Фаптеле 22
1 „Фрацилор ши пэринцилор, аскултаць акум кувынтул меу де апэраре фацэ де вой!”
Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye the account which I now give unto you.
2 Кынд ау аузит ей кэ ле ворбеште ын лимба евреяскэ, ау цинут ши май мултэ линиште. Ши Павел а зис:
(And when they heard that he spoke to them in the Hebrew tongue, they kept the more silence.)
3 „Еу сунт иудеу, нэскут ын Тарсул Чиличией, дар ам фост крескут ын четатя ачаста, ам ынвэцат ла пичоареле луй Гамалиел сэ куноск ку де-амэнунтул Леӂя пэринцилор ноштри ши ам фост тот атыт де плин де рывнэ пентру Думнезеу, кум сунтець ши вой тоць азь.
And he saith: I am a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the truth of the law of the fathers, zealous for the law, as also all you are this day:
4 Ам пригонит пынэ ла моарте ачастэ Кале, ам легат ши ам пус ын темницэ бэрбаць ши фемей:
Who persecuted this way unto death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
5 мареле преот ши тот соборул бэтрынилор ымь сунт марторь. Ам луат кяр ши скрисорь де ла ей кэтре фраций дин Дамаск, унде м-ам дус сэ адук легаць ла Иерусалим пе чей че се афлау аколо, ка сэ фие педепсиць.
As the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the ancients: from whom also receiving letters to the brethren, I went to Damascus, that I might bring them bound from thence to Jerusalem to be punished.
6 Кынд ерам пе друм ши мэ апропиям де Дамаск, деодатэ, пе ла амязэ, а стрэлучит ымпрежурул меу о маре луминэ дин чер.
And it came to pass, as I was going, and drawing nigh to Damascus at midday, that suddenly from heaven there shone round about me a great light:
7 Ам кэзут ла пэмынт ши ам аузит ун глас каре-мь зичя: ‘Сауле, Сауле, пентру че Мэ пригонешть?’
And falling on the ground, I heard a voice saying to me: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
8 ‘Чине ешть, Доамне?’, ам рэспунс еу. Ши Ел мь-а зис: ‘Еу сунт Исус дин Назарет, пе каре-Л пригонешть.’
And I answered: Who art thou, Lord? And he said to me: I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
9 Чей че ерау ку мине ау вэзут бине лумина ши с-ау ынфрикошат, дар н-ау аузит гласул Челуй че ворбя.
And they that were with me, saw indeed the light, but they heard not the voice of him that spoke with me.
10 Атунч, ам зис: ‘Че сэ фак, Доамне?’ ‘Скоалэ-те’, мь-а рэспунс Домнул, ‘ду-те ын Дамаск ши аколо ци се ва спуне че требуе сэ фачь.’
And I said: What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said to me: Arise, and go to Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things that thou must do.
11 Фииндкэ ну путям сэ вэд нимик дин причина стрэлучирий луминий ачелея, чей че ерау ку мине м-ау луат де мынэ, ши аша ам ажунс ын Дамаск.
And whereas I did not see for the brightness of that light, being led by the hand by my companions, I came to Damascus.
12 Ши а венит ла мине ун ом нумит Анания, бэрбат темэтор де Думнезеу, дупэ Леӂе, ши пе каре тоць иудеий каре локуеск ын Дамаск ыл ворбяу де бине.
And one Ananias, a man according to the law, having testimony of all the Jews who dwelt there,
13 Ел мь-а зис: ‘Фрате Сауле, капэтэ-ць дин ноу ведеря!’ Кяр ын клипа ачея, мь-ам кэпэтат ведеря ши м-ам уйтат ла ел.
Coming to me, and standing by me, said to me: Brother Saul, look up. And I the same hour looked upon him.
14 Ел мь-а зис: ‘Думнезеул пэринцилор ноштри те-а алес сэ куношть воя Луй, сэ везь пе Чел Неприхэнит ши сэ аузь кувинте дин гура Луй;
But he said: The God of our fathers hath preordained thee that thou shouldst know his will, and see the Just One, and shouldst hear the voice from his mouth.
15 кэч Ый вей фи мартор фацэ де тоць оамений, пентру лукруриле пе каре ле-ай вэзут ши аузит.
For thou shalt be his witness to all men, of those things which thou hast seen and heard.
16 Ши акум, че зэбовешть? Скоалэ-те, примеште ботезул ши фий спэлат де пэкателе тале, кемынд Нумеле Домнулуй.’
And now why tarriest thou? Rise up, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, invoking his name.
17 Ши ми с-а ынтымплат кэ, дупэ че м-ам ынторс ла Иерусалим, пе кынд мэ ругам ын Темплу, ам кэзут ынтр-о рэпире суфлетяскэ
And it came to pass, when I was come again to Jerusalem, and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance,
18 ши ам вэзут пе Домнул, каре-мь зичя: ‘Грэбеште-те, ешь юте дин Иерусалим, кэч ну вор прими мэртурисиря та деспре Мине.’
And saw him saying unto me: Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem; because they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.
19 Ши ам зис: ‘Доамне, ей штиу кэ еу бэгам ын темницэ ши бэтям прин синагоӂь пе чей че кред ын Тине
And I said: Lord, they know that I cast into prison, and beat in every synagogue, them that believed in thee.
20 ши кэ, атунч кынд се вэрса сынӂеле луй Штефан, марторул Тэу, ерам ши еу де фацэ, ымь уням ынкувиинцаря мя ку а челорлалць ши пэзям хайнеле челор че-л оморау.’
And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I stood by and consented, and kept the garments of them that killed him.
21 Атунч, Ел мь-а зис: ‘Ду-те, кэчте вой тримите департе, ла нямурь…’”
And he said to me: Go, for unto the Gentiles afar off, will I send thee.
22 Ей л-ау аскултат пынэ ла кувынтул ачеста. Дар атунч шь-ау ридикат гласул ши ау зис: „Я де пе пэмынт пе ун астфел де ом! Ну есте вредник сэ трэяскэ!”
And they heard him until this word, and then lifted up their voice, saying: Away with such an one from the earth; for it is not fit that he should live.
23 Ши скотяу стригэте, ышь арункау хайнеле ши азвырляу ку цэрынэ ын вэздух.
And as they cried out and threw off their garments, and cast dust into the air,
24 Кэпитанул а порунчит сэ дукэ пе Павел ын четэцуе ши сэ-л черчетезе, бэтынду-л ку бичул, ка сэ афле дин че причинэ стригау аша ымпотрива луй.
The tribune commanded him to be brought into the castle, and that he should be scourged and tortured: to know for what cause they did so cry out against him.
25 Пе кынд ыл легау ку куреле, Павел а зис суташулуй каре ера де фацэ: „Вэ есте ынгэдуит сэ батець пе ун роман каре ну есте осындит?”
And when they had bound him with thongs, Paul saith to the centurion that stood by him: Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
26 Ла аузул ачестор кувинте, суташул с-а дус сэ дя де штире кэпитанулуй ши а зис: „Че ай де гынд сэ фачь? Омул ачеста есте четэцян роман.”
Which the centurion hearing, went to the tribune, and told him, saying: What art thou about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen.
27 Ши кынд а венит кэпитанул, а зис луй Павел: „Спуне-мь, ешть роман?” „Да”, й-а рэспунс ел.
And the tribune coming, said to him: Tell me, art thou a Roman? But he said: Yea.
28 Кэпитанул а зис: „Еу ку о маре сумэ де бань ам добындит четэцения ачаста.” „Ши еу”, а зис Павел, „сунт кяр нэскут роман.”
And the tribune answered: I obtained the being free of this city with a great sum. And Paul said: But I was born so.
29 Нумайдекыт, чей че авяу сэ-л черчетезе прин бэтае ау ынчетат сэ-л май некэжяскэ, ба кэпитанул, кынд а афлат кэ Павел есте роман, с-а темут пентру кэ-л легасе.
Immediately therefore they departed from him that were about to torture him. The tribune also was afraid after he understood that he was a Roman citizen, and because he had bound him.
30 А доуа зи, фииндкэ воя сэ штие бине пентру че есте пырыт де иудей, л-а дезлегат ши а порунчит сэ се адуне лаолалтэ преоций чей май де сямэ ши тот соборул, апой а адус пе Павел жос ши л-а пус ынаинтя лор.
But on the next day, meaning to know more diligently for what cause he was accused by the Jews, he loosed him, and commanded the priests to come together, and all the council: and bringing forth Paul, he set him before them.
