1 Ын ал дойля ан ал домнией луй Небукаднецар, Небукаднецар а авут ниште висе. Духул ый ера тулбурат ши й-а перит сомнул.
And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams. And his spirit was troubled, and his sleep went from him.
2 Ымпэратул а порунчит сэ кеме пе врэжиторь, пе чититорий ын стеле, пе дескынтэторь ши пе халдеень ка сэ-й спунэ виселе. Ей ау венит ши с-ау ынфэцишат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй.
Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the enchanters, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.
3 Ымпэратул ле-а зис: „Ам висат ун вис; духул ымь есте тулбурат ши аш вря сэ штиу висул ачела.”
And the king said to them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.
4 Халдеений ау рэспунс ымпэратулуй ын лимба арамаикэ: „Вешник сэ трэешть, ымпэрате! Спуне робилор тэй висул ши-ць вом арэта тылкуиря луй!”
Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in the Syrian language, O king, live forever. Tell thy servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.
5 Ымпэратул а луат ярэшь кувынтул ши а зис халдеенилор: „Мь-а скэпат дин минте лукрул ачела. Дакэ ну-мь вець фаче куноскуте висул ши тылкуиря луй, вець фи фэкуць букэць ши каселе воастре вор фи префэкуте ынтр-ун морман де мурдэрий.
The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me. If ye do not make the dream and the interpretation of it known to me, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
6 Дар, дакэ-мь вець спуне висул ши тылкуиря луй, вець прими де ла мине дарурь ши рэсплэтирь ши маре чинсте. Де ачея, спунеци-мь висул ши тэлмэчиря луй!”
But if ye show the dream and the interpretation of it, ye shall receive gifts and rewards and great honor from me. Therefore show the dream and the interpretation of it to me.
7 Ей ау рэспунс а доуа оарэ: „Сэ спунэ ымпэратул робилор сэй висул, ши и-л вом тэлмэчи!”
They answered the second time and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.
8 Ымпэратул а луат ярэшь кувынтул ши а зис: „Вэд, ку адевэрат, кэ воиць сэ кыштигаць време, пентру кэ ведець кэ лукрул мь-а скэпат дин минте.
The king answered and said, I know of a certainty that ye would gain time, because ye see the thing has gone from me.
9 Дакэ деч ну-мь вець спуне висул, вэ аштяптэ пе тоць ачеяшь соартэ, фииндкэ врець сэ вэ ынцелеӂець ка сэ-мь спунець минчунь ши неадевэрурь пынэ се вор скимба времуриле. Де ачея, спунеци-мь висул, ка сэ штиу дакэ сунтець ын старе сэ ми-л ши тылкуиць!”
But if ye do not make known to me the dream, there is but one law for you, for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me till the time is changed. Therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can show me the interpretation of it.
10 Халдеений ау рэспунс ымпэратулуй: „Ну есте нимень пе пэмынт каре сэ поатэ спуне че чере ымпэратул; де ачея ничодатэ ничун ымпэрат, орькыт де маре ши путерник ар фи фост, н-а черут аша чева де ла ничун врэжитор, чититор ын стеле сау халдеян!
The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth who can show the king's matter. Inasmuch as no king, lord, or ruler, has asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or Chaldean.
11 Че чере ымпэратул есте греу; ну есте нимень каре сэ спунэ лукрул ачеста ымпэратулуй, афарэ де зей, а кэрор локуинцэ ну есте принтре муриторь!”
And it is a rare thing that the king requires, and there is no other who can show it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
12 Ла аузул ачестор кувинте, ымпэратул с-а мыният ши с-а супэрат фоарте таре. А порунчит сэ пярдэ пе тоць ынцелепций Бабилонулуй.
For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
13 Хотэрыря ешисе, ынцелепций ынчепусерэ сэ фие оморыць ши кэутау ши пе Даниел ши пе товарэший луй ка сэ-й пярдэ.
So the decree went forth, and the wise men were to be slain. And they sought Daniel and his companions to be slain.
14 Атунч, Даниел а ворбит ку минте ши ку жудекатэ луй Ариок, кэпетения стрэжерилор ымпэратулуй, каре ешисе сэ омоаре пе ынцелепций Бабилонулуй.
Then Daniel returned answer with counsel and prudence to Arioch, the captain of the king's guard, who went forth to kill the wise men of Babylon.
15 А луат кувынтул ши а зис луй Ариок, кэпитанул ымпэратулуй: „Пентру че а дат ымпэратул о порункэ атыт де аспрэ?” Ариок а спус луй Даниел кум стау лукруриле.
He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so urgent from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
16 Ши Даниел с-а дус ла ымпэрат ши л-а ругат сэ-й дя време ка сэ дя ымпэратулуй тылкуиря.
And Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would appoint him a time, and he would show the king the interpretation.
17 Апой Даниел с-а дус ын каса луй ши а спус деспре лукрул ачеста товарэшилор сэй Ханания, Мишаел ши Азария,
Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,
18 ругынду-й сэ чарэ ындураря Думнезеулуй черурилор пентру ачастэ тайнэ, ка сэ ну пярэ Даниел ши товарэший сэй одатэ ку чейлалць ынцелепць ай Бабилонулуй.
that they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret, that Daniel and his companions should nor perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19 Дупэ ачея и с-а дескоперит луй Даниел тайна ынтр-о ведение ын тимпул нопций. Ши Даниел а бинекувынтат пе Думнезеул черурилор.
Then the secret was shown to Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
20 Даниел а луат кувынтул ши а зис: „Бинекувынтат сэ фие Нумеле луй Думнезеу, дин вешничие ын вешничие! Але Луй сунт ынцелепчуня ши путеря.
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his.
21 Ел скимбэ времуриле ши ымпрежурэриле; Ел рэстоарнэ ши пуне пе ымпэраць; Ел дэ ынцелепчуне ынцелепцилор ши причепере челор причепуць!
And he changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.
22 Ел дескоперэ че есте адынк ши аскунс; Ел штие че есте ын ынтунерик ши ла Ел локуеште лумина.
He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.
23 Пе Тине, Думнезеул пэринцилор мей, Те слэвеск ши Те лауд кэ мь-ай дат ынцелепчуне ши путере ши мь-ай фэкут куноскут че Ць-ам черут ной, кэч не-ай дескоперит тайна ымпэратулуй!”
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might, and has now made known to me what we desired of thee, for thou have made known to us the king's matter.
24 Дупэ ачея, Даниел с-а дус ла Ариок, кэруя ый порунчисе ымпэратул сэ пярдэ пе ынцелепций Бабилонулуй; с-а дус ши й-а ворбит аша: „Ну перде пе ынцелепций Бабилонулуй! Ду-мэ ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши вой да ымпэратулуй тылкуиря!”
Therefore Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said thus to him: Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon. Bring me in before the king, and I will show to the king the interpretation.
25 Ариок а дус деграбэ пе Даниел ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши й-а ворбит аша: „Ам гэсит ынтре принший де рэзбой ай луй Иуда ун ом каре ва да ымпэратулуй тылкуиря!”
Then Arioch brought Daniel in before the king in haste, and said thus to him: I have found a man of the sons of the captivity of Judah, who will make known the interpretation to the king.
26 Ымпэратул а луат кувынтул ши а зис луй Даниел, каре се нумя Белтшацар: „Ешть ту ын старе сэ-мь спуй висул пе каре л-ам висат ши тылкуиря луй?”
The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Are thou able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation of it?
27 Даниел а рэспунс ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши а зис: „Че чере ымпэратул есте о тайнэ пе каре ынцелепций, чититорий ын стеле, врэжиторий ши гичиторий ну сунт ын старе с-о дескопере ымпэратулуй.
Daniel answered before the king, and said, The secret which the king has demanded, neither wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor soothsayers, can show to the king,
28 Дар есте ын черурь ун Думнезеу каре дескоперэ тайнеле ши каре фаче куноскут ымпэратулуй Небукаднецар че се ва ынтымпла ын времуриле де пе урмэ. Ятэ висул тэу ши веденииле пе каре ле-ай авут ын патул тэу.
but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets. And he has made known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these:
29 Ын патул тэу, ымпэрате, ць-ау венит ын минте гындурь ку привире ла челе че вор фи дупэ ачесте времурь, ши Чел че дескоперэ тайнеле ць-а фэкут куноскут че се ва ынтымпла.
As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter. And he who reveals secrets has made known to thee what shall come to pass.
30 Ынсэ, дакэ ми с-а дескоперит тайна ачаста, ну ынсямнэ кэ есте ын мине о ынцелепчуне май маре декыт а тутурор челор вий, чи пентру ка сэ се дя ымпэратулуй тылкуиря ей ши сэ афли че-ць дореште инима сэ штий.
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living man, but to the intent that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that thou may know the thoughts of thy heart.
31 Ту, ымпэрате, те уйтай ши ятэ кэ ай вэзут ун кип маре. Кипул ачеста ера фоарте маре ши де о стрэлучире немайпоменитэ. Стэтя ын пичоаре ынаинтя та ши ынфэцишаря луй ера ынфрикошэтоаре.
Thou, O king, saw, and, behold, a great image. This image, which was mighty, and whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee, and the appearance of it was fearful.
32 Капул кипулуй ачестуя ера де аур курат; пептул ши брацеле ый ерау де арӂинт; пынтечеле ши коапселе ый ерау де арамэ;
As for this image, its head was of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass,
33 флуереле пичоарелор, де фер; пичоареле, парте де фер ши парте де лут.
its legs of iron, its feet part of iron, and part of clay.
34 Ту те уйтай ла ел, ши с-а дезлипит о пятрэ фэрэ ажуторул вреуней мынь, а избит пичоареле де фер ши де лут але кипулуй ши ле-а фэкут букэць.
Thou looked until a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.
35 Атунч, ферул, лутул, арама, арӂинтул ши аурул с-ау сфэрымат ымпреунэ ши с-ау фэкут ка плява дин арие вара; ле-а луат вынтул ши нич урмэ ну с-а май гэсит дин еле. Дар пятра каре сфэрымасе кипул с-а фэкут ун мунте маре ши а умплут тот пэмынтул.
Then the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, was broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors. And the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them. And the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
36 Ятэ висул. Акум ый вом спуне ши тылкуиря ынаинтя ымпэратулуй.
This is the dream, and we will tell the interpretation of it before the king.
37 Ту, ымпэрате, ешть ымпэратул ымпэрацилор, кэч Думнезеул черурилор ць-а дат ымпэрэцие, путере, богэцие ши славэ.
Thou, O king, are a king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, and the strength, and the glory.
38 Ел ць-а дат ын мынь, орьунде локуеск ей, пе копиий оаменилор, фяреле кымпулуй ши пэсэриле черулуй ши те-а фэкут стэпын песте тоате ачестя: ту ешть капул де аур!
And wherever the sons of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens, he has given into thy hand, and has made thee to rule over them all. Thou are the head of gold.
39 Дупэ тине, се ва ридика о алтэ ымпэрэцие, май неынсемнатэ декыт а та; апой о а трея ымпэрэцие, каре ва фи де арамэ ши каре ва стэпыни песте тот пэмынтул.
And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
40 Ва фи о а патра ымпэрэцие, таре ка ферул; дупэ кум ферул сфэрымэ ши рупе тотул, ши еа ва сфэрыма ши ва рупе тотул, ка ферул каре фаче тотул букэць.
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things. And as iron that crushes all these, it shall break in pieces and crush.
41 Ши, дупэ кум ай вэзут пичоареле ши деӂетеле пичоарелор парте де лут де олар ши парте де фер, тот аша ши ымпэрэция ачаста ва фи ымпэрцитэ, дар ва рэмыне ын еа чева дин тэрия ферулуй, токмай аша кум ай вэзут ферул аместекат ку лутул.
And whereas thou saw the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom. But there shall be of the strength of the iron in it, inasmuch as thou saw the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 Ши, дупэ кум деӂетеле де ла пичоаре ерау парте де фер ши парте де лут, тот аша ши ымпэрэция ачаста ва фи ын парте таре ши ын парте плэпындэ.
And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 Дакэ ай вэзут ферул аместекат ку лутул, ынсямнэ кэ се вор аместека прин легэтурь оменешть де кэсэторие, дар ну вор фи липиць унул де алтул, дупэ кум ферул ну се поате уни ку лутул.
And whereas thou saw the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they shall not cling one to another, even as iron does not mix with clay.
44 Дар, ын время ачестор ымпэраць, Думнезеул черурилор ва ридика о ымпэрэцие каре ну ва фи нимичитэ ничодатэ ши каре ну ва трече суб стэпыниря унуй алт попор. Еа ва сфэрыма ши ва нимичи тоате ачеле ымпэрэций ши еа ынсэшь ва дэйнуи вешник.
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty of it be left to another people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
45 Ачаста ынсямнэ пятра пе каре ай вэзут-о дезлипинду-се дин мунте фэрэ ажуторул вреуней мынь ши каре а сфэрымат ферул, арама, лутул, арӂинтул ши аурул. Думнезеул чел маре а фэкут деч куноскут ымпэратулуй че аре сэ се ынтымпле дупэ ачаста. Висул есте адевэрат ши тылкуиря луй есте темейникэ.”
Inasmuch as thou saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter. And the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
46 Атунч, ымпэратул Небукаднецар а кэзут ку фаца ла пэмынт ши с-а ынкинат ынаинтя луй Даниел ши а порунчит сэ и се адукэ жертфе де мынкаре ши миресме.
Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshiped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odors to him.
47 Ымпэратул а ворбит луй Даниел ши а зис: „Ку адевэрат, Думнезеул востру есте Думнезеул думнезеилор ши Домнул ымпэрацилор ши Ел дескоперэ тайнеле, фииндкэ ай путут сэ дескоперь тайна ачаста!”
The king answered to Daniel, and said, Of a truth your God is the God of gods, and Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since thou have been able to reveal this secret.
48 Апой, ымпэратул а ынэлцат пе Даниел ши й-а дат дарурь мулте ши богате; й-а дат стэпынире песте тот цинутул Бабилонулуй ши л-а пус ка чя май ыналтэ кэпетение а тутурор ынцелепцилор Бабилонулуй.
Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him many great gifts, and made him to rule over the whole province of Babylon, and to be chief governor over all the wise men of Babylon.
49 Даниел а ругат пе ымпэрат сэ дя грижа требурилор цинутулуй Бабилонулуй ын мына луй Шадрак, Мешак ши Абед-Него. Даниел ынсэ а рэмас ла куртя ымпэратулуй.
And Daniel requested of the king, and he appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon, but Daniel was in the gate of the king.
