1 Домнул а зис луй Иосуа: „Ну те теме ши ну те ынспэймынта! Я ку тине пе тоць оамений де рэзбой, скоалэ-те, суе-те ымпотрива четэций Ай. Ятэ кэ ыць дау ын мыниле тале пе ымпэратул дин Ай ши пе попорул луй, четатя луй ши цара луй.
Then said Yahweh unto Joshua—Do not fear nor be dismayed, take with thee all the army, and arise, go up to Ai, —see! I have given into thy hand, the king of Ai and his people, and his city, and his land;
2 Сэ фачь четэций Ай кум ай фэкут Иерихонулуй ши ымпэратулуй луй: сэ пэстраць пентру вой нумай прада де рэзбой ши вителе. Пуне ниште оамень ла пындэ ынапоя четэций.”
so shalt thou do unto Ai and to her king, as thou didst unto Jericho unto her king, save only, the spoil thereof and the cattle thereof, shall ye take as your own prey, —set thee an ambush for the city, behind it.
3 Иосуа с-а скулат ку тоць оамений де рэзбой ка сэ се суе ымпотрива четэций Ай. А алес трейзечь де мий де бэрбаць витежь, пе каре й-а порнит ноаптя
So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up to Ai, —and Joshua chose out thirty thousand men, the mighty men of valour, and sent them forth by night.
4 ши ле-а дат урмэтоаря порункэ: „Аскултаць! Сэ вэ пунець ла пындэ ынапоя четэций; сэ ну вэ депэртаць мулт де четате ши тоць сэ фиць гата.
And he commanded them, saying—See! ye, shall be lying in ambush against the city, behind the city, do not go very far from the city, —so shall ye all be ready.
5 Яр еу ши тот попорул каре есте ку мине не вом апропия де четате. Ши кынд вор еши ынаинтя ноастрэ ка ынтыяш датэ, ной о с-о луэм ла фугэ динаинтя лор.
But, I, and all the people who are with me, will draw near unto the city, —and it shall be, when they come out to meet us, as at the first, then will we flee before them;
6 Ей не вор урмэри пынэ кынд ый вом траӂе департе де четате, кэч вор зиче: ‘Фуг динаинтя ноастрэ ка ынтыяш датэ!’ Ши вом фуӂи динаинтя лор.
so will they come out after us, until we have drawn them away from the city, for they will say, Fleeing before us, as at the first! therefore will we flee before them.
7 Вой сэ ешиць атунч де ла пындэ ши сэ пунець мына пе четате, ши Домнул Думнезеул востру о ва да ын мыниле воастре.
Then, ye, shall rise up out of the ambush, and take possession of the city, —and Yahweh your God will deliver it into your hand.
8 Дупэ че вець луа четатя, сэ-й пунець фок, сэ фачець кум а зис Домнул: ачаста есте порунка пе каре в-о дау.”
And it shall be, when ye have seized the city, then shall ye burn the city with fire, according to the word of Yahweh, shall ye do, —see! I have commanded you.
9 Иосуа й-а порнит ши с-ау дус де с-ау ашезат ла пындэ ынтре Бетел ши Ай, ла апус де Ай. Яр Иосуа а петрекут ноаптя ачея ын мижлокул попорулуй.
So Joshua sent them forth, and they went into ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west of Ai, —but Joshua lodged that night in the midst of the people.
10 Иосуа с-а скулат дис-де-диминяцэ, а черчетат попорул ши а порнит ымпотрива четэций Ай ын фрунтя попорулуй, ел ши бэтрыний луй Исраел.
And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and mustered the people, —and went up—he and the elders of Israel, before the people, to Ai.
11 Тоць оамений де рэзбой каре ерау ку ел с-ау суит ши с-ау апропият де четате; кынд ау ажунс ын фаца четэций, ау тэбэрыт ла мязэноапте де Ай, де каре ерау деспэрциць прин вале.
And, all the people of war who were with him, went up, and drew near, and came in, right before the city, —and pitched on the north of Ai, with, a valley, between them and Ai.
12 Иосуа а луат апроапе чинч мий де оамень ши й-а пус ла пындэ ынтре Бетел ши Ай, ла апус де четате.
And he took about five thousand men, —and set them in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west of the city.
13 Дупэ че с-а ашезат тоатэ табэра ла мязэноапте де четате ши чей де пындэ ла апус де четате, Иосуа а ынаинтат ын ноаптя ачея ын мижлокул вэий.
And, when the people had set all the host that was on the north of the city, with the rear thereof on the west of the city, then went Joshua, during the night, into the midst of the valley.
14 Кынд а вэзут ымпэратул четэций Ай лукрул ачеста, оамений дин Ай с-ау скулат ын грабэ дис-де-диминяцэ ши ау ешит ынаинтя луй Исраел, ка сэ-л батэ. Ымпэратул с-а ындрептат, ку тот попорул луй, спре ун лок хотэрыт, ынспре кымпие, ши ну штия кэ ынапоя четэций о мынэ де оамень стэтяу ла пындэ ымпотрива луй.
And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted, and rose up early, and the men of the city came out to meet Israel for battle, he and all his people, at an appointed time, before the waste plain, —he not knowing that there was an ambush lying in wait for him, behind the city.
15 Иосуа ши тот Исраелул с-ау префэкут кэ сунт бэтуць ши ау фуӂит пе друмул динспре пустиу.
So then Joshua and all Israel suffered themselves to be smitten before them, —and fled, by the way of the wilderness;
16 Атунч, тот попорул каре ера ын четате с-а стрынс ка сэ-й урмэряскэ. Ау урмэрит пе Иосуа ши ау фост трашь департе дин четате.
and all the people who were in the city were called out to pursue them, —and they pursued Joshua, and so were drawn out away from the city.
17 Н-а рэмас ничун ом ын Ай ши ын Бетел каре сэ ну фи ешит ымпотрива луй Исраел. Ау лэсат четатя дескисэ ши ау урмэрит пе Исраел.
And there remained not a man, in Ai or Bethel, who had not gone out after Israel, —and they left the city, open, and pursued Israel.
18 Домнул а зис луй Иосуа: „Ынтинде спре Ай сулица пе каре о ай ын мынэ, кэч ам с-о дау ын мына та!” Ши Иосуа а ынтинс спре четате сулица пе каре о авя ын мынэ.
Then said Yahweh unto Joshua—Stretch out with the javelin which is in thy hand, towards Ai, for, into thy hand, will I deliver it. So Joshua stretched out with the javelin which was in his hand, towards the city.
19 Де ындатэ че шь-а ынтинс мына, бэрбаций каре стэтяу ла пындэ ау ешит репеде дин локул унде ерау, ау пэтрунс ын четате, ау луат-о ши с-ау грэбит де й-ау пус фок.
And, the ambush, rose up quickly, out of their place, and ran, when he stretched out his hand, and entered the city, and captured it, —and hasted, and set the city on fire.
20 Оамений дин Ай, уйтынду-се ынапой, ау вэзут фумул четэций суинду-се спре чер ши н-ау май путут сэ скапе ын ничо парте. Попорул каре фуӂя спре пустиу с-а ынторс ымпотрива челор че-л урмэряу,
And the men of Ai turned behind them, and looked, and lo! the smoke of the city had risen up towards the heavens, and there was in them no strength, to flee this way or that way, —moreover, the people that were fleeing to the wilderness, turned back upon the pursuers.
21 кэч Иосуа ши тот Исраелул, вэзынд четатя луатэ де чей че стэтяу ла пындэ ши фумул четэций суинду-се ын сус, с-ау ынторс ши ау бэтут пе оамений дин Ай.
Yea, when, Joshua and all Israel, saw that the ambush had captured the city, and that the smoke of the city had risen up, then returned they, and smote the men of Ai.
22 Чейлалць, де асеменя, ле-ау ешит ынаинте дин четате ши оамений дин Ай ау фост ынконжураць де Исраел дин тоате пэрциле. Исраел й-а бэтут фэрэ сэ ласе унул ку вяцэ, нич вреун фугар;
And, the others, came forth out of the city to meet them, so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side, —and they smote them, until there was left them none to remain or to escape.
23 пе ымпэратул дин Ай л-ау принс виу ши л-ау адус ла Иосуа.
And, the king of Ai, they caught alive, —and brought him near unto Joshua.
24 Дупэ че а испрэвит Исраел де учис пе тоць локуиторий дин Ай, ын кымп ши ын пустиу, унде ый урмэрисерэ ей, ши дупэ че тоць ау фост трекуць ын тотул прин аскуцишул сабией, тот Исраелул с-а ынторс ла Ай ши а трекут четатя прин аскуцишул сабией.
And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness whither they had pursued them, and all of them had fallen by the edge of the sword until they were consumed, then all Israel returned to Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.
25 Ын тотал ау фост доуэспрезече мий де иншь учишь ын зиуа ачея, бэрбаць ши фемей, тоць оамень дин Ай.
And so it was, that all who fell that day, both of men and of women, were twelve thousand, —all people of Ai.
26 Иосуа ну шь-а трас мына пе каре о циня ынтинсэ ку сулица пынэ че тоць локуиторий ау фост нимичиць ку десэвыршире.
Now, Joshua, drew not back his hand which he had stretched out with the javelin, —until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
27 Исраел а пэстрат пентру сине доар вителе ши прада дин четатя ачаста, дупэ порунка пе каре о дэдусе луй Иосуа Домнул.
Nevertheless, the cattle and the spoil of that city, Israel took as their own prey, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he commanded Joshua.
28 Иосуа а арс четатя Ай ши а фэкут дин еа пентру тотдяуна ун морман де дэрымэтурь, каре се веде пынэ ын зиуа де азь.
So then Joshua burned Ai, —and made of it an age-abiding heap—a desolation, [as it remaineth] until this day.
29 А спынзурат де ун лемн пе ымпэратул дин Ай ши л-а лэсат пе лемн пынэ сяра. Ла апусул соарелуй, Иосуа а порунчит сэ и се кобоаре трупул де пе лемн; л-ау арункат ла интраря порций четэций ши ау ридикат пе ел о маре грэмадэ де петре, каре есте пынэ ын зиуа де азь.
And, the king of Ai, hanged he on a tree until eventide, —but, at the going in of the sun, Joshua gave command and they took down his dead body from the tree, and cast it in at the opening of the gate of the city, and raised up over it a great heap of stones—[which remaineth] until this day.
30 Атунч, Иосуа а зидит ун алтар Домнулуй Думнезеулуй луй Исраел пе мунтеле Ебал,
Than, built Joshua, an altar, unto Yahweh, God of Israel, —in Mount Ebal:
31 кум порунчисе копиилор луй Исраел Мойсе, робул Домнулуй, ши кум есте скрис ын картя леӂий луй Мойсе: ера ун алтар де петре нечоплите, песте каре ну трекусе ферул. Пе алтарул ачеста ау адус Домнулуй ардерь-де-тот ши жертфе де мулцумире.
as Moses, the servant of Yahweh, commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the scroll of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, whereon had not been wielded any tool of iron, —and they caused to go up thereon, ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, and sacrificed peace-offerings.
32 Ши аколо Иосуа а скрис пе петре о копие а леӂий пе каре о скрисесе Мойсе ынаинтя копиилор луй Исраел.
Then wrote he there, upon the stones, a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote, in the presence of the sons of Israel.
33 Тот Исраелул, бэтрыний, май-марий оштий ши жудекэторий луй стэтяу де амындоуэ пэрциле кивотулуй, ынаинтя преоцилор, дин нямул левицилор, каре дучяу кивотул легэмынтулуй Домнулуй; ерау де фацэ атыт стрэиний, кыт ши копиий луй Исраел, жумэтате ын дрептул мунтелуй Гаризим ши жумэтате ын дрептул мунтелуй Ебал, дупэ порунка пе каре о дэдусе май ынаинте Мойсе, робул Домнулуй, ка сэ бинекувынтезе пе попорул Исраел.
And, all Israel, and their elders and officers, and their judges, were standing on this side and on that side of the ark, before the priests the Levites, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, as well the sojourner as the home-born, half of them over against Mount Gerizim, and half of them over against Mount Ebal, —as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded to bless the sons of Israel, first of all.
34 Иосуа а читит апой тоате кувинтеле леӂий, бинекувынтэриле ши блестемеле, дупэ кум есте скрис ын картя леӂий.
And, after that, read he all the words of the law, the blessing and the cursing, —according to all that was written in the scroll of the law.
35 Н-а рэмас нимик дин тот че порунчисе Мойсе пе каре сэ ну-л фи читит Иосуа ын фаца ынтреӂий адунэрь а луй Исраел, ын фаца фемеилор, копиилор ши стрэинилор каре мерӂяу ын мижлокул лор.
Them was not a word of all that Moses commanded, —which Joshua read not before all the convocation of Israel, with the women and the little ones, and the sojourner who was going on in their midst.
