1 Дупэ че ам скэпат де примеждие, ам афлат кэ островул се кема Малта.
And when they had escaped, then they knew that the isle was called Melita.
2 Барбарий не-ау арэтат о бунэвоинцэ пуцин обишнуитэ, не-ау примит пе тоць ла ун фок маре, пе каре-л апринсесерэ дин причинэ кэ плоуа ши се лэсасе ун фриг маре.
And the barbarous people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3 Павел стрынсесе о грэмадэ де мэрэчинь ши-й пусесе пе фок; о нэпыркэ а ешит афарэ дин причина кэлдурий ши с-а липит де мына луй.
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid [them] on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 Барбарий, кынд ау вэзут нэпырка спынзуратэ де мына луй, ау зис уний кэтре алций: „Ку адевэрат, омул ачеста есте ун учигаш, кэч Дрептатя ну вря сэ-л ласе сэ трэяскэ, мэкар кэ а фост скэпат дин маре.”
And when the barbarians saw the animal hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 Павел а скутурат нэпырка ын фок ши н-а симцит ничун рэу.
And he shook off the animal into the fire, and felt no harm.
6 Оамений ачея се аштептау сэ-л вадэ умфлынду-се сау кэзынд деодатэ морт, дар, дупэ че ау аштептат мулт ши ау вэзут кэ ну и се ынтымплэ ничун рэу, шь-ау скимбат пэреря ши зичяу кэ есте ун зеу.
Yet they looked when he would have swelled, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
7 Ын ымпрежуримь ерау мошииле май-марелуй островулуй, нумит Публиус. Ел не-а примит ши не-а оспэтат ку чя май маре бунэвоинцэ, трей зиле.
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the isle, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
8 Татэл луй Публиус зэчя атунч ын пат, болнав де фригурь ши де урдинаре. Павел с-а дус ла ел, с-а ругат, а пус мыниле песте ел ши л-а виндекат.
And it came to pass that the father of Publius lay sick with a fever, and a bloody-flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
9 Атунч ау венит ши чейлалць болнавь дин островул ачела ши ау фост виндекаць.
So when this was done, others also who had diseases in the isle, came, and were healed:
10 Ни с-а дат маре чинсте ши, ла плекаря ноастрэ ку корабия, не-ау дат тот че не требуя пентру друм.
Who also honored us with many honors; and when we departed, they laded [us] with such things as were necessary.
11 Дупэ о шедере де трей лунь, ам порнит ку о корабие дин Александрия, каре ернасе ын остров ши каре пурта семнул Диоскурилор.
And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
12 Ам ажунс ла Сиракуса ши ам рэмас аколо трей зиле.
And landing at Syracuse, we tarried [there] three days.
13 Де аколо, ам мерс ынаинте, пе лынгэ коастэ ши ам венит ла Реӂио, яр а доуа зи, фииндкэ суфла вынтул де мязэзи, дупэ доуэ зиле, ам венит ла Пузоле,
And from thence we made a circuit, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:
14 унде ам дат песте ниште фраць, каре не-ау ругат сэ май рэмынем шапте зиле ку ей. Ши аша ам ажунс ла Рома.
Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went towards Rome.
15 Дин Рома не-ау ешит ынаинте, пынэ ын „Форул луй Апиу” ши пынэ ла „Челе Трей Кырчумь”, фраций, каре аузисерэ деспре ной. Кынд й-а вэзут Павел, а мулцумит луй Думнезеу ши с-а ымбэрбэтат.
And from thence when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii-forum, and the Three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
16 Кынд ам ажунс ла Рома, суташул а дат пе чей ынтемницаць кэпитанулуй стрэжерилор палатулуй, яр луй Павел и с-а ынгэдуит сэ рэмынэ ынтр-ун лок деосебит, ку ун осташ каре-л пэзя.
And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself, with a soldier that kept him.
17 Дупэ трей зиле, Павел а кемат пе май-марий иудеилор ши, кынд с-ау адунат, ле-а зис: „Фрацилор, фэрэ сэ фи фэкут чева ымпотрива нородулуй сау обичеюрилор пэринцилор ноштри, ам фост бэгат ла ынкисоаре ын Иерусалим ши де аколо ам фост дат ын мыниле романилор.
And it came to pass, that after three days, Paul called together the chief of the Jews. And when they were assembled, he said to them, Men, brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
18 Дупэ че м-ау супус ла черчетаре, ей авяу де гынд сэ-мь дя друмул, пентру кэ ну ера ын мине ничо винэ вредникэ де моарте.
Who when they had examined me, would have let [me] go, because there was no cause of death in me.
19 Дар иудеий с-ау ымпотривит ши ам фост силит сэ чер сэ фиу жудекат де Чезар, фэрэ сэ ам де алтфел ничун гынд сэ пырэск нямул меу.
But when the Jews spoke against [it], I was constrained to appeal to Cesar; not that I had aught to accuse my nation of.
20 Де ачея, в-ам кемат сэ вэ вэд ши сэ ворбеск ку вой, кэч дин причина нэдеждий луй Исраел порт еу ачест ланц.”
For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see [you], and to speak with [you]: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
21 Ей й-ау рэспунс: „Ной н-ам примит дин Иудея ничо скрисоаре ку привире ла тине ши н-а венит аич ничун фрате каре сэ фи спус сау сэ фи ворбит чева рэу деспре тине.
And they said to him, We have neither received letters from Judea concerning thee, neither have any of the brethren that came shown or spoken any harm of thee.
22 Дар ам вря сэ аузим пэреря та, пентру кэ штим кэ партида ачаста претутиндень стырнеште ымпотривире.”
But we desire to hear from thee, what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
23 Й-ау хотэрыт о зи ши ау венит май мулць ла локуинца луй. Павел ле-а вестит Ымпэрэция луй Думнезеу, ле-а адус довезь ши а кэутат сэ-й ынкрединцезе, прин Леӂя луй Мойсе ши прин Пророчь, деспре лукруриле привитоаре ла Исус. Ворбиря циня де диминяцэ пынэ сяра.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into [his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.
24 Уний ау крезут че ле спуня ел, яр алций н-ау крезут.
And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
25 Фииндкэ ей ау плекат акасэ ын неынцелеӂере уний ку алций, Павел н-а адэугат декыт ачесте ворбе: „Бине а спус Духул Сфынт прин пророкул Исая кэтре пэринций воштри,
And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after Paul had spoken one word, Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
26 кынд а зис: ‘Ду-те ла попорул ачеста ши зи-й: «Вець аузи ку урекиле воастре, ши ну вець ынцелеӂе; ку окий воштри вець приви, ши ну вець ведя.
Saying, Go to this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive.
27 Кэч инима ачестуй нород с-а ымпетрит; ей ауд греу ку урекиле, шь-ау ынкис окий, ка ну кумва сэ вадэ ку окий, сэ аудэ ку урекиле, сэ ынцелягэ ку инима, сэ се ынтоаркэ ла Думнезеу ши сэ-й виндек.»’
For the heart of this people is become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Сэ штиць дар кэ мынтуиря ачаста а луй Думнезеу а фост тримисэ нямурилор ши о вор аскулта.”
Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.
29 Кынд а зис ачесте ворбе, иудеий ау плекат, ворбинд ку априндере ынтре ей.
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
30 Павел а рэмас дой ань ынтреӂь ынтр-о касэ пе каре о луасе ку кирие. Примя пе тоць каре веняу сэ-л вадэ,
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in to him,
31 проповэдуя Ымпэрэция луй Думнезеу ши ынвэца пе оамень, ку тоатэ ындрэзняла ши фэрэ ничо педикэ, челе привитоаре ла Домнул Исус Христос.
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
