2 Самуел 19
1 Ау венит ши ау спус луй Иоаб: „Ятэ кэ ымпэратул плынӂе ши се желеште дин причина луй Абсалом.”
Then it was reported to Joab, “The king is weeping and mourning over Absalom.”
2 Ши, ын зиуа ачея, бируинца с-а префэкут ын жале пентру тот попорул, кэч ын зиуа ачея, попорул аузя зикынду-се: „Ымпэратул есте мыхнит дин причина фиулуй сэу.”
And that day’s victory was turned into mourning for all the people, because on that day they were told, “The king is grieving over his son.”
3 Ын ачеяшь зи, попорул а интрат ын четате пе фуриш, ка ниште оамень рушинаць кэ ау фуӂит дин луптэ.
So they returned to the city quietly that day, as people steal away in humiliation after fleeing a battle.
4 Ымпэратул ышь акоперисе фаца ши стрига ын гура маре: „Фиул меу Абсалом! Абсалом, фиул меу, фиул меу!”
But the king covered his face and cried out at the top of his voice, “O my son Absalom! O Absalom, my son, my son!”
5 Иоаб а интрат ын одая унде ера ымпэратул ши а зис: „Ту акоперь азь де рушине фаца тутурор служиторилор тэй, каре ау скэпат азь вяца та, а фиилор тэй ши а фетелор тале, а невестелор тале ши а циитоарелор тале.
Then Joab went into the house and said to the king, “Today you have disgraced all your servants who have saved your life and the lives of your sons and daughters, of your wives, and of your concubines.
6 Ту юбешть пе чей че те урэск ши урэшть пе чей че те юбеск, кэч арэць азь кэ пентру тине ну сунт нич кэпетений, нич служиторь; ши вэд акум кэ, дакэ ар трэи Абсалом ши ной тоць ам фи мурит ын зиуа ачаста, лукрул ачеста ць-ар фи плэкут.
You love those who hate you and hate those who love you! For you have made it clear today that the commanders and soldiers mean nothing to you. I know today that if Absalom were alive and all of us were dead, it would have pleased you!
7 Скоалэ-те дар, ешь ши ворбеште дупэ инима служиторилор тэй! Кэч жур пе Домнул кэ, дакэ ну ешь сэ те арэць, ну ва рэмыне ун ом ку тине ын ноаптя ачаста, ши ачаста ва фи о ненорочире май ря пентру тине декыт тоате ненорочириле каре ци с-ау ынтымплат дин тинереце пынэ акум.”
Now therefore get up! Go out and speak comfort to your servants, for I swear by the LORD that if you do not go out, not a man will remain with you tonight. This will be worse for you than all the adversity that has befallen you from your youth until now!”
8 Атунч, ымпэратул с-а скулат ши а шезут ла поартэ. Ау спус ла тот попорул: „Ятэ кэ ымпэратул стэ ла поартэ.” Ши тот попорул а венит ынаинтя ымпэратулуй. Ынсэ Исраел фуӂисе, фиекаре ын кортул луй.
So the king got up and sat in the gate, and all the people were told: “Behold, the king is sitting in the gate.” So they all came before the king. Meanwhile, the Israelites had fled, each man to his home.
9 Ши ын тоате семинцииле луй Исраел, тот попорул се черта зикынд: „Ымпэратул не-а избэвит дин мына врэжмашилор ноштри, ел не-а скэпат дин мына филистенилор, ши акум а требуит сэ фугэ дин царэ динаинтя луй Абсалом.
And all the people throughout the tribes of Israel were arguing, “The king rescued us from the hand of our enemies and delivered us from the hand of the Philistines, but now he has fled the land because of Absalom.
10 Ши Абсалом, пе каре-л унсесем сэ домняскэ песте ной, а мурит ын бэтэлие. Де че ну пунець о ворбэ пентру ынтоарчеря ымпэратулуй?”
But Absalom, the man we anointed over us, has died in battle. So why do you say nothing about restoring the king?”
11 Ла рындул сэу, ымпэратул Давид а тримис сэ спунэ преоцилор Цадок ши Абиатар: „Ворбиць бэтрынилор луй Иуда ши спунеци-ле: ‘Пентру че аць фи вой чей дин урмэ пентру ынтоарчеря ымпэратулуй ын каса луй? (Кэч че се спуня ын тот Исраелул ажунсесе пынэ ла ымпэрат.)
Then King David sent this message to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests: “Say to the elders of Judah, ‘Why should you be the last to restore the king to his palace, since the talk of all Israel has reached the king at his quarters?
12 Вой сунтець фраций мей, сунтець ос дин оаселе меле ши карне дин карня мя. Пентру че аць фи вой чей дин урмэ пентру адучеря ымпэратулуй ынапой?’
You are my brothers, my own flesh and blood. So why should you be the last to restore the king?’
13 Ши луй Амаса спунеци-й аша: ‘Ну ешть ту оаре ос дин оаселе меле ши карне дин карня мя? Сэ мэ педепсяскэ Думнезеу ку тоатэ аспримя дакэ ну вей фи ынаинтя мя пентру тотдяуна кэпетения оштирий ын локул луй Иоаб!’”
And say to Amasa, ‘Aren’t you my flesh and blood? May God punish me, and ever so severely, if from this time you are not the commander of my army in place of Joab!’”
14 Давид а ынмуят инима тутурор челор дин Иуда, де паркэ ар фи фост ун сингур ом, ши ау тримис сэ спунэ ымпэратулуй: „Ынтоарче-те, ту ши тоць служиторий тэй.”
So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah as though they were one man, and they sent word to the king: “Return, you and all your servants.”
15 Ымпэратул с-а ынторс ши а ажунс пынэ ла Йордан. Ши Иуда с-а дус ла Гилгал, ка сэ ясэ ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши сэ-л факэ сэ трякэ Йорданул.
So the king returned, and when he arrived at the Jordan, the men of Judah came to Gilgal to meet him and escort him across the Jordan.
16 Шимей, фиул луй Гера, Бениамитул, каре ера дин Бахурим, с-а грэбит сэ се кобоаре ку чей дин Иуда ынаинтя ымпэратулуй Давид.
Then Shimei son of Gera, a Benjamite from Bahurim, hurried down with the men of Judah to meet King David,
17 Авя ку ел о мие де оамень дин Бениамин ши пе Циба, май-мареле касей луй Саул, ши пе чей чинчспрезече фий ши пе чей доуэзечь де робь ай луй Циба. Ау трекут Йорданул ын фаца ымпэратулуй.
along with a thousand men of Benjamin, as well as Ziba the steward of the house of Saul and his fifteen sons and twenty servants. They rushed down to the Jordan before the king
18 Лунтря пусэ ла ындемына ымпэратулуй токмай порнисе ка сэ-й трякэ ши каса динколо; ши ын клипа кынд ера сэ трякэ ымпэратул Йорданул, Шимей, фиул луй Гера, с-а ынкинат ынаинтя луй.
and crossed at the ford to carry over the king’s household and to do what was good in his sight. When Shimei son of Gera crossed the Jordan, he fell down before the king
19 Ши а зис ымпэратулуй: „Сэ ну цинэ сямэ домнул меу де нелеӂюиря мя, сэ уйте кэ робул тэу л-а окэрыт ын зиуа кынд ымпэратул, домнул меу, ешя дин Иерусалим ши сэ ну цинэ сямэ ымпэратул де лукрул ачеста!
and said, “My lord, do not hold me guilty, and do not remember your servant’s wrongdoing on the day my lord the king left Jerusalem. May the king not take it to heart.
20 Кэч робул тэу мэртурисеште кэ а пэкэтуит. Ши ятэ, вин астэзь, чел динтый дин тоатэ каса луй Иосиф, ынаинтя ымпэратулуй, домнул меу.”
For your servant knows that I have sinned, so here I am today as the first of all the house of Joseph to come down to meet my lord the king.”
21 Атунч, Абишай, фиул Церуей, а луат кувынтул ши а зис: „Ну требуе оаре сэ моарэ Шимей пентру кэ а блестемат пе унсул Домнулуй?”
But Abishai son of Zeruiah said, “Shouldn’t Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?”
22 Дар Давид а зис: „Че ам еу ку вой, фиий Церуей, ши пентру че вэ арэтаць астэзь потривничий мей? Астэзь сэ се омоаре оаре вреун ом ын Исраел? Ну штиу еу кэ ымпэрэцеск азь песте Исраел?”
And David replied, “Sons of Zeruiah, what have I to do with you, that you should be my adversaries today? Should any man be put to death in Israel today? Am I not indeed aware that today I am king over Israel?”
23 Ши ымпэратул а зис луй Шимей: „Ну вей мури!” Ымпэратул й-а журат кэ ну-л ва оморы.
So the king said to Shimei, “You shall not die.” And the king swore an oath to him.
24 Мефибошет, фиул луй Саул, с-а коборыт ши ел ынаинтя ымпэратулуй. Ну-шь ынгрижисе нич пичоареле, нич барба, нич ну-шь спэласе хайнеле дин зиуа кынд плекасе ымпэратул пынэ ын зиуа кынд се ынторчя ын паче.
Then Mephibosheth, Saul’s grandson, went down to meet the king. He had not cared for his feet or trimmed his mustache or washed his clothes from the day the king had left until the day he returned safely.
25 Кынд с-а дус ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ла Иерусалим, ымпэратул й-а зис: „Пентру че н-ай венит ку мине, Мефибошет?”
And he came from Jerusalem to meet the king, who asked him, “Mephibosheth, why did you not go with me?”
26 Ши ел а рэспунс: „Ымпэрате, домнул меу, служиторул меу м-а ыншелат, кэч робул тэу, каре есте олог, зисесе: ‘Вой пуне шауа пе мэгар, вой ынкэлека пе ел ши вой мерӂе ку ымпэратул.’
“My lord the king,” he replied, “because I am lame, I said, ‘I will have my donkey saddled so that I may ride on it and go with the king.’ But my servant Ziba deceived me,
27 Ши ел а ыннегрит пе робул тэу ла домнул меу, ымпэратул. Дар домнул меу, ымпэратул, есте ка ун ынӂер ал луй Думнезеу. Фэ че вей креде.
and he has slandered your servant to my lord the king. Yet my lord the king is like the angel of God, so do what is good in your eyes.
28 Кэч тоць чей дин каса татэлуй меу ау фост ниште оамень вредничь де моарте ынаинтя ымпэратулуй, домнул меу, ши тотушь ту ай пус пе робул тэу ын рындул челор че мэнынкэ ла масэ ку тине. Че дрепт май пот авя еу ши че ам сэ чер еу ымпэратулуй?”
For all the house of my grandfather deserves death from my lord the king, yet you have set your servant among those who eat at your table. What further right, then, do I have to keep appealing to the king?”
29 Ымпэратул й-а зис: „Че май ворбешть атыта? Ам спус: ‘Ту ши Циба вець ымпэрци пэмынтуриле.’”
The king replied, “Why say any more? I hereby declare that you and Ziba are to divide the land.”
30 Ши Мефибошет а зис ымпэратулуй: „Сэ я кяр тотул, кэч ымпэратул, домнул меу, се ынтоарче ын паче акасэ.”
And Mephibosheth said to the king, “Instead, since my lord the king has safely come to his own house, let Ziba take it all!”
31 Барзилай, Галаадитул, с-а коборыт дин Рогелим ши а трекут Йорданул ымпреунэ ку ымпэратул, ка сэ-л петрякэ пынэ динколо де Йордан.
Now Barzillai the Gileadite had come down from Rogelim to cross the Jordan with the king and send him on his way from there.
32 Барзилай ера фоарте бэтрын, ын вырстэ де оптзечь де ань. Ел ынгрижисе де ымпэрат ын тимпул шедерий луй ла Маханаим, кэч ера ун ом фоарте богат.
Barzillai was quite old, eighty years of age, and since he was a very wealthy man, he had provided for the king while he stayed in Mahanaim.
33 Ымпэратул а зис луй Барзилай: „Вино ку мине, ши те вой хрэни ла мине, ын Иерусалим.”
The king said to Barzillai, “Cross over with me, and I will provide for you at my side in Jerusalem.”
34 Дар Барзилай а рэспунс ымпэратулуй: „Кыць ань вой май трэи, ка сэ мэ суй ку ымпэратул ла Иерусалим?
But Barzillai replied, “How many years of my life remain, that I should go up to Jerusalem with the king?
35 Еу сунт астэзь ын вырстэ де оптзечь де ань. Пот еу сэ май куноск че есте бун ши че есте рэу? Поате робул тэу сэ май айбэ вреун густ пентру че мэнынкэ ши бя? Пот еу сэ май ауд гласул кынтэрецилор ши кынтэрецелор? Ши пентру че сэ май фие робул тэу о поварэ пентру домнул меу, ымпэратул?
I am now eighty years old. Can I discern what is good and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats or drinks? Can I still hear the voice of singing men and women? Why should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?
36 Робул тэу ва мерӂе пуцин динколо де Йордан ку ымпэратул. Де алтфел, пентру че мь-ар фаче ымпэратул ачастэ бинефачере?
Your servant could go with the king only a short distance past the Jordan; why should the king repay me with such a reward?
37 Сэ се ынтоаркэ робул тэу ши сэ мор ын четатя мя, лынгэ мормынтул татэлуй меу ши ал мамей меле! Дар ятэ кэ робул тэу Кимхам ва трече ку ымпэратул, домнул меу; фэ че вей креде пентру ел.”
Please let your servant return, that I may die in my own city near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Chimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king, and do for him what is good in your sight.”
38 Ымпэратул а зис: „Кимхам сэ трякэ ымпреунэ ку мине ши вой фаче пентру ел че вей вря; тот че вей дори де ла мине, ыць вой да!”
The king replied, “Chimham will cross over with me, and I will do for him what seems good in your sight, and I will do for you whatever you desire of me.”
39 Дупэ че тот попорул а трекут Йорданул ши дупэ че л-а трекут ши ымпэратул, ымпэратул л-а сэрутат пе Барзилай ши л-а бинекувынтат. Ши Барзилай с-а ынторс акасэ.
So all the people crossed the Jordan, and then the king crossed over. The king kissed Barzillai and blessed him, and Barzillai returned home.
40 Ымпэратул с-а ындрептат спре Гилгал, ынсоцит де Кимхам. Тот попорул луй Иуда ши жумэтате дин попорул луй Исраел петрекусерэ пе ымпэрат динколо де Йордан.
Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham crossed over with him. All the troops of Judah and half the troops of Israel escorted the king.
41 Дар тоць бэрбаций луй Исраел ау венит ла ымпэрат ши й-ау зис: „Пентру че те-ау фурат фраций ноштри, бэрбаций луй Иуда, ши ау трекут пе ымпэрат песте Йордан, ымпреунэ ку каса луй ши ку тоць оамений луй Давид?”
Soon all the men of Israel came to the king and asked, “Why did our brothers, the men of Judah, take you away secretly and bring the king and his household across the Jordan, together with all of David’s men?”
42 Тоць бэрбаций луй Иуда ау рэспунс бэрбацилор луй Исраел: „Фииндкэ ымпэратул не есте рудэ. Ши че аць гэсит аич, ка сэ вэ мынияць? Ам трэит ной пе келтуяла ымпэратулуй? Не-а фэкут ел дарурь?”
And all the men of Judah replied to the men of Israel, “We did this because the king is our relative. Why does this anger you? Have we ever eaten at the king’s expense or received anything for ourselves?”
43 Ши бэрбаций луй Исраел ау рэспунс бэрбацилор луй Иуда: „Ымпэратул есте де зече орь май мулт ал ностру ши кяр ла Давид авем май мулт дрепт декыт вой. Пентру че не-аць несокотит? Н-ам фост ной чей динтый каре ам спус сэ се ынтоаркэ ымпэратул ностру?” Ши бэрбаций луй Иуда ау ворбит ку май мултэ асприме декыт бэрбаций луй Исраел.
“We have ten shares in the king,” answered the men of Israel, “so we have more claim to David than you. Why then do you despise us? Were we not the first to speak of restoring our king?” But the men of Judah pressed even harder than the men of Israel.
