул луй Леви,
who was the son of Jesus, who was the son of Eliezer, who was the son of Jorim, who was the son of Matthath, who was the son of Levi,
30 фиул луй Симеон, фиул луй Иуда, фиул луй Иосиф, фиул луй Ионам, фиул луй Елиаким,
who was the son of Simeon, who was the son of Judah, who was the son of Joseph, who was the son of Jonam, who was the son of Eliakim,
31 фиул луй Мелея, фиул луй Мена, фиул луй Матата, фиул луй Натан, фиул луй Давид,
who was the son of Melea, who was the son of Menna, who was the son of Mattatha, who was the son of Nathan, who was the son of David,
32 фиул луй Иесе, фиул луй Иобед, фиул луй Боаз, фиул луй Салмон, фиул луй Наасон,
who was the son of Jesse, who was the son of Obed, who was the son of Boaz, who was the son of Salma, who was the son of Nahshon,
33 фиул луй Аминадаб, фиул луй Админ, фиул луй Арни, фиул луй Есром, фиул луй Фарес, фиул луй Иуда,
who was the son of Amminadab, who was the son of Admin, who was the son of Arni, who was the son of Hezron, who was the son of Pharez, who was the son of Judah,

who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham, who was the son of Terah, who was the son of Nahor,

who was the son of Serug, who was the son of Reu, who was the son of Peleg, who was the son of Eber, who was the son of Shelah,
36 фиул луй Каинам, фиул луй Арфаксад, фиул луй Сем, фиул луй Ное, фиул луй Ламех,
who was the son of Cainan, who was the son of Arphaxad, who was the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah, who was the son of Lamech,
37 фиул луй Матусала, фиул луй Енох, фиул луй Иаред, фиул луй Малелеел, фиул луй Каинан,
who was the son of Methuselah, who was the son of Enoch, who was the son of Jared, who was the son of Mahalaleel, who was the son of Cainan,
38 фиул луй Енос, фиул луй Сет, фиул луй Адам, фиул луй Думнезеу.
who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam, who was the son of God.
