1 Кынд вей мерӂе ла рэзбой ымпотрива врэжмашилор тэй ши вей ведя кай ши каре ши ун попор май маре ла нумэр декыт тине, сэ ну те темь де ей, кэч Домнул Думнезеул тэу, каре те-а скос дин цара Еӂиптулуй, есте ку тине.
When thou goest out to battle against thy enemies, and thou seest horse, and chariot, people more in number than thou: be not afraid of them; for the Lord thy God is with thee, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
2 Ла апропиеря луптей, преотул сэ винэ ши сэ ворбяскэ попорулуй.
And it shall be, when ye come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people;
3 Сэ ле спунэ: ‘Аскултэ, Исраеле! Вой астэзь сунтець апроапе де луптэ ымпотрива врэжмашилор воштри. Сэ ну ви се тулбуре инима, фиць фэрэ тямэ, ну вэ ынспэймынтаць, ну вэ ынгрозиць динаинтя лор.
And he shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye come nigh this day unto the battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and be not downcast, and do not tremble because of them:
4 Кэч Домнул Думнезеул востру мерӂе ку вой, ка сэ батэ пе врэжмаший воштри, ка сэ вэ мынтуяскэ.’
For the Lord your God it is who goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to help you.
5 Май-марий оштирий сэ ворбяскэ апой попорулуй ши сэ зикэ: ‘Чине а зидит о касэ ноуэ ши ну с-а ашезат ынкэ ын еа сэ плече ши сэ се ынтоаркэ акасэ, ка сэ ну моарэ ын луптэ ши сэ се ашезе алтул ын еа.
And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there who hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
6 Чине а сэдит о вие ши н-а мынкат ынкэ дин еа сэ плече ши сэ се ынтоаркэ акасэ, ка сэ ну моарэ ын луптэ ши сэ мэнынче алтул дин еа.
And what man is there who hath planted a vineyard, and hath not redeemed it? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man redeem it.
7 Чине с-а логодит ку о фемее ши н-а луат-о ынкэ сэ плече ши сэ се ынтоаркэ акасэ, ка сэ ну моарэ ын луптэ ши с-о я алтул.’
And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
8 Май-марий оштирий сэ ворбяскэ май департе попорулуй ши сэ спунэ: ‘Чине есте фрикос ши слаб ла инимэ сэ плече ши сэ се ынтоаркэ акасэ, ка сэ ну ынмоае инима фрацилор луй.’
And the officers shall speak yet farther unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and faint-hearted? let him go and return unto his house, that the heart of his brethren become not as faint as his heart.
9 Дупэ че май-марий оштирий вор испрэви де ворбит попорулуй, сэ ашезе пе кэпетенииле оштирий ын фрунтя попорулуй.
And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people, that they shall appoint captains of the armies at the head of the people.
10 Кынд те вей апропия де о четате ка сэ те баць ымпотрива ей, с-о ымбий ку паче.
When thou comest nigh unto a city to make war against it, then summon it with words of peace.
11 Дакэ примеште пачя ши-ць дескиде порциле, тот попорул каре се ва афла ын еа сэ-ць дя бир ши сэ-ць фие супус.
And it shall be, if it make thee an answer of peace, and open [its gates] unto thee: then shall it be, that all the people that are found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.
12 Дакэ ну примеште пачя ку тине ши вря сэ факэ рэзбой ку тине, атунч с-о ымпресорь.
But if it will not make peace with thee, and wageth war against thee; then shalt thou besiege it;
13 Ши, дупэ че Домнул Думнезеул тэу о ва да ын мыниле тале, сэ тречь прин аскуцишул сабией пе тоць чей де парте бэрбэтяскэ.
And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thy hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword;
14 Дар сэ ей пентру тине невестеле, копиий, вителе ши тот че ва май фи ын четате, тоатэ прада, ши сэ мэнынчь тоатэ прада врэжмашилор тэй пе каре ци-й ва да ын мынэ Домнул Думнезеул тэу.
But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that may be in the city, all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take as booty unto thyself; and thou shalt enjoy the spoil of thy enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.
15 Аша сэ фачь ку тоате четэциле каре вор фи фоарте департе де тине ши каре ну фак парте дин четэциле нямурилор ачестора.
Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
16 Дар ын четэциле попоарелор ачестора, а кэрор царэ ць-о дэ ка моштенире Домнул Думнезеул тэу, сэ ну лашь ку вяцэ нимик каре суфлэ.
But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, shalt thou not let live a single soul.
17 Чи сэ нимичешть ку десэвыршире попоареле ачеля, пе хетиць, пе амориць, пе канааниць, пе ферезиць, пе хевиць ши иебусиць, кум ць-а порунчит Домнул Думнезеул тэу,
But thou shalt utterly devote them; namely, the Hittites, and the Emorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee;
18 ка сэ ну вэ ынвеце сэ фачець дупэ тоате урычуниле пе каре ле фак еле пентру думнезеий лор ши сэ пэкэтуиць астфел ымпотрива Домнулуй Думнезеулуй востру.
In order that they may not teach you to do in accordance with all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; and ye would thus sin against the Lord your God.
19 Дакэ вей ымпресура мулте зиле о четате ку каре ешть ын рэзбой, ка с-о кучерешть, помий сэ ну-й стричь, тэинду-й ку секуря; сэ мэнынчь дин ей ши сэ ну-й тай, кэч помул де пе кымп есте оаре ун ом ка сэ фие нимичит прин ымпресураре де тине?
When thou besiegest a city a long time, to make war against it to capture it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them; for of them thou mayest eat, and thou shalt not cut them down, [for man liveth of the trees of the field, ] to employ them in thy siege;
20 Нумай копачий пе каре-й вей шти кэ ну сунт помь бунь де мынкат вей путя сэ-й стричь ши сэ-й тай ши вей путя сэ фачь ку ей ынтэритурь ымпотрива четэций каре есте ын рэзбой ку тине, пынэ ва кэдя.
Only those trees of which thou knowest that they are not fruit-trees, thou mayest destroy and cut down; and [thus] thou canst build bulwarks against the city that wageth war with thee, until it be subdued.
