1 Фестус, кынд а венит ын цинутул сэу, дупэ трей зиле с-а суит де ла Чезарея ын Иерусалим.
Festus therefore, being come into the province, after three days went up from Cesarea to Jerusalem.
2 Преоций чей май де сямэ ши фрунташий иудеилор й-ау адус плынӂере ымпотрива луй Павел. Л-ау ругат ку стэруинцэ
And the high-priest and principal men among the Jews, appeared before him against Paul, and made application to him,
3 ши й-ау черут, ка ун хатыр пентру ей, сэ тримитэ сэ-л адукэ ла Иерусалим. Прин ачаста ый ынтиндяу о курсэ, ка сэ-л омоаре пе друм.
begging the favor of him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem; for they were preparing an ambush to kill him by the way.
4 Фестус а рэспунс кэ Павел есте пэзит ын Чезарея ши кэ ел ынсушь аре сэ плече ын курынд аколо.
But Festus answered, that Paul was in custody at Cesarea, and that he himself should go thither soon.
5 „Деч”, а зис ел, „чей май де фрунте динтре вой сэ се кобоаре ымпреунэ ку мине ши, дакэ есте чева виноват ын омул ачеста, сэ-л пыраскэ.”
Therefore, said he, let those of you who are able, go down with me, and if there be any thing bad in this man, let them accuse him.
6 Фестус н-а зэбовит ынтре ей декыт опт сау зече зиле, апой с-а коборыт ла Чезарея. А доуа зи, а шезут пе скаунул де жудекэтор ши а порунчит сэ фие адус Павел.
And when he had staid among them more than ten days, he went down to Cesarea, and the next day sitting on the tribunal, he commanded Paul to be brought before him.
7 Кынд а сосит Павел, иудеий, каре венисерэ де ла Иерусалим, л-ау ынконжурат ши ау адус ымпотрива луй мулте ши греле ынвинуирь, пе каре ну ле путяу доведи.
And when he was come, the Jews that came down from Jerusalem, stood round about, bringing many heavy charges against Paul, which they were not able to prove:
8 Павел а ынчепут сэ се апере ши а зис: „Н-ам пэкэтуит ку нимик нич ымпотрива Леӂий иудеилор, нич ымпотрива Темплулуй, нич ымпотрива Чезарулуй.”
he answering in his own defence, Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Cesar have I committed any offence.
9 Фестус, каре воя сэ капете бунэвоинца иудеилор, дрепт рэспунс а зис луй Павел: „Врей сэ те суй ла Иерусалим ши сэ фий жудекат пентру ачесте лукрурь ынаинтя мя?”
But Festus, being desirous to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Art thou willing to go up to Jerusalem, and there to be tried concerning these things before me?
10 Павел а зис: „Еу стау ынаинтя скаунулуй де жудекатэ ал Чезарулуй, аколо требуе сэ фиу жудекат. Пе иудей ну й-ам недрептэцит ку нимик, дупэ кум штий ши ту фоарте бине.
Then said Paul, I stand at Cesar's tribunal, where I ought to be tried: I have done no wrong to the Jews, as thou very well knowest.
11 Дакэ ам фэкут врео недрептате сау врео нелеӂюире вредникэ де моарте, ну мэ дау ын лэтурь де ла моарте, дар, дакэ ну есте нимик адевэрат дин лукруриле де каре мэ пырэск ей, нимень н-аре дрептул сэ мэ дя ын мыниле лор. Чер сэ фиу жудекат де Чезар.”
For if I am indeed doing them wrong, and have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be nothing in what these men accuse me of, no one can give me up to them.
12 Атунч, Фестус, дупэ че с-а кибзуит ку сфетничий луй, а рэспунс: „Де Чезар ай черут сэ фий жудекат, ынаинтя Чезарулуй те вей дуче.”
I appeal to Cesar. Then Festus, conferring with his council, answered, Hast thou appealed to Cesar? to Cesar thou shalt go.
13 Дупэ кытева зиле, ымпэратул Агрипа ши Берениче ау сосит ла Чезарея, ка сэ урезе де бине луй Фестус.
And some days after king Agrippa and Bernice came to Cesarea to salute Festus.
14 Фииндкэ ау стат аколо май мулте зиле, Фестус а спус ымпэратулуй кум стау лукруриле ку Павел ши а зис: „Феликс а лэсат ын темницэ пе ун ом
And as they spent several days there, Festus related Paul's case to the king, saying, There is a man left in custody by Felix: concerning whom,
15 ымпотрива кэруя, кынд ерам еу ын Иерусалим, ми с-ау плынс преоций чей май де сямэ ши бэтрыний иудеилор ши й-ау черут осындиря.
when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews appeared in court, desiring judgement against him.
16 Ле-ам рэспунс кэ ла романь ну есте обичеюл сэ се дя ничун ом, ынаинте ка чел пырыт сэ фи фост пус фацэ ку пырыший луй ши сэ фи авут путинца сэ се апере де лукруриле де каре есте пырыт.
To whom I answered, it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man to destruction, till he that is accused have the accusers face to face, and have an opportunity of making his defence concerning the accusation.
17 Ей ау венит деч аич ши, фэрэ ынтырзиере, ам шезут а доуа зи пе скаунул меу де жудекэтор ши ам порунчит сэ адукэ пе омул ачеста.
Therefore when they were come hither, making no delay, I sat on the tribunal the next day, and ordered the man to be brought before me.
18 Пырыший, кынд с-ау ынфэцишат, ну л-ау ынвинуит де ничунул дин лукруриле реле пе каре ми ле ынкипуям еу.
Against whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such things as I supposed they would:
19 Авяу ымпотрива луй нумай ниште неынцелеӂерь ку привире ла релиӂия лор ши ла ун оарекаре Исус, каре а мурит ши деспре каре Павел спуня кэ есте виу.
but had certain questions against him concerning their own religion; and of one Jesus that was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 Фииндкэ ну штиям че хотэрыре сэ яу ын неынцелеӂеря ачаста, л-ам ынтребат дакэ вря сэ мяргэ ла Иерусалим ши сэ фие жудекат аколо пентру ачесте лукрурь.
But I being in doubt as to the dispute concerning these matters, asked him, if he would go to Jerusalem, and there be tried concerning these things.
21 Дар Павел а черут ка причина луй сэ фие цинутэ ка сэ фие супусэ хотэрырий ымпэратулуй ши ам порунчит сэ фие пэзит пынэ че-л вой тримите ла Чезар.”
But when Paul appealed, to be reserved to the hearing of our sovereign, I ordered him to be kept till I could send him to Cesar.
22 Агрипа а зис луй Фестус: „Аш вря сэ ауд ши еу пе омул ачела.” „Мыне”, а рэспунс Фестус, „ыл вей аузи.”
Then Agrippa said to Festus, I should be willing to hear the man myself. And he said, thou shalt hear him to-morrow.
23 А доуа зи деч, Агрипа ши Берениче ау венит ку мултэ фалэ ши ау интрат ын локул де аскултаре ымпреунэ ку кэпитаний ши ку оамений чей май де фрунте ай четэций. Ла порунка луй Фестус, Павел а фост адус аколо.
The next day therefore, Agrippa and Bernice coming with much pomp, and entering into the court, together with the chief officers, and men of greatest eminence in the city, at the command of Festus Paul was brought in.
24 Атунч, Фестус а зис: „Ымпэрате Агрипа ши вой тоць каре сунтець де фацэ ку ной, уйтаци-вэ ла омул ачеста, деспре каре тоатэ мулцимя иудеилор м-а ругат ын Иерусалим ши аич, стригынд кэ ну требуе сэ май трэяскэ.
And Festus said, "King Agrippa and all that are here present with us, ye see this man, concerning whom all the Jews have applied to me, both at Jerusalem and here, crying out, that he ought not to live.
25 Фииндкэ ам ынцелес кэ н-а фэкут нимик вредник де моарте ши фииндкэ сингур а черут сэ фие жудекат де Чезар, ам хотэрыт сэ-л тримит.
But when I found that he had done nothing worthy of death, and as he himself has appealed to the emperor, I have determined to send him.
26 Еу н-ам нимик темейник де скрис домнулуй меу ку привире ла ел, де ачея л-ам адус ынаинтя воастрэ, ши май алес ынаинтя та, ымпэрате Агрипа, ка, дупэ че се ва фаче черчетаря, сэ ам че скрие.
Concerning whom I have nothing certain to write to our sovereign: wherefore I have brought him out before you, and especially before thee, O king Agrippa, that after examination is made I may have somewhat to write.
27 Кэч ми се паре фэрэ ноймэ сэ тримит пе ун ынтемницат, фэрэ сэ арэт де че есте пырыт.”
For it seems to me absurd, to send a prisoner and not to signify the crimes laid against him."
