ИОНА 1
1 Кувынтул Домнулуй а ворбит луй Иона, фиул луй Амитай, астфел:
And the word of Jehovah came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
2 „Скоалэ-те, ду-те ла Ниниве, четатя чя маре, ши стригэ ымпотрива ей! Кэч рэутатя ей с-а суит пынэ ла Мине!”
Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
3 Ши Иона с-а скулат сэ фугэ ла Тарс, департе де Фаца Домнулуй. С-а коборыт ла Иафо ши а гэсит аколо о корабие каре мерӂя ла Тарс. А плэтит прецул кэлэторией ши с-а суит ын корабие ка сэ мяргэ ымпреунэ ку кэлэторий ла Тарс, департе де Фаца Домнулуй.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of Jehovah; and he went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish, from the presence of Jehovah.
4 Дар Домнул а фэкут сэ суфле пе маре ун вынт нэпрасник ши а стырнит о маре фуртунэ. Корабия аменинца сэ се сфэрыме.
But Jehovah sent out a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest upon the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
5 Корэбиерий с-ау темут, а стригат фиекаре ла думнезеул луй ши ау арункат ын маре унелтеле дин корабие, ка с-о факэ май ушоарэ. Иона с-а коборыт ын фундул корабией, с-а кулкат ши а адормит дус.
And the mariners were afraid, and cried every one unto his god; and they cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to be lightened of them. But Jonah had gone down into the lower part of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
6 Кырмачул с-а апропият де ел ши й-а зис: „Че дормь? Скоалэ-те ши кямэ пе Думнезеул тэу! Поате кэ Думнезеу ва вои сэ се гындяскэ ла ной, ши ну вом пери!”
And the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, sleeper? arise, call upon thy God; perhaps God will think upon us, that we perish not.
7 Ши ау зис унул кэтре алтул: „Вениць сэ траӂем ла сорць, ка сэ штим дин причина куй а венит песте ной ненорочиря ачаста!” Ау трас ла сорць, ши сорцул а кэзут пе Иона.
And they said each one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. And they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
8 Атунч, ей й-ау зис: „Спуне-не дин причина куй а венит песте ной ненорочиря ачаста? Че месерие ай ши де унде вий? Каре ыць есте цара ши дин че попор ешть?”
And they said unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us: what is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
9 Ел ле-а рэспунс: „Сунт евреу ши мэ тем де Домнул Думнезеул черурилор, каре а фэкут маря ши ускатул!”
And he said unto them, I am a Hebrew, and I fear Jehovah, the God of the heavens, who hath made the sea and the dry [land].
10 Оамений ачея ау авут о маре тямэ ши й-ау зис: „Пентру че ай фэкут лукрул ачеста?” Кэч оамений ачея штияу кэ фуӂя де Фаца Домнулуй, пентру кэ ле спусесе ел.
Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, What is this thou hast done? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of Jehovah: for he had told them.
11 Ей й-ау зис: „Че сэ-ць фачем ка сэ се потоляскэ маря фацэ де ной?” Кэч маря ера дин че ын че май ынфуриятэ.
And they said unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea grew more and more tempestuous.
12 Ел ле-а рэспунс: „Луаци-мэ ши арункаци-мэ ын маре, ши маря се ва линишти фацэ де вой! Кэч штиу кэ дин вина мя вине песте вой ачастэ маре фуртунэ!”
And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that because of me this great tempest is upon you.
13 Оамений ачештя высляу ка сэ ажунгэ ла ускат, дар ну путяу, пентру кэ маря се ынтэрыта тот май мулт ымпотрива лор.
But the men rowed hard to regain the land; but they could not; for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them.
14 Атунч ау стригат кэтре Домнул ши ау зис: „Доамне, ну не перде дин причина веций омулуй ачестуя ши ну не ымповэра ку сынӂе невиноват! Кэч Ту, Доамне, фачь че врей!”
And they cried unto Jehovah and said, Ah, Jehovah, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, Jehovah, hast done as it pleased thee.
15 Апой ау луат пе Иона ши л-ау арункат ын маре. Ши фурия мэрий с-а потолит.
And they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from its raging.
16 Пе оамений ачея й-а апукат о маре фрикэ де Домнул ши ау адус Домнулуй о жертфэ ши Й-ау фэкут журуинце.
And the men feared Jehovah exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto Jehovah, and made vows.
17 Домнул а тримис ун пеште маре сэ ынгитэ пе Иона ши Иона а стат ын пынтечеле пештелуй трей зиле ши трей нопць.
And Jehovah prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
