1 Иосафат а адормит ку пэринций сэй ши а фост ынгропат ку пэринций сэй ын четатя луй Давид. Ши, ын локул луй, а домнит фиул сэу Иорам.
Then Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the City of David. And his son, Jehoram, reigned in his place.
2 Иорам авя ка фраць, фий ай луй Иосафат, пе Азария, Иехиел, Захария, Азария, Микаел ши Шефатия, тоць фий ай луй Иосафат, ымпэратул луй Исраел.
And he had brothers, sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah. All these were sons of Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah.
3 Татэл лор ле дэдусе дарурь ынсемнате ын арӂинт, ын аур ши ын лукрурь скумпе, ымпреунэ ку четэць ынтэрите ын Иуда, дар ымпэрэция а лэсат-о луй Иорам, пентру кэ ел ера ынтыюл нэскут.
And their father gave to them many gifts of silver, and gold, and valuables, with very fortified cities in Judah. But the kingdom he handed on to Jehoram, because he was the firstborn.
4 Кынд а луат Иорам ын стэпынире ымпэрэция татэлуй сэу ши кынд с-а ынтэрит, а оморыт ку сабия пе тоць фраций сэй ши пе врео кыцьва дин капий луй Исраел.
Therefore, Jehoram rose up over the kingdom of his father. And when he had established himself, he killed with the sword all his brothers, and certain ones from the leaders of Israel.
5 Иорам авя трейзечь ши дой де ань кынд а ажунс ымпэрат ши а домнит опт ань ла Иерусалим.
Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he had begun to reign. And he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem.
6 Ел а умблат ын каля ымпэрацилор луй Исраел кум фэкусе каса луй Ахаб, кэч авя де невастэ пе о фатэ а луй Ахаб, ши а фэкут че есте рэу ынаинтя Домнулуй.
And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done. For his wife was a daughter of Ahab, and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.
7 Дар Домнул н-а воит сэ пярдэ каса луй Давид, дин причина легэмынтулуй пе каре-л фэкусе ку Давид ши дин причина фэгэдуинцей пе каре о фэкусе кэ ый ва да тотдяуна о луминэ, луй ши фиилор луй.
But the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had formed with him, and because he had promised that he would provide a lamp to him, and to his sons, for all time.
8 Пе время са, Едом с-а рэскулат ымпотрива стэпынирий луй Иуда ши шь-а пус ун ымпэрат.
In those days, Edom rebelled, so as not to be subject to Judah, and they appointed for themselves a king.
9 Иорам а порнит ку кэпетенииле ши ку тоате кареле сале. Скулынду-се ноаптя, а бэтут пе едомиций каре-л ынконжурау ши пе кэпетенииле карелор лор.
And when Jehoram had gone across with his leaders, and all the horsemen who were with him, he arose in the night, and struck the Edomites (who had surrounded him), and all the commanders of his horsemen.
10 Рэскоала луй Едом ымпотрива стэпынирий луй Иуда а цинут пынэ ын зиуа де азь. Ын ачелашь тимп с-а рэскулат ши Либна ымпотрива стэпынирий луй, пентру кэ пэрэсисе пе Домнул Думнезеул пэринцилор сэй.
Even so, Edom rebelled, so as not to be under the authority of Judah, even to this day. Also at that time, Libnah withdrew, so as not to be under his hand. For he had forsaken the Lord, the God of his fathers.
11 Иорам а фэкут кяр ынэлцимь ын мунций луй Иуда. А тырыт пе локуиторий Иерусалимулуй ла курвие ши а амэӂит пе Иуда.
Moreover, he also constructed high places in the cities of Judah. And he caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to fornicate, and Judah to prevaricate.
12 Й-а венит о скрисоаре де ла пророкул Илие, каре зичя: „Аша ворбеште Домнул Думнезеул татэлуй тэу Давид: ‘Пентру кэ н-ай умблат ын кэиле татэлуй тэу Иосафат ши ын кэиле луй Аса, ымпэратул луй Иуда,
Then letters were conveyed to him from the prophet Elijah, in which it was written: “Thus says the Lord, the God of David, your father: Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat, your father, nor in the ways of Asa, the king of Judah,
13 чи ай умблат ын каля ымпэрацилор луй Исраел; пентру кэ ай тырыт ла курвие пе Иуда ши локуиторий Иерусалимулуй, кум а фэкут каса луй Ахаб фацэ де Исраел, ши пентру кэ ай оморыт пе фраций тэй, каре ерау май бунь декыт тине ши каре фэчяу парте дин ынсэшь каса татэлуй тэу,
but instead you have advanced along the paths of the kings of Israel, and you have caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to fornicate, imitating the fornication of the house of Ahab, and moreover, you have killed your brothers, the house of your father, who are better than you:
14 ятэ, Домнул ва лови ку о маре урӂие пе попорул тэу, пе фиий тэй, пе невестеле тале ши тот че есте ал тэу.
behold, the Lord will strike you with a great plague, with all your people, and your sons and wives, and all your substance.
15 Яр пе тине, те ва лови ку о боалэ гря, ку о боалэ де мэрунтае, каре се ва ынгреуя дин зи ын зи, пынэ кынд ыць вор еши мэрунтаеле дин причина тэрией болий.’”
And you shall be sickened by a very grievous disease of your bowels, until your inner organs depart, little by little, each day.”
16 Ши Домнул а ацыцат ымпотрива луй Иорам духул филистенилор ши ал арабилор, каре сунт ын вечинэтатя етиопенилор.
Therefore, the Lord stirred up, against Jehoram, the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, who are along the borders of the Ethiopians.
17 С-ау суит ымпотрива луй Иуда, ау нэвэлит ын ел, ау жефуит тоате богэцииле каре се афлау ын каса ымпэратулуй ши й-ау луат фиий ши невестеле, аша ынкыт ну й-а май рэмас алт фиу декыт Иоахаз, чел май тынэр динтре фиий сэй.
And they ascended into the land of Judah. And they laid waste to it. And they despoiled all the substance that was found in the house of the king, including even his sons and wives. Neither did there remain for him any son, except Jehoahaz, who was the youngest born.
18 Дупэ тоате ачестя, Домнул л-а ловит ку о боалэ де мэрунтае, каре ера фэрэ ляк.
And in addition to all these things, the Lord struck him with an incurable disease of the bowels.
19 Еа с-а ынгреуят дин зи ын зи ши, пе ла сфыршитул анулуй ал дойля, й-ау ешит луй Иорам мэрунтаеле дин причина тэрией болий. А мурит ын дурерь греле. Ши попорул луй н-а арс тэмые ын чинстя луй, кум фэкусе пентру пэринций луй.
And as day followed after day, and the space of time turned, the course of two years was completed. And after having been wasted by a long consumption, so much so that even his inner organs were discharged, the disease ended along with his life. And so he died of a very grievous illness. And the people did not make a funeral for him, according to the custom of burning, as they had done for his ancestors.
20 Авя трейзечь ши дой де ань кынд а ажунс ымпэрат ши а домнит опт ань ла Иерусалим. А мурит фэрэ сэ ласе пэрере де рэу ын урмэ ши л-ау ынгропат ын четатя луй Давид, дар ну ын морминтеле ымпэрацилор.
He was thirty-two years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem. And he did not walk uprightly. And they buried him in the City of David, yet truly, not in the sepulcher of the kings.
