Даниел 4

1 „Небукаднецар, ымпэратул, кэтре тоате попоареле, нямуриле, оамений де тоате лимбиле, каре локуеск пе тот пэмынтул: Сэ авець мултэ паче!

Nebuchadnezzar the king unto all the peoples, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied unto you.

2 Ам гэсит ку кале сэ фак куноскуте семнеле ши минуниле пе каре ле-а фэкут Думнезеул чел Пряыналт фацэ де мине.

It hath seemed good unto me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God hath wrought toward me.

3 Кыт де марь сунт семнеле Луй ши кыт де путерниче сунт минуниле Луй! Ымпэрэция Луй есте о ымпэрэцие вешникэ, ши стэпыниря Луй дэйнуеште дин ням ын ням!

How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

4 Еу, Небукаднецар, трэям лиништит ын каса мя ши феричит ын палатул меу.

I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in my house, and flourishing in my palace.

5 Ам висат ун вис каре м-а ынспэймынтат; гындуриле де каре ерам урмэрит ын патул меу ши веденииле духулуй меу мэ умпляу де гроазэ.

I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

6 Ам порунчит атунч сэ адукэ ынаинтя мя пе тоць ынцелепций Бабилонулуй ка сэ-мь тылкуяскэ висул.

And I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.

7 Ындатэ ау венит врэжиторий, чититорий ын стеле, халдеений ши гичиторий. Ле-ам спус висул, ши ну ми л-ау путут тылкуи.

Then came in the scribes, the magicians, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers; and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation of it.

8 Ла урмэ де тот, с-а ынфэцишат ынаинтя мя Даниел, нумит Белтшацар дупэ нумеле думнезеулуй меу ши каре аре ын ел духул думнезеилор челор сфинць. Й-ам спус висул ши ам зис:

But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and before him I told the dream:

9 ‘Белтшацаре, кэпетения врэжиторилор, штиу кэ ай ын тине духул думнезеилор сфинць ши кэ пентру тине ничо тайнэ ну есте гря, деч тылкуеште-мь веденииле пе каре ле-ам авут ын вис.

O Belteshazzar, master of the scribes, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret is too hard for thee, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, and the interpretation of it.

10 Ятэ веденииле каре мь-ау трекут прин кап кынд ерам ын пат. Мэ уйтам ши ятэ кэ ын мижлокул пэмынтулуй ера ун копак фоарте ыналт.

Thus were the visions of my head upon my bed: I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.

11 Копакул ачеста с-а фэкут маре ши путерник, вырфул луй се ынэлца пынэ ла черурь ши се ведя де ла марӂиниле ынтрегулуй пэмынт.

The tree grew, and was strong, and its height reached unto the heavens, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth.

12 Фрунза луй ера фрумоасэ ши авя роаде мулте; ын ел се гэся хранэ пентру тоць; фяреле кымпулуй се адэпостяу суб умбра луй, пэсэриле черулуй ышь фэчяу куйбул ын рамуриле луй ши орьче фэптурэ вие се хрэня дин ел.

Its leaves were beautiful, and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field found shade under it, and the birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.

13 Ын веденииле каре-мь тречяу прин кап ын патул меу, мэ уйтам ши ятэ кэ с-а коборыт дин черурь ун стрэжер сфынт.

I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from the heavens;

14 Ел а стригат ку путере ши а ворбит аша: «Тэяць копакул ши рупець рамуриле; скутураци-й фрунза ши рисипиць роаделе; фугэриць фяреле де суб ел ши пэсэриле дин рамуриле луй!

he cried aloud, and said thus: Hew down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit; let the beasts get away from under it, and the birds from its branches.

15 Дар трункюл ку рэдэчиниле луй лэсаци-л ын пэмынт ши легаци-л ку ланцурь де фер ши де арамэ ын ярба де пе кымп, ка сэ фие удат де роуа черулуй ши сэ фие ла ун лок ку фяреле ын ярба пэмынтулуй.

Nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be bathed with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth.

16 Инима луй де ом и се ва префаче ынтр-о инимэ де фярэ ши вор трече шапте времурь песте ел.

Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.

17 Хотэрыря ачаста а фост луатэ ын сфатул стрэжерилор ши пусэ ла кале ынаинтя сфинцилор, ка сэ штие чей вий кэ Чел Пряыналт стэпынеште песте ымпэрэция оаменилор, кэ о дэ куй ый плаче ши ыналцэ ын еа пе чел май де жос динтре оамень!»

This sentence is by the decree of the watchers, and the decision by the word of the holy ones: that the living may know that the Most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

18 Ятэ висул пе каре л-ам висат еу, ымпэратул Небукаднецар. Ту, Белтшацар, тылкуеште-л, фииндкэ тоць ынцелепций дин ымпэрэция мя ну пот сэ ми-л тылкуяскэ; ту ынсэ поць, кэч ай ын тине духул думнезеилор сфинць.’

This dream I, king Nebuchadnezzar, have seen; and thou, Belteshazzar, tell the interpretation, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation; but thou art able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.

19 Атунч, Даниел, нумит Белтшацар, а рэмас уймит о клипэ ши гындуриле луй ыл тулбурау. Ымпэратул а луат дин ноу кувынтул ши а зис: ‘Белтшацаре, сэ ну те тулбуре висул ши тылкуиря!’ Ши Белтшацар а рэспунс: ‘Домнул меу, висул ачеста сэ фие пентру врэжмаший тэй ши тылкуиря луй, пентру потривничий тэй!

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, nor its interpretation, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and its interpretation to thine enemies!

20 Копакул пе каре л-ай вэзут, каре се фэкусе атыт де маре ши путерник ынкыт и се ынэлца вырфул пынэ ла черурь ши се ведя де ла тоате капетеле пэмынтулуй,

The tree that thou sawest, which grew and was strong, whose height reached unto the heavens, and the sight of it to all the earth;

21 копакул ачеста, а кэруй фрунзэ ера аша де фрумоасэ ши каре авя роаде атыт де мулте ши ын каре ера хранэ пентру тоць, суб каре се адэпостяу фяреле кымпулуй ши ын рамуриле кэруя ышь фэчяу куйбул пэсэриле черулуй,

whose leaves were beautiful, and its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and in whose branches the birds of the heavens had their habitation:

22 ешть ту, ымпэрате, каре ай ажунс маре ши путерник, а кэруй мэриме а крескут ши с-а ынэлцат пынэ ла черурь ши а кэруй стэпынире се ынтинде пынэ ла марӂиниле пэмынтулуй.

it is thou, O king, who art grown and become strong; for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto the heavens, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.

23 Ымпэратул а вэзут пе ун стрэжер сфынт коборынду-се ши зикынд: «Тэяць копакул ши нимичици-л, дар трункюл ку рэдэчиниле луй лэсаци-л ын пэмынт ши легаци-л ку ланцурь де фер ши де арамэ ын ярба де пе кымп, ка сэ фие удат де роуа черулуй ши сэ стя ла ун лок ку фяреле кымпулуй пынэ вор трече шапте времурь песте ел.»

And whereas the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from the heavens, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be bathed with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him:

24 Ятэ тылкуиря ачестуй фапт, ымпэрате, ятэ хотэрыря Челуй Пряыналт, каре се ва ымплини асупра домнулуй меу, ымпэратул.

this is the interpretation, O king, and it is the decree of the Most High, which cometh upon my lord the king:

25 Те вор изгони дин мижлокул оаменилор, вей локуи ла ун лок ку фяреле кымпулуй ши ыць вор да сэ мэнынчь ярбэ ка ла бой; вей фи удат де роуа черулуй ши шапте времурь вор трече песте тине, пынэ вей куноаште кэ Чел Пряыналт стэпынеште песте ымпэрэция оаменилор ши о дэ куй вря.

They shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and thou shalt be bathed with the dew of heaven; and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the Most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

26 Порунка сэ ласе трункюл ку рэдэчиниле копакулуй ынсямнэ кэ ымпэрэция та ыць ва рэмыне цие ындатэ че вей рекуноаште стэпыниря Челуй че есте ын черурь.

And whereas it was commanded to leave the stump of the roots of the tree; thy kingdom shall remain unto thee, after that thou shalt know that the heavens do rule.

27 Де ачея, ымпэрате, плакэ-ць сфатул меу! Пуне капэт пэкателор тале ши трэеште ын неприхэнире, рупе-о ку нелеӂюириле тале ши ай милэ де чей ненорочиць, ши поате кэ ци се ва прелунӂи феричиря!’

Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.

28 Тоате ачесте лукрурь с-ау ымплинит асупра ымпэратулуй Небукаднецар.

All this came upon king Nebuchadnezzar.

29 Дупэ доуэспрезече лунь, пе кынд се плимба пе акоперишул палатулуй ымпэрэтеск дин Бабилон,

At the end of twelve months he was walking upon the royal palace of Babylon:

30 ымпэратул а луат кувынтул ши а зис: ‘Оаре ну есте ачеста Бабилонул чел маре пе каре ми л-ам зидит еу, ка лок де шедере ымпэрэтяскэ, прин путеря богэцией меле ши спре слава мэрецией меле?’

the king spoke and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?

31 Ну се сфыршисе ынкэ ворба ачаста а ымпэратулуй, ши ун глас с-а коборыт дин чер ши а зис: ‘Афлэ, ымпэрате Небукаднецар, кэ ци с-а луат ымпэрэция!

While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from the heavens: King Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken: The kingdom is departed from thee;

32 Те вор изгони дин мижлокул оаменилор ши вей локуи ла ун лок ку фяреле кымпулуй; ыць вор да сэ мэнынчь ярбэ ка ла бой ши вор трече песте тине шапте времурь пынэ вей рекуноаште кэ Чел Пряыналт стэпынеште песте ымпэрэция оаменилор ши кэ о дэ куй вря!’

and they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field; they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the Most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

33 Кяр ын клипа ачея с-а ымплинит кувынтул ачела асупра луй Небукаднецар. А фост изгонит дин мижлокул оаменилор, а мынкат ярбэ ка боий, трупул й-а фост удат де роуа черулуй пынэ й-а крескут пэрул ка пенеле вултурулуй ши унгииле ка гяреле пэсэрилор.

The same hour was the word fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar; and he was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen; and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven, till his hair grew like eagles' [feathers], and his nails like birds' [claws].

34 Дупэ тречеря времий сорочите, еу, Небукаднецар, ам ридикат окий спре чер ши мь-а венит ярэшь минтя ла лок. Ам бинекувынтат пе Чел Пряыналт, ам лэудат ши слэвит пе Чел че трэеште вешник, Ачела а кэруй стэпынире есте вешникэ ши а кэруй ымпэрэцие дэйнуеште дин ням ын ням.

And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto the heavens, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.

35 Тоць локуиторий пэмынтулуй сунт о нимика ынаинтя Луй; Ел фаче че вря ку оастя черурилор ши ку локуиторий пэмынтулуй ши нимень ну поате сэ стя ымпотрива мыний Луй, нич сэ-Й зикэ: ‘Че фачь?’

And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of the heavens, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

36 Ын время ачея, мь-а венит минтя ынапой; слава ымпэрэцией меле, мэреция ши стрэлучиря мя ми с-ау дат ынапой; сфетничий ши май-марий мей дин ноу м-ау кэутат; ам фост пус ярэшь песте ымпэрэция мя ши путеря мя а крескут.

At the same time mine understanding returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my nobles sought me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added unto me.

37 Акум, еу, Небукаднецар, лауд, ыналц ши слэвеск пе Ымпэратул черурилор, кэч тоате лукрэриле Луй сунт адевэрате, тоате кэиле Луй сунт дрепте ши Ел поате сэ смеряскэ пе чей че умблэ ку мындрие!”

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of the heavens, all whose works are truth, and his paths judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
