1 Рэзбоюл а цинут мулт ынтре каса луй Саул ши каса луй Давид. Давид ера тот май таре, ши каса луй Саул мерӂя слэбинд.

Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul became weaker and weaker.

2 Луй Давид и с-ау нэскут фий ла Хеброн. Ынтыюл луй нэскут а фост Амнон, дин Ахиноам дин Изреел;

And to David were sons born in Hebron: and his first-born was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;

3 ал дойля, Килеаб, дин Абигаил дин Кармел, неваста луй Набал; ал трейля, Абсалом, фиул Маакей, фата луй Талмай, ымпэратул Гешурулуй;

And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

4 ал патруля, Адония, фиул Хагитей; ал чинчиля, Шефатия, фиул Абиталей,

And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;

5 ши ал шаселя, Итреам, дин Егла, неваста луй Давид. Ачештя и с-ау нэскут луй Давид ла Хеброн.

And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.

6 Ын тимпул рэзбоюлуй динтре каса луй Саул ши каса луй Давид, Абнер а цинут ку тэрие ла каса луй Саул.

And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

7 Дар Саул авусесе о циитоаре, нумитэ Рицпа, фата луй Аия. Ши Иш-Бошет а зис луй Абнер: „Пентру че ай интрат ла циитоаря татэлуй меу?”

And Saul had a concubine, whose name [was] Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and [Ish-bosheth] said to Abner, Why hast thou gone in to my father's concubine?

8 Абнер с-а мыният фоарте рэу де кувинтеле луй Иш-Бошет ши а рэспунс: „Оаре кап де кыне сунт еу ши цин ку Иуда? Еу дау астэзь довадэ де бунэвоинцэ фацэ де каса татэлуй тэу Саул, фацэ де фраций ши приетений луй, ну те-ам дат ын мыниле луй Давид, ши астэзь ымь баӂь винэ пентру ун пэкат фэкут ку фемея ачаста?

Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, [Am] I a dog's head, who against Judah do show kindness this day to the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to-day with a fault concerning this woman?

9 Думнезеу сэ педепсяскэ ку тоатэ аспримя пе Абнер, дакэ ну вой фаче кум а журат Домнул луй Давид,

So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;

10 кынд й-а спус кэ ымпэрэция ва фи луатэ де ла каса луй Саул ши кэ скаунул де домние ал луй Давид ва фи ридикат песте Исраел ши песте Иуда, де ла Дан пынэ ла Беер-Шеба.”

To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beer-sheba.

11 Иш-Бошет н-а ындрэзнит сэ май рэспундэ о ворбэ луй Абнер, пентру кэ се темя де ел.

And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.

12 Абнер а тримис соль ла Давид сэ-й спунэ дин партя луй: „А куй есте цара? Фэ легэмынт ку мине, ши мына мя те ва ажута сэ ынторчь ла тине пе тот Исраелул.”

And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose [is] the land? saying [also], Make thy league with me, and behold, my hand [shall be] with thee, to bring about all Israel to thee.

13 Ел а рэспунс: „Бине, вой фаче легэмынт ку тине, дар ыць чер ун лукру: сэ ну-мь везь фаца декыт дакэ-мь вей адуче май ынтый пе Микал, фата луй Саул, кынд вей вени ла мине.”

And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou shalt first bring Michal, Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face.

14 Ши Давид а тримис соль луй Иш-Бошет, фиул луй Саул, сэ-й спунэ: „Дэ-мь пе невастэ-мя Микал, ку каре м-ам логодит пентру о сутэ де препуцурь де ла филистень.”

And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth, Saul's son, saying, Deliver to [me] my wife Michal, whom I espoused to me for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

15 Иш-Бошет а тримис с-о я де ла бэрбатул ей, Палтиел, фиул луй Лаиш.

And Ish-bosheth sent, and took her from [her] husband, [even] from Phaltiel the son of Laish.

16 Ши бэрбатул ей а мерс дупэ еа плынгынд пынэ ла Бахурим. Атунч, Абнер й-а зис: „Плякэ ши ынтоарче-те!” Ши ел с-а ынторс.

And her husband went with her, weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner to him, Go, return. And he returned.

17 Абнер а стат де ворбэ ку бэтрыний луй Исраел ши ле-а зис: „Одиниоарэ вой доряць сэ авець ымпэрат пе Давид;

And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past [to be] king over you:

18 пунеци-л акум, кэч Домнул а зис деспре ел: ‘Прин робул Меу Давид вой избэви пе попорул Меу Исраел дин мына филистенилор ши дин мына тутурор врэжмашилор луй.’”

Now then do [it]: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines, and from the hand of all their enemies.

19 Абнер а ворбит ши луй Бениамин ши с-а дус сэ спунэ ын аузул луй Давид ла Хеброн че хотэрысе Исраел ши тоатэ каса луй Бениамин.

And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.

20 А ажунс ла Давид, ын Хеброн, ынсоцит де доуэзечь де оамень, ши Давид а дат ун оспэц ын чинстя луй Абнер ши а челор каре ерау ку ел.

So Abner came to David in Hebron, and twenty men with him: and David made Abner and the men that [were] with him, a feast.

21 Абнер а зис луй Давид: „Мэ вой скула ши вой плека сэ стрынг тот Исраелул ла домнул меу, ымпэратул, ка сэ факэ легэмынт ку тине ши сэ домнешть ын тотул дупэ доринца та.” Давид а дат друмул луй Абнер, каре а плекат ын паче.

And Abner said to David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thy heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

22 Иоаб ши оамений луй Давид с-ау ынторс де ла урмэриря уней чете ши ау адус ку ей о маре прадэ. Абнер ну май ера ла Давид, ын Хеброн, кэч Давид ый дэдусе друмул ши плекасе ын паче.

And behold, the servants of David and Joab came from [pursuing] a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner [was] not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

23 Кынд а венит Иоаб ку тоатэ чата луй, и с-а спус: „Абнер, фиул луй Нер, а венит ла ымпэрат, каре й-а дат друмул ши с-а дус ын паче.”

When Joab and all the host that [was] with him had come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he hath gone in peace.

24 Иоаб с-а дус ла ымпэрат ши а зис: „Че ай фэкут? Абнер а венит ла тине. Пентру че й-ай дат друмул ши л-ай лэсат сэ плече?

Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came to thee; why [is] it [that] thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?

25 Ту куношть пе Абнер, фиул луй Нер! А венит сэ те ыншеле, ка сэ-ць пындяскэ паший ши сэ штие тот че фачь.”

Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going-out and thy coming-in, and to know all that thou doest.

26 Ши Иоаб, дупэ че а плекат де ла Давид, а тримис пе урмеле луй Абнер ниште соль каре л-ау адус ынапой де ла фынтына фэрэ апэ Сира: Давид ну штия нимик.

And when Joab had come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, who brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew [it] not.

27 Кынд с-а ынторс Абнер ла Хеброн, Иоаб л-а трас деопарте ын мижлокул порций ка сэ-й ворбяскэ ын тайнэ ши л-а ловит аколо ын пынтече ши л-а оморыт, ка сэ рэзбуне моартя фрателуй сэу Асаел.

And when Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth [rib] that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

28 Давид а афлат апой ши а зис: „Невиноват сунт еу ши ымпэрэция мя пе вечие ынаинтя Домнулуй де сынӂеле луй Абнер, фиул луй Нер.

And afterward when David heard [it], he said, I and my kingdom [are] guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

29 Сынӂеле ачеста сэ кадэ асупра луй Иоаб ши асупра ынтреӂий касе а татэлуй сэу! Тотдяуна сэ фие ын каса луй Иоаб чинева атинс де о скурӂере де сэмынцэ сау де лепрэ, сау каре сэ се реземе ын кыржэ, сау сэ кадэ учис де сабие, сау сэ дукэ липсэ де пыне!”

Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

30 Астфел, Иоаб ши фрателе сэу Абишай ау оморыт пе Абнер пентру кэ оморысе пе фрателе лор Асаел ын лупта де ла Габаон.

So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.

31 Давид а зис луй Иоаб ши ынтрегулуй попор каре ера ку ел: „Рупеци-вэ хайнеле, ынчинӂеци-вэ ку сачь ши бочици-вэ ынаинтя луй Абнер!” Ши ымпэратул Давид мерӂя ын урма сикриулуй.

And David said to Joab, and to all the people that [were] with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David [himself] followed the bier.

32 Ау ынгропат пе Абнер ла Хеброн. Ымпэратул а ридикат гласул ши а плынс ла мормынтул луй Абнер, ши тот попорул плынӂя.

And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.

33 Ымпэратул а фэкут урмэтоаря кынтаре де жале пентру Абнер ши а зис: „Сэ моарэ Абнер кум моаре ун мишел?

And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?

34 Н-авяй нич мыниле легате, Нич пичоареле пусе ын ланцурь Ай кэзут кум каде чинева ынаинтя челор рэй!” Ши тот попорул а плынс ши май мулт дупэ Абнер.

Thy hands [were] not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, [so] fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.

35 Тот попорул с-а апропият де Давид ка сэ-л факэ сэ мэнынче чева кыт ера ынкэ зиуэ, дар Давид а журат зикынд: „Сэ мэ педепсяскэ Думнезеу ку тоатэ аспримя дакэ вой густа пыне сау алтчева ынаинте де апусул соарелуй!”

And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, If I taste bread or aught else, till the sun is down.

36 Лукрул ачеста а фост куноскут ши плэкут ла тот попорул; тоць ау гэсит кэ ера бине че фэкусе ымпэратул.

And all the people took notice [of it], and it pleased them: as what ever the king did pleased all the people.

37 Тот попорул ши тот Исраелул ау ынцелес ын зиуа ачея кэ Абнер, фиул луй Нер, ну фусесе учис дин порунка ымпэратулуй.

For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.

38 Ымпэратул а зис служиторилор сэй: „Ну штиць кэ о кэпетение, ун ом маре, а кэзут астэзь ын Исраел?

And the king said to his servants, Know ye not that there hath a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

39 Еу сунт ынкэ слаб, мэкар кэ ам примит унӂеря ымпэрэтяскэ, ши оамений ачештя, фиий Церуей, сунт пря путерничь пентру мине. Домнул сэ рэсплэтяскэ дупэ рэутатя луй челуй че а фэкут рэул!”

And I [am] this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah [are] too hard for me. The LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
