1 Ын Чезарея ера ун ом ку нумеле Корнелиу, суташ дин чата де осташь нумитэ „Италияна”.
Now there was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian cohort.
2 Омул ачеста ера кучерник ши темэтор де Думнезеу, ымпреунэ ку тоатэ каса луй. Ел фэчя мулте милостений нородулуй ши се руга тотдяуна луй Думнезеу.
He was a devout man who feared God along with his entire household; he gave generously to those in need and always prayed to God.
3 Пе ла часул ал ноуэля дин зи, а вэзут лэмурит ынтр-о ведение пе ун ынӂер ал луй Думнезеу кэ а интрат ла ел ши й-а зис: „Корнелие!”
About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God, who came in and said to him, “Cornelius!”
4 Корнелиу с-а уйтат цинтэ ла ел, с-а ынфрикошат ши а рэспунс: „Че есте, Доамне?” Ши ынӂерул й-а зис: „Ругэчуниле ши милостенииле тале с-ау суит ынаинтя луй Думнезеу, ши Ел Шь-а адус аминте де еле.
Staring at him intently, Cornelius was afraid and said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel said to him, “Yoʋr prayers and charitable acts have ascended as a memorial offering before God.
5 Тримите акум ниште оамень ла Иопе ши кямэ пе Симон, зис ши Петру.
Now send men to Joppa and have them bring back Simon, who is called Peter.
6 Ел гэздуеште ла ун ом нумит Симон Тэбэкарул, а кэруй касэ есте лынгэ маре: ачела ыць ва спуне че требуе сэ фачь.”
He is staying with a tanner named Simon, whose house is by the sea.”
7 Кум а плекат ынӂерул каре ворбисе ку ел, Корнелиу а кемат доуэ дин слуӂиле сале ши ун осташ кучерник, дин ачея каре-й служяу ын тот тимпул,
When the angel who spoke to him went away, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among his attendants.
8 ши, дупэ че ле-а историсит тотул, й-а тримис ла Иопе.
After explaining everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.
9 А доуа зи, кынд ерау пе друм ши се апропияу де четате, Петру с-а суит сэ се роаӂе пе акоперишул касей, пе ла часул ал шаселя.
On the next day, as the men were traveling along and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray at about the sixth hour.
10 Л-а ажунс фоамя ши а врут сэ мэнынче. Пе кынд ый прегэтяу мынкаря, а кэзут ынтр-о рэпире суфлетяскэ.
He became hungry and wanted to eat, and as they were preparing a meal, a trance fell upon him.
11 А вэзут черул дескис ши ун вас ка о фацэ де масэ маре, легатэ ку челе патру колцурь, коборынду-се ши слобозинду-се ын жос пе пэмынт.
He saw heaven opened and an object like a large sheet coming down to him. It was tied at its four corners and was being lowered to the earth.
12 Ын еа се афлау тот фелул де добитоаче ку патру пичоаре ши тырытоаре де пе пэмынт ши пэсэриле черулуй.
In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, as well as wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the sky.
13 Ши ун глас й-а зис: „Петре, скоалэ-те, тае ши мэнынкэ.”
Then a voice came to him: “Rise, Peter, kill and eat.”
14 „Ничдекум, Доамне”, а рэспунс Петру. „Кэч ничодатэ н-ам мынкат чева спуркат сау некурат.”
But Peter said, “Surely not, Lord! For I have never eaten anything that is defiled or unclean.”
15 Ши гласул й-а зис ярэшь а доуа оарэ: „Чеа курэцит Думнезеу, сэ ну нумешть спуркат.”
The voice came to him again a second time: “Do not regard as defiled what God has made clean.”
16 Лукрул ачеста с-а фэкут де трей орь, ши ындатэ дупэ ачея, васул а фост ридикат ярэшь ла чер.
This happened three times, and then the object was taken up again into heaven.
17 Пе кынд Петру ну штия че сэ крядэ деспре ынцелесул веденией пе каре о авусесе, ятэ кэ оамений тримишь де Корнелиу, ынтребынд де каса луй Симон, ау стат ла поартэ
While Peter was greatly perplexed, pondering within himself what the vision he had seen might mean, behold, the men sent by Cornelius had asked for Simon's house and were standing at the gate.
18 ши ау ынтребат ку глас таре дакэ Симон, зис ши Петру, гэздуеште аколо.
They called out and asked if Simon, who was called Peter, was staying there.
19 Ши пе кынд се гындя Петру ла ведения ачея, Духул й-а зис: „Ятэ кэ те каутэ трей оамень;
As Peter continued pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, some men are looking for yoʋ.
20 скоалэ-те, кобоарэ-те ши ду-те ку ей фэрэ шовэире, кэч Еу й-ам тримис.”
Now get up, go downstairs, and go with them without any misgivings, for I have sent them.”
21 Петру деч с-а коборыт ши а зис оаменилор ачелора: „Еу сунт ачела пе каре-л кэутаць. Че причинэ вэ адуче?”
So Peter went down to the men and said, “Behold, I am the one you are looking for. For what reason have you come?”
22 Ей ау рэспунс: „Суташул Корнелиу, ом дрепт ши темэтор де Думнезеу ши ворбит де бине де тот нямул иудеилор, а фост ынштиинцат де Думнезеу, принтр-ун ынӂер сфынт, сэ те кеме ын каса луй ши сэ аудэ кувинтеле пе каре и ле вей спуне.”
They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the entire Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for yoʋ to come to his house and to hear a message from yoʋ.”
23 Петру деч й-а кемат ынэунтру ши й-а гэздуит.
So Peter invited them in and put them up for the night. The next day Peter went with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.
24 А доуа зи, с-а скулат ши а плекат ку ей. Л-ау ынсоцит ши кыцьва фраць дин Иопе. Ын чялалтэ зи ау ажунс ла Чезарея. Корнелиу ый аштепта ку руделе ши приетений де апроапе, пе каре-й кемасе.
The following day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
25 Кынд ера сэ интре Петру, Корнелиу, каре-й ешисе ынаинте, с-а арункат ла пичоареле луй ши и с-а ынкинат.
When Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.
26 Дар Петру л-а ридикат ши а зис: „Скоалэ-те, ши еу сунт ом!”
But Peter raised him up, saying, “Stand up; I too am just a man.”
27 Ши ворбинд ку ел, а интрат ын касэ ши а гэсит адунаць пе мулць.
As Peter talked with him, he went in and found many people gathered together.
28 „Штиць”, ле-а зис ел, „кэ ну есте ынгэдуит де Леӂе унуй иудеу сэ се ынсоцяскэ ымпреунэ ку унул де алт ням сау сэ винэ ла ел, дар Думнезеу мь-а арэтат сэ ну нумеск пе ничун ом спуркат сау некурат.
Peter said to them, “You know that it is forbidden for a Jewish man to keep company with or associate with a foreigner, but God has shown me that I should call no one defiled or unclean.
29 Де ачея ам венит фэрэ кыртире кынд м-аць кемат. Вэ ынтреб дар: Ку че гынд аць тримис дупэ мине?”
That is why I came without objection when I was sent for. I ask then, what is the reason you have sent for me?”
30 Корнелиу а рэспунс: „Акум патру зиле, кяр ын клипа ачаста, мэ ругам ын каса мя ла часул ал ноуэля ши ятэ кэ а стат ынаинтя мя ун ом ку о хайнэ стрэлучитоаре
Cornelius said, “Four days ago I was fasting until this hour. At the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing.
31 ши а зис: ‘Корнелие, ругэчуня та а фост аскултатэ ши Думнезеу Шь-а адус аминте де милостенииле тале.
The man said, ‘Cornelius, yoʋr prayer has been heard, and yoʋr charitable acts have been remembered before God.
32 Тримите дар ла Иопе ши кямэ пе Симон, зис ши Петру; ел гэздуеште ын каса луй Симон Тэбэкарул, лынгэ маре. Кынд ва вени ел, ыць ва ворби.’
Therefore send to Joppa and ask for Simon, who is called Peter. He is staying by the sea in the house of a tanner named Simon. When he arrives, he will speak to yoʋ.’
33 Ам тримис ындатэ ла тине ши бине ай фэкут кэ ай венит. Акум дар, тоць сунтем аич ынаинтя луй Думнезеу, ка сэ аскултэм тот че ць-а порунчит Домнул сэ не спуй.”
So I sent for yoʋ at once, and yoʋ have done well by coming. Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that yoʋ have been commanded by God.”
34 Атунч, Петру а ынчепут сэ ворбяскэ ши а зис: „Ын адевэр, вэд кэ Думнезеу ну есте пэртинитор,
Then Peter opened his mouth and said, “Now I truly understand that God shows no partiality,
35 чи кэ, ын орьче ням, чине се теме де Ел ши лукрязэ неприхэнире есте примит де Ел.
but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
36 Ел а тримис Кувынтул Сэу фиилор луй Исраел ши ле-а вестит Евангелия пэчий, прин Исус Христос, каре есте Домнул тутурор.
You yourselves know the message he sent to the sons of Israel, preaching the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all,
37 Штиць ворба фэкутэ прин тоатэ Иудея, ынчепынд дин Галилея, ын урма ботезулуй проповэдуит де Иоан;
the message that spread throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John preached:
38 кум Думнезеу а унс ку Духул Сфынт ши ку путере пе Исус дин Назарет, каре умбла дин лок ын лок, фэчя бине ши виндека пе тоць чей че ерау апэсаць де дяволул, кэч Думнезеу ера ку Ел.
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, who then went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.
39 Ной сунтем марторь а тот че а фэкут Ел ын цара иудеилор ши ын Иерусалим. Ей Л-ау оморыт, атырнынду-Л пе лемн.
We are witnesses of everything he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a cross,
40 Дар Думнезеу Л-а ынвият а трея зи ши а ынгэдуит сэ Се арате,
but God raised him up on the third day and allowed him to be seen,
41 ну ла тот нородул, чи ноуэ, марторилор алешь май динаинте де Думнезеу, ноуэ, каре ам мынкат ши ам бэут ымпреунэ ку Ел дупэ че а ынвият дин морць.
not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses who had been chosen beforehand by God, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
42 Исус не-а порунчит сэ проповэдуим нородулуй ши сэ мэртурисим кэ Ел а фост рындуит де Думнезеу Жудекэторул челор вий ши ал челор морць.
He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one who has been appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead.
43 Тоць пророчий мэртурисеск деспре Ел кэ орьчине креде ын Ел капэтэ, прин Нумеле Луй, ертаря пэкателор.”
All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives remission of sins through his name.”
44 Пе кынд ростя Петру кувинтеле ачестя, С-а коборыт Духул Сфынт песте тоць чей че аскултау Кувынтул.
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.
45 Тоць крединчоший тэяць ымпрежур каре венисерэ ку Петру ау рэмас уймиць кынд ау вэзут кэ дарул Духулуй Сфынт с-а вэрсат ши песте нямурь.
All the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were astonished, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was being poured out even on the Gentiles.
46 Кэч ый аузяу ворбинд ын лимбь ши мэринд пе Думнезеу. Атунч Петру а зис:
For they heard them speaking in tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter responded,
47 „Се поате опри апа ка сэ ну фие ботезаць ачештя, каре ау примит Духул Сфынт ка ши ной?”
“Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”
48 Ши а порунчит сэ фие ботезаць ын Нумеле Домнулуй Исус Христос. Атунч, л-ау ругат сэ май рэмынэ кытева зиле ла ей.
So he gave orders to have them baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.
