Еклезиастул 2
1 Ам зис инимий меле: „Хайде! Вряу сэ те ынчерк ку веселие ши густэ феричиря.” Дар ятэ кэ ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне.
I said in my heart, Come now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and behold, this also [is] vanity.
2 Ам зис рысулуй: „Ешть о небуние!” ши веселией: „Че те ыншель деӂяба?”
I said of laughter, [It is] mad: and of mirth, What doeth it?
3 Ам хотэрыт ын инима мя сэ-мь веселеск трупул ку вин, ын тимп че инима мэ ва кырмуи ку ынцелепчуне, ши сэ стэруеск астфел ын небуние пынэ вой ведя че есте бине сэ факэ фиий оаменилор суб черурь, ын тот тимпул веций лор.
I sought in my heart, to give myself to wine, yet acquainting my heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what [was] that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.
4 Ам фэкут лукрурь марь: мь-ам зидит касе, мь-ам сэдит вий,
I made me great works; I built me houses; I planted me vineyards:
5 мь-ам фэкут грэдинь ши ливезь де помь ши ам сэдит ын еле тот фелул де помь родиторь.
I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all [kind of] fruits:
6 Мь-ам фэкут язурь ка сэ уд думбрава унде креск копачий.
I made me pools of water, to water with them the wood that bringeth forth trees:
7 Ам кумпэрат робь ши роабе ши ам авут копий де касэ; ам авут чирезь де бой ши турме де ой май мулт декыт тоць чей че фусесерэ ынаинте де мине ын Иерусалим.
I procured [me] servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:
8 Мь-ам стрынс арӂинт ши аур, ши богэций ка де ымпэраць ши цэрь. Мь-ам адус кынтэрець ши кынтэреце ши десфэтаря фиилор оаменилор: о мулциме де фемей.
I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings, and of the provinces: I procured me men-singers and women-singers, and the delights of the sons of men, [as] musical instruments, and of all sorts.
9 Ам ажунс маре, май маре декыт тоць чей че ерау ынаинтя мя ын Иерусалим. Мь-ам пэстрат кяр ынцелепчуня.
So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me.
10 Тот че мь-ау пофтит окий ле-ам дат; ну мь-ам оприт инима де ла ничо веселие, чи ам лэсат-о сэ се букуре де тоатэ труда мя, ши ачаста мь-а фост партя дин тоатэ остеняла мя.
And whatever my eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labor: and this was my portion of all my labor.
11 Апой, кынд м-ам уйтат ку бэгаре де сямэ ла тоате лукрэриле пе каре ле фэкусем ку мыниле меле ши ла труда ку каре ле фэкусем, ам вэзут кэ ын тоате есте нумай дешертэчуне ши гоанэ дупэ вынт ши кэ ну есте нимик трайник суб соаре.
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do: and behold, all [was] vanity and vexation of spirit, and [there was] no profit under the sun.
12 Атунч мь-ам ынторс привириле спре ынцелепчуне, простие ши небуние. – Кэч че ва фаче омул каре ва вени дупэ ымпэрат? Чея че с-а фэкут ши май ынаинте. –
And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what [can] the man [do] that cometh after the king? [even] that which hath been already done.
13 Ши ам вэзут кэ ынцелепчуня есте ку атыт май де фолос декыт небуния, ку кыт есте май де фолос лумина декыт ынтунерикул.
Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.
14 Ынцелептул ышь аре окий ын кап, яр небунул умблэ ын ынтунерик. Дар ам бэгат де сямэ кэ ши унул, ши алтул ау ачеяшь соартэ.
The wise man's eyes [are] in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.
15 Ши ам зис ын инима мя: „Дакэ ши еу вой авя ачеяшь соартэ ка небунул, атунч пентру че ам фост май ынцелепт?” Ши ам зис ын инима мя: „Ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне.”
Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also [is] vanity.
16 Кэч помениря ынцелептулуй ну есте май вешникэ декыт а небунулуй: кяр ын зилеле урмэтоаре, тотул есте уйтат. Ши апой ши ынцелептул моаре, ши небунул!
For [there is] no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now [is] in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise [man]? as the fool.
17 Атунч ам урыт вяца, кэч ну мь-а плэкут че се фаче суб соаре: тотул есте дешертэчуне ши гоанэ дупэ вынт.
Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun [is] grievous to me: for all [is] vanity and vexation of spirit.
18 Мь-ам урыт пынэ ши тоатэ мунка пе каре ам фэкут-о суб соаре, мункэ пе каре о лас омулуй каре вине дупэ мине, ка сэ се букуре де еа.
Yes, I hated all my labor which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it to the man that shall be after me.
19 Ши чине штие дакэ ва фи ынцелепт сау небун? Ши тотушь ел ва фи стэпын пе тоатэ мунка мя, пе каре ам агонисит-о ку трудэ ши ынцелепчуне суб соаре. Ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне.
And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise [man] or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labor in which I have labored, and in which I have showed myself wise under the sun. This [is] also vanity.
20 Ам ажунс пынэ аколо кэ м-а апукат о маре дезнэдежде де тоатэ мунка пе каре ам фэкут-о суб соаре.
Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labor which I took under the sun.
21 Кэч есте кыте ун ом каре а мунчит ку ынцелепчуне, ку причепере ши ку избындэ, ши ласэ родул мунчий луй унуй ом каре ну с-а остенит делок ку еа. Ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне ши ун маре рэу.
For there is a man whose labor is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not labored in it, shall he leave it [for] his portion. This also [is] vanity and a great evil.
22 Кэч, дрепт ворбинд, че фолос аре омул дин тоатэ мунка луй ши дин тоатэ стрэдуинца инимий луй, ку каре се трудеште суб соаре?
For what hath man of all his labor, and of the vexation of his heart, in which he hath labored under the sun?
23 Тоате зилеле луй сунт плине де дурере, ши труда луй ну есте декыт неказ: нич мэкар ноаптя н-аре одихнэ инима луй. Ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне.
For all his days [are] sorrows, and his labor grief; yes, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity.
24 Ну есте алтэ феричире пентру ом декыт сэ мэнынче ши сэ бя ши сэ-шь ынвеселяскэ суфлетул ку че есте бун дин агонисяла луй! Дар ам вэзут кэ ши ачаста вине дин мына луй Думнезеу.
[There is] nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and [that] he should make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it [was] from the hand of God.
25 Чине, ын адевэр, поате сэ мэнынче ши сэ се букуре фэрэ Ел?
For who can eat, or who else can hasten [to it] more than I?
26 Кэч Ел дэ омулуй плэкут Луй ынцелепчуне, штиинцэ ши букурие, дар челуй пэкэтос ый дэ грижа сэ стрынгэ ши с-адуне, ка сэ дя челуй плэкут луй Думнезеу! Ши ачаста есте о дешертэчуне ши гоанэ дупэ вынт.
For [God] giveth to a man who [is] good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth toil, to gather, and to amass, that he may give to [him that is] good before God. This also [is] vanity and vexation of spirit.
