1 Бэрбаций луй Ефраим ау зис луй Гедеон: „Че ынсямнэ фелул ачеста де пуртаре фацэ де ной? Пентру че ну не-ай кемат кынд ай плекат сэ те лупць ымпотрива луй Мадиан?” Ши ау авут о маре чартэ ку ел.
And the men of Ephraim said to him, Why hast thou treated us thus, that thou calledst us not when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? and they chid with him sharply.
2 Гедеон ле-а рэспунс: „Че-ам фэкут еу пе лынгэ вой? Оаре ну фаче май мулт кулесул чоркинелор рэмасе ын вия луй Ефраим декыт кулесул ынтреӂий вий а луй Абиезер?
And he said to them, What have I done now in comparison of you? [Is] not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?
3 Ын мыниле воастре а дат Думнезеу пе кэпетенииле луй Мадиан: Ореб ши Зееб. Че-ам путут фаче еу деч пе лынгэ вой?” Дупэ че ле-а ворбит астфел, ли с-а потолит мыния.
God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then, when he had said that, their anger towards him abated.
4 Гедеон а ажунс ла Йордан ши л-а трекут, ел ши чей трей суте де оамень каре ерау ку ел, обосиць, дар урмэринд мереу пе врэжмаш.
And Gideon came to Jordan, [and] passed over, he, and the three hundred men that [were] with him, faint, yet pursuing [them].
5 Ел а зис челор дин Сукот: „Даць, вэ рог, кытева пынь попорулуй каре мэ ынсоцеште, кэч сунт обосиць ши сунт ын урмэриря луй Зебах ши Цалмуна, ымпэраций Мадианулуй.”
And he said to the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread to the people that follow me: for they [are] faint, and I am pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.
6 Кэпетенииле дин Сукот ау рэспунс: „Есте оаре мына луй Зебах ши Цалмуна ын стэпыниря та, ка сэ дэм пыне оштирий тале?”
And the princes of Succoth said, [Are] the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thy hand, that we should give bread to thy army?
7 Ши Гедеон а зис: „Ей бине, дупэ че Домнул ва да ын мыниле ноастре пе Зебах ши пе Цалмуна, вэ вой скэрпина карня ку спинь дин пустиу ши ку мэрэчинь.”
And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
8 Де аколо с-а суит ла Пенуел ши а фэкут челор дин Пенуел ачеяшь ругэминте. Ей й-ау рэспунс кум ый рэспунсесерэ чей дин Сукот.
And he went up thence to Penuel, and spoke to them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered [him].
9 Ши а зис ши челор дин Пенуел: „Кынд мэ вой ынтоарче ын паче, вой дэрыма турнул ачеста.”
And he spoke also to the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.
10 Зебах ши Цалмуна ерау ла Каркор ымпреунэ ку оштиря лор де апроапе чинчспрезече мий де оамень; тоць чей че май рэмэсесерэ дин тоатэ оштиря фиилор Рэсэритулуй, о сутэ доуэзечь де мий де оамень каре скотяу сабия, фусесерэ учишь.
Now Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand [men], all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell a hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.
11 Гедеон с-а суит пе друмул челор че локуеск ын кортурь ла рэсэрит де Нобах ши де Иогбеха ши а бэтут оштиря каре се кредя ла адэпост.
And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was secure.
12 Зебах ши Цалмуна ау луат фуга; Гедеон й-а урмэрит, а принс пе чей дой ымпэраць ай Мадианулуй, Зебах ши Цалмуна, ши а пус пе фугэ тоатэ оштиря.
And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.
13 Гедеон, фиул луй Иоас, с-а ынторс де ла луптэ прин суишул Херес.
And Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle before the sun [had risen],
14 А принс динтре чей дин Сукот ун тынэр пе каре л-а ынтребат ши каре й-а дат ын скрис нумеле кэпетениилор ши бэтрынилор дин Сукот; ерау шаптезечь ши шапте де бэрбаць.
And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and inquired of him: and he described to him the princes of Succoth, and its elders, [even] seventy seven men.
15 Апой а венит ла чей дин Сукот ши а зис: „Ятэ пе Зебах ши Цалмуна, пентру каре м-аць батжокорит зикынд: ‘Оаре мына луй Зебах ши Цалмуна есте ын стэпыниря та, ка сэ дэм пыне оаменилор тэй обосиць?’”
And he came to the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye upbraided me, saying, [Are] the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thy hand, that we should give bread to thy men [that are] weary?
16 Ши а луат пе бэтрыний четэций ши а педепсит пе оамений дин Сукот ку спинь дин пустиу ши ку мэрэчинь.
And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness, and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
17 А дэрымат ши турнул дин Пенуел ши а учис пе оамений четэций.
And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.
18 Ел а зис луй Зебах ши луй Цалмуна: „Кум ерау оамений пе каре й-аць учис ла Табор?” Ей ау рэспунс: „Ерау ка тине, фиекаре авя ынфэцишаря унуй фиу де ымпэрат.”
Then said he to Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men [were they] whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou [art], so [were] they; each one resembled the children of a king.
19 Ел а зис: „Ерау фраций мей, фиий мамей меле. Виу есте Домнул кэ, дакэ й-аць фи лэсат ку вяцэ, ну в-аш учиде.”
And he said, They [were] my brethren, [even] the sons of my mother: [as] the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.
20 Ши а зис луй Иетер, ынтыюл луй нэскут: „Скоалэ-те ши учиде-й!” Дар тынэрул ну шь-а скос сабия, пентру кэ-й ера тямэ, кэч ера ынкэ ун копил.
And he said to Jether his first-born, Arise, [and] slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he [was] yet a youth.
21 Зебах ши Цалмуна ау зис: „Скоалэ-те ту ынсуць ши учиде-не! Кэч кум е омул аша е ши путеря луй.” Ши Гедеон с-а скулат ши а учис пе Зебах ши Цалмуна. А луат апой лунишоареле де ла гытул кэмилелор лор.
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man [is], [so is] his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that [were] on their camels' necks.
22 Бэрбаций луй Исраел ау зис луй Гедеон: „Домнеште песте ной, ту ши фиул тэу, ши фиул фиулуй тэу, кэч не-ай избэвит дин мына луй Мадиан.”
Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.
23 Гедеон ле-а зис: „Еу ну вой домни песте вой, нич фиий мей ну вор домни песте вой, чи Домнул ва домни песте вой.”
And Gideon said to them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.
24 Гедеон ле-а зис: „Ам сэ вэ фак о ругэминте: даци-мь фиекаре вериӂиле де нас пе каре ле-аць луат ка прадэ.” (Врэжмаший авяу вериӂь де аур, кэч ерау исмаелиць.)
And Gideon said to them, I would desire a request of you, that you would give me every man the ear-rings of his prey. (For they had golden ear-rings, because they [were] Ishmaelites.)
25 Ей ау зис: „Ци ле вом да ку плэчере.” Ши ау ынтинс о манта, пе каре а арункат фиекаре вериӂиле пе каре ле прэдасе.
And they answered, We will willingly give [them]. And they spread a garment, and cast into it every man the ear-rings of his prey.
26 Греутатя вериӂилор де аур пе каре ле-а черут Гедеон а фост де о мие шапте суте де сикли де аур, афарэ де лунишоаре, де черчеий де аур ши де хайнеле де пурпурэ пе каре ле пуртау ымпэраций Мадианулуй ши афарэ де лэнцишоареле де ла гытул кэмилелор лор.
And the weight of the golden ear-rings that he requested, was a thousand and seven hundred [shekels] of gold; besides ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that [was] on the kings of Midian, and besides the chains that [were] about their camels' necks.
27 Гедеон а фэкут дин еле ун ефод ши л-а пус ын четатя луй, ла Офра, унде а ажунс о причинэ де курвие пентру тот Исраелул ши а фост о курсэ пентру Гедеон ши пентру каса луй.
And Gideon made of it an ephod, and put it in his city, [even] in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither astray after it: which thing became a snare to Gideon, and to his house.
28 Мадианул а фост смерит ынаинтя копиилор луй Исраел ши н-а май ридикат капул. Ши цара а авут одихнэ патрузечь де ань, ын тимпул веций луй Гедеон.
Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they raised their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.
29 Иерубаал, фиул луй Иоас, с-а ынторс ши а локуит ын каса луй.
And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house.
30 Гедеон а авут шаптезечь де фий ешиць дин ел, кэч а авут май мулте невесте.
And Gideon had seventy sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives.
31 Циитоаря луй, каре ера ла Сихем, й-а нэскут де асеменя ун фиу, кэруя й-ау пус нумеле Абимелек.
And his concubine that [was] in Shechem, she also bore him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.
32 Гедеон, фиул луй Иоас, а мурит дупэ о бэтрынеце феричитэ ши а фост ынгропат ын мормынтул татэлуй сэу Иоас, ла Офра, каре ера а фамилией луй Абиезер.
And Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulcher of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.
33 Дупэ моартя луй Гедеон, копиий луй Исраел ау ынчепут ярэшь сэ курвяскэ ку баалий ши ау луат пе Баал-Берит ка думнезеу ал лор.
And it came to pass as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went astray after Baalim, and made Baal-berith their god.
34 Копиий луй Исраел ну шь-ау адус аминте де Домнул Думнезеул лор, каре-й избэвисе дин мына тутурор врэжмашилор каре-й ынконжурау.
And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them from the hands of all their enemies on every side:
35 Ши н-ау цинут ла каса луй Иерубаал, а луй Гедеон, дупэ тот бинеле пе каре-л фэкусе ел луй Исраел.
Neither showed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, [namely] Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shown to Israel.
