1 Самуел 17
1 Филистений шь-ау стрынс оштиле ка сэ факэ рэзбой ши с-ау адунат ла Соко, о четате а луй Иуда; ау тэбэрыт ынтре Соко ши Азека, ла Ефес-Дамим.
Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle; and they were gathered together at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and encamped between Socoh and Azekah in Ephesdammim.
2 Саул ши бэрбаций луй Исраел с-ау стрынс ши ей; ау тэбэрыт ын Валя Теребинцилор ши с-ау ашезат ын линие де бэтае ымпотрива филистенилор.
Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and encamped in the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.
3 Филистений се ашезасерэ пе ун мунте деопарте, ши Исраел, пе ун мунте де чялалтэ парте: доар валя ый деспэрця.
The Philistines stood on the mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on the mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
4 Атунч а ешит ун ом дин табэра филистенилор ши а ынаинтат ынтре челе доуэ оштирь. Ел се нумя Голиат, ера дин Гат ши авя о ынэлциме де шасе коць ши о палмэ.
A champion out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span went out.
5 Пе кап авя ун койф де арамэ ши пурта ниште зале де солзь ын греутате де чинч мий де сикли де арамэ.
He had a helmet of bronze on his head, and he wore a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze.
6 Авя ниште туретчь де арамэ песте флуереле пичоарелор ши о павэзэ де арамэ ынтре умерь.
He had bronze shin armor on his legs and a bronze javelin between his shoulders.
7 Коада сулицей луй ера ка ун сул де цесут ши ферул сулицей кынтэря шасе суте де сикли де фер. Чел че-й пурта скутул мерӂя ынаинтя луй.
The staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. His shield bearer went before him.
8 Филистянул с-а оприт ши, ворбинд оштилор луй Исраел ашезате ын ширурь де бэтае, ле-а стригат: „Пентру че ешиць сэ вэ ашезаць ын ширурь де бэтае? Ну сунт еу филистян ши ну сунтець вой служиторий луй Саул? Алеӂець ун ом каре сэ се кобоаре ымпотрива мя!
He stood and cried to the armies of Israel, and said to them, “Why have you come out to set your battle in array? Am I not a Philistine, and you servants to Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.
9 Дакэ ва путя сэ се батэ ку мине ши сэ мэ омоаре, ной вом фи робий воштри, дар, дакэ-л вой бируи ши-л вой оморы еу, вой не вець фи робь ноуэ ши не вець служи.”
If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then will we be your servants; but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you will be our servants and serve us.”
10 Филистянул а май зис: „Арунк астэзь о окарэ асупра оштирий луй Исраел! Даци-мь ун ом ка сэ мэ лупт ку ел.”
The Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel today! Give me a man, that we may fight together!”
11 Саул ши тот Исраелул ау аузит ачесте кувинте але филистянулуй ши с-ау ынспэймынтат, ши ау фост куприншь де о маре фрикэ.
When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
12 Ши Давид ера фиул ефратитулуй ачелуя дин Бетлеемул луй Иуда нумит Исай, каре авя опт фий. Пе время луй Саул, ел ера бэтрын, ынаинтат ын вырстэ.
Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons. The man was an elderly old man in the days of Saul.
13 Чей трей фий май марь ай луй Исай урмасерэ пе Саул ла рэзбой; ынтыюл нэскут дин чей трей фий ай луй каре порнисерэ ла рэзбой се нумя Елиаб, ал дойля Абинадаб ши ал трейля Шама.
The three oldest sons of Jesse had gone after Saul to the battle; and the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next to him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.
14 Давид ера чел май тынэр. Ши, кынд чей трей май марь ау урмат пе Саул,
David was the youngest; and the three oldest followed Saul.
15 Давид а плекат де ла Саул ши с-а ынторс ла Бетлеем ка сэ паскэ оиле татэлуй сэу.
Now David went back and forth from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.
16 Филистянул ынаинта диминяца ши сяра ши с-а ынфэцишат астфел тимп де патрузечь де зиле.
The Philistine came near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
17 Исай а зис фиулуй сэу Давид: „Я пентру фраций тэй ефа ачаста де грыу прэжит ши ачесте зече пынь ши аляргэ ын табэрэ, ла фраций тэй;
Jesse said to David his son, “Now take for your brothers an ephah of this parched grain and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the camp to your brothers;
18 ду ши ачесте зече кашурь де брынзэ кэпетенией каре есте песте мия лор. Сэ везь дакэ фраций тэй сунт бине ши сэ-мь адучь вешть темейниче.
and bring these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand; and see how your brothers are doing, and bring back news.”
19 Ей сунт ку Саул ши ку тоць бэрбаций луй Исраел ын Валя Теребинцилор, ын рэзбой ку филистений.”
Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
20 Давид с-а скулат дис-де-диминяцэ. А лэсат оиле ын сяма унуй пазник, шь-а луат лукруриле ши а плекат, кум ый порунчисе Исай. Кынд а ажунс ын табэрэ, оштиря порнисе сэ се ашезе ын ширурь де бэтае ши скотя стригэте де рэзбой.
David rose up early in the morning and left the sheep with a keeper, and took the provisions and went, as Jesse had commanded him. He came to the place of the wagons as the army which was going out to the fight shouted for the battle.
21 Исраел ши филистений с-ау ашезат ын ширурь де бэтае, оштире кэтре оштире.
Israel and the Philistines put the battle in array, army against army.
22 Давид а дат лукруриле пе каре ле авя ын мыниле челуй че пэзя калабалыкуриле ши а алергат ла шируриле де бэтае. Кум а ажунс, а ынтребат пе фраций сэй де сэнэтате.
David left his baggage in the hand of the keeper of the baggage and ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
23 Пе кынд ворбя ку ей, ятэ кэ филистянул дин Гат, нумит Голиат, а ынаинтат ынтре челе доуэ оштирь, ешинд афарэ дин шируриле филистенилор. А ростит ачеляшь кувинте ка май ынаинте, ши Давид ле-а аузит.
As he talked with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, came up out of the ranks of the Philistines, and said the same words; and David heard them.
24 Ла ведеря ачестуй ом, тоць чей дин Исраел ау фуӂит динаинтя луй ши й-а апукат о маре фрикэ.
All the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were terrified.
25 Фиекаре зичя: „Аць вэзут пе омул ачеста ынаинтынд? А ынаинтат ка сэ арунче окара асупра луй Исраел! Дакэ-л ва оморы чинева, ымпэратул ыл ва умпле де богэций, ый ва да де невастэ пе фийкэ-са ши ва скути де дэрь каса татэлуй сэу ын Исраел.”
The men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? He has surely come up to defy Israel. The king will give great riches to the man who kills him, and will give him his daughter, and will make his father’s house tax-free in Israel.”
26 Давид а зис оаменилор де лынгэ ел: „Че се ва фаче ачелуя каре ва оморы пе филистянул ачеста ши ва луа окара де асупра луй Исраел? Чине есте филистянул ачеста, ачест нетэят ымпрежур, ка сэ окэраскэ оштиря Думнезеулуй челуй виу?”
David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done to the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
27 Попорул, спунынд дин ноу ачеляшь лукрурь, й-а зис: „Аша ши аша се ва фаче ачелуя каре-л ва оморы.”
The people answered him in this way, saying, “So shall it be done to the man who kills him.”
28 Елиаб, фрателе луй чел май маре, каре-л аузисе ворбинд ку оамений ачештя, с-а апринс де мыние ымпотрива луй Давид. Ши а зис: „Пентру че те-ай коборыт ту ши куй ай лэсат ачеле пуцине ой ын пустиу? Ыць куноск еу мындрия ши рэутатя инимий. Те-ай коборыт ка сэ везь лупта.”
Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger burned against David, and he said, “Why have you come down? With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the evil of your heart; for you have come down that you might see the battle.”
29 Давид а рэспунс: „Че-ам фэкут оаре? Ну пот сэ ворбеск астфел?”
David said, “What have I now done? Is there not a cause?”
30 Ши с-а ынторс де ла ел ка сэ ворбяскэ ку алтул ши й-а пус ачеляшь ынтребэрь. Попорул й-а рэспунс ка ши ынтыяшь датэ.
He turned away from him toward another, and spoke like that again; and the people answered him again the same way.
31 Кынд с-ау аузит кувинтеле ростите де Давид, ау фост спусе ынаинтя луй Саул, каре а тримис сэ-л кауте.
When the words were heard which David spoke, they rehearsed them before Saul; and he sent for him.
32 Давид а зис луй Саул: „Нимень сэ ну-шь пярдэ нэдеждя дин причина филистянулуй ачестуя! Робул тэу ва мерӂе сэ се батэ ку ел.”
David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
33 Саул а зис луй Давид: „Ну поць сэ те дучь сэ те баць ку филистянул ачеста, кэч ту ешть ун копил, ши ел есте ун ом рэзбойник дин тинереця луй.”
Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
34 Давид а зис луй Саул: „Робул тэу пэштя оиле татэлуй сэу. Ши, кынд ун леу сау ун урс веня сэ-мь я о оае дин турмэ,
David said to Saul, “Your servant was keeping his father’s sheep; and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,
35 алергам дупэ ел, ыл ловям ши-й смулӂям оая дин гурэ. Дакэ се ридика ымпотрива мя, ыл апукам де фалкэ, ыл ловям ши-л оморам.
I went out after him, struck him, and rescued it out of his mouth. When he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, struck him, and killed him.
36 Аша а доборыт робул тэу леул ши урсул, ши ку филистянул ачеста, ку ачест нетэят ымпрежур, ва фи ка ши ку унул дин ей, кэч а окэрыт оштиря Думнезеулуй челуй виу.”
Your servant struck both the lion and the bear. This uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, since he has defied the armies of the living God.”
37 Давид а май зис: „Домнул, каре м-а избэвит дин гяра леулуй ши дин лаба урсулуй, мэ ва избэви ши дин мына ачестуй филистян.” Ши Саул а зис луй Давид: „Ду-те ши Домнул сэ фие ку тине!”
David said, “Yahweh, who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go! Yahweh will be with you.”
38 Саул а ымбрэкат пе Давид ку хайнеле луй, й-а пус пе кап ун койф де арамэ ши л-а ымбрэкат ку о платошэ.
Saul dressed David with his clothing. He put a helmet of bronze on his head, and he clad him with a coat of mail.
39 Давид а ынчинс сабия луй Саул песте хайнеле луй ши а врут сэ мяргэ, кэч ну ынчеркасе ынкэ сэ мяргэ ку еле. Апой а зис луй Саул: „Ну пот сэ мерг ку армэтура ачаста, кэч ну сунт обишнуит ку еа.” Ши с-а дезбрэкат де еа.
David strapped his sword on his clothing and he tried to move, for he had not tested it. David said to Saul, “I can’t go with these, for I have not tested them.” Then David took them off.
40 Шь-а луат тоягул ын мынэ, шь-а алес дин пырыу чинч петре нетеде ши ле-а пус ын трайста луй де пэстор ши ын бузунарул хайней. Апой, ку праштия ын мынэ, а ынаинтат ымпотрива филистянулуй.
He took his staff in his hand, and chose for himself five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag which he had. His sling was in his hand; and he came near to the Philistine.
41 Филистянул с-а апропият пуцин кыте пуцин де Давид ши омул каре-й дучя скутул мерӂя ынаинтя луй.
The Philistine walked and came near to David; and the man who bore the shield went before him.
42 Филистянул с-а уйтат ши, кынд а зэрит пе Давид, а рыс де ел, кэч ну ведя ын ел декыт ун копил ку пэр бэлай ши ку фаца фрумоасэ.
When the Philistine looked around and saw David, he disdained him; for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and had a good looking face.
43 Филистянул а зис луй Давид: „Че, сунт кыне, де вий ла мине ку тоеӂе?” Ши, дупэ че л-а блестемат пе думнезеий луй,
The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” The Philistine cursed David by his gods.
44 а адэугат: „Вино ла мине ши вой да карня та пэсэрилор черулуй ши фярелор кымпулуй.”
The Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and to the animals of the field.”
45 Давид а зис филистянулуй: „Ту вий ымпотрива мя ку сабие, ку сулицэ ши ку павэзэ, яр еу вин ымпотрива та ын Нумеле Домнулуй оштирилор, ын Нумеле Думнезеулуй оштирий луй Исраел, пе каре ай окэрыт-о.
Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin; but I come to you in the name of Yahweh of Armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
46 Астэзь, Домнул те ва да ын мыниле меле, те вой доборы ши-ць вой тэя капул; астэзь вой да стырвуриле таберей филистенилор пэсэрилор черулуй ши фярелор пэмынтулуй. Ши тот пэмынтул ва шти кэ Исраел аре ун Думнезеу.
Today, Yahweh will deliver you into my hand. I will strike you and take your head from off you. I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines today to the birds of the sky and to the wild animals of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,
47 Ши тоатэ мулцимя ачаста ва шти кэ Домнул ну мынтуеште нич прин сабие, нич прин сулицэ. Кэч бируинца есте а Домнулуй. Ши Ел вэ дэ ын мыниле ноастре.”
and that all this assembly may know that Yahweh doesn’t save with sword and spear; for the battle is Yahweh’s, and he will give you into our hand.”
48 Ындатэ че филистянул а порнит сэ мяргэ ынаинтя луй Давид, Давид а алергат пе кымпул де бэтае ынаинтя филистянулуй.
When the Philistine arose, and walked and came near to meet David, David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
49 Шь-а вырыт мына ын трайстэ, а луат о пятрэ ши а арункат-о ку праштия; а ловит пе филистян ын фрунте ши пятра а интрат ын фрунтя филистянулуй, каре а кэзут ку фаца ла пэмынт.
David put his hand in his bag, took a stone and slung it, and struck the Philistine in his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.
50 Астфел, ку о праштие ши ку о пятрэ, Давид а фост май таре декыт филистянул; л-а трынтит ла пэмынт ши л-а оморыт, фэрэ сэ айбэ сабие ын мынэ.
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David’s hand.
51 А алергат, с-а оприт лынгэ филистян, й-а луат сабия, пе каре й-а скос-о дин тякэ, л-а оморыт ши й-а тэят капул. Филистений, кынд ау вэзут кэ уриашул лор а мурит, ау луат-о ла фугэ.
Then David ran, stood over the Philistine, took his sword, drew it out of its sheath, killed him, and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.
52 Ши бэрбаций луй Исраел ши Иуда ау дат киоте ши ау порнит ын урмэриря филистенилор пынэ ын вале ши пынэ ла порциле Екронулуй. Филистений, рэниць де моарте, ау кэзут пе друмул каре дуче ла Шаараим, пынэ ла Гат ши пынэ ла Екрон.
The men of Israel and of Judah arose and shouted, and pursued the Philistines as far as Gai and to the gates of Ekron. The wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even to Gath and to Ekron.
53 Ши копиий луй Исраел с-ау ынторс де ла урмэриря филистенилор ши ле-ау жефуит табэра.
The children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they plundered their camp.
54 Давид а луат капул филистянулуй ши л-а дус ла Иерусалим ши а пус армеле филистянулуй ын кортул сэу.
David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent.
55 Кынд а вэзут Саул пе Давид мергынд ымпотрива филистянулуй, а зис луй Абнер, кэпетения оштирий: „Ал куй фиу есте тынэрул ачеста, Абнер?” Абнер а рэспунс: „Пе суфлетул тэу, ымпэрате, кэ ну штиу.”
When Saul saw David go out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the captain of the army, “Abner, whose son is this youth?” Abner said, “As your soul lives, O king, I can’t tell.”
56 „Ынтрябэ дар ал куй фиу есте тынэрул ачеста”, а зис ымпэратул.
The king said, “Inquire whose son the young man is!”
57 Ши, кынд с-а ынторс Давид дупэ че оморысе пе филистян, Абнер л-а луат ши л-а адус ынаинтя луй Саул. Давид авя ын мынэ капул филистянулуй.
As David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
58 Саул й-а зис: „Ал куй фиу ешть, тинере?” Ши Давид а рэспунс: „Сунт фиул робулуй тэу Исай, Бетлеемитул.”
Saul said to him, “Whose son are you, you young man?” David answered, “I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.”
