1 Самсон с-а коборыт ла Тимна ши а вэзут аколо о фемее дин фетеле филистенилор.
And Samson went down to Timnathah, and saw a woman in Timnathah of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 Кынд с-а суит ынапой, а спус лукрул ачеста татэлуй сэу ши мамей сале ши а зис: „Ам вэзут ла Тимна о фемее дин фетеле филистенилор; луаци-мь-о акум де невастэ.”
And he went up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnathah of the daughters of the Philistines; and now take her for me as wife.
3 Татэл сэу ши мама са й-ау зис: „Ну есте ничо фемее ынтре фетеле фрацилор тэй ши ын тот попорул ностру, де те дучь сэ-ць ей невастэ де ла филистень, каре сунт нетэяць ымпрежур?” Ши Самсон а зис татэлуй сэу: „Я-мь-о, кэч ымь плаче.”
And his father and his mother said to him, Is there no woman among the daughters of thy brethren, and among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the Philistines, the uncircumcised? And Samson said to his father, Take her for me, for she pleases me well.
4 Татэл сэу ши мама са ну штияу кэ лукрул ачеста веня де ла Домнул, кэч Самсон кэута ун прилеж де чартэ дин партя филистенилор. Ын время ачея, филистений стэпыняу песте Исраел.
And his father and his mother did not know that it was of Jehovah, that he was seeking an occasion against the Philistines. Now at that time the Philistines were ruling over Israel.
5 Самсон с-а коборыт ымпреунэ ку татэл сэу ши ку мама са ла Тимна. Кынд ау ажунс ла вииле дин Тимна, ятэ кэ й-а ешит ынаинте ун леу тынэр муӂинд.
And Samson went down, and his father and his mother, to Timnathah; and they came to the vineyards of Timnathah. And behold, a young lion roared against him;
6 Духул Домнулуй а венит песте Самсон ши, фэрэ сэ айбэ чева ын мынэ, Самсон а сфышият пе леу кум се сфышие ун ед. Н-а спус татэлуй сэу ши мамей сале че фэкусе.
and the Spirit of Jehovah came upon him, and he rent it as one rends a kid, and nothing was in his hand. And he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
7 С-а коборыт ши а ворбит ку фемея ачея ши еа й-а плэкут.
And he went down and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 Дупэ кытва тимп, с-а дус ярэшь ла Тимна ка с-о я ши с-а абэтут сэ вадэ хойтул леулуй. Ши ятэ кэ ын трупул леулуй ера ун рой де албине ши мьере.
And he returned after a time to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion; and behold, [there was] a swarm of bees in the carcase of the lion, and honey;
9 А луат мьеря ын мынэ ши а мынкат-о пе друм ши, кынд а ажунс ла татэл сэу ши ла мама са, ле-а дат ши ау мынкат ши ей дин еа. Дар ну ле-а спус кэ луасе мьеря ачаста дин трупул леулуй.
and he took it out in his hands, and went on, and ate as he went. And he came to his father and to his mother, and gave them, and they ate; but he did not tell them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
10 Татэл луй Самсон с-а коборыт ла фемея ачея. Ши аколо Самсон а фэкут ун оспэц, кэч аша фэчяу тинерий.
And his father went down to the woman, and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 Кум л-ау вэзут, ау пофтит трейзечь де товарэшь, каре ау стат ымпреунэ ку ел.
And it came to pass when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions, and they were with him.
12 Самсон ле-а зис: „Ам сэ вэ спун о гичитоаре. Дакэ мь-о вець гичи ын челе шапте зиле але оспэцулуй ши дакэ о вець дезлега, вэ вой да трейзечь де кэмэшь ши трейзечь де хайне де скимб.
And Samson said to them, Let me now propound a riddle to you; if ye clearly explain it to me within the seven days of the feast, and find [it] out, then I will give you thirty shirts, and thirty changes of garments.
13 Дар, дакэ н-о вець гичи, сэ-мь даць вой трейзечь де кэмэшь ши трейзечь де хайне де скимб.” Ей й-ау зис: „Спуне-не гичитоаря та с-о аузим.”
But if ye cannot explain [it] to me, then shall ye give me thirty shirts, and thirty changes of garments. And they said to him, Propound thy riddle, that we may hear it.
14 Ши ел ле-а зис: „Дин чел че мэнынкэ а ешит че се мэнынкэ, Ши дин чел таре а ешит дулчацэ.”
And he said to them, Out of the eater came forth food, And out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days explain the riddle.
15 Трей зиле, н-ау путут дезлега гичитоаря. Ын зиуа а шаптя, ау зис невестей луй Самсон: „Ындуплекэ пе бэрбатул тэу сэ не дезлеӂе гичитоаря, алтфел те вом арде, пе тине ши каса татэлуй тэу. Не-аць адунат аич ка сэ не жефуиць, ну-й аша?”
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said to Samson's wife, Persuade thy husband, that he may explain to us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire. Have ye invited us to impoverish us, — is it not [so]?
16 Неваста луй Самсон плынӂя лынгэ ел ши зичя: „Ту н-ай декыт урэ пентру мине ши ну мэ юбешть; ай спус о гичитоаре копиилор попорулуй меу ши ну мь-ай дезлегат-о!” Ши ел й-а рэспунс: „Н-ам дезлегат-о нич татэлуй меу, нич мамей меле, сэ ць-о дезлег цие?”
And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not. Thou hast propounded the riddle to the children of my people, and hast not explained it to me. And he said to her, Behold, I have not explained it to my father nor my mother, and shall I explain it to thee?
17 Еа а плынс лынгэ ел тот тимпул челор шапте зиле кыт а цинут оспэцул ши, ын зиуа а шаптя, й-а дезлегат-о, кэч ыл некэжя. Ши еа а дат копиилор попорулуй ей дезлегаря гичиторий.
And she wept before him the seven days, while they had the feast. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that he explained it to her, for she pressed him. And she explained the riddle to the children of her people.
18 Оамений дин четате ау зис луй Самсон ын зиуа а шаптя, ынаинте де апусул соарелуй: „Че есте май дулче декыт мьеря ши че есте май таре декыт леул?” Ши ел ле-а зис: „Дакэ н-аць фи арат ку жункана мя, Ну мь-аць фи дезлегат гичитоаря.”
And the men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey, And what stronger than a lion? And he said to them, If ye had not ploughed with my heifer, Ye had not found out my riddle.
19 Духул Домнулуй а венит песте ел ши с-а коборыт ла Аскалон. Аколо а учис трейзечь де оамень, ле-а луат хайнеле ши а дат хайнеле де скимб челор че дезлегасерэ гичитоаря. Ера апринс де мыние ши с-а суит ла каса татэлуй сэу.
And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew of them thirty men, and took their spoil, and gave the changes of garments unto them that explained the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.
20 Невастэ-са а фост датэ унуя дин товарэший луй, ку каре ера приетен ел.
And Samson's wife was [given] to his companion, whom he had made his friend.
