1 Самуел 16
1 Домнул а зис луй Самуел: „Кынд вей ынчета сэ плынӂь пе Саул, пентру кэ л-ам лепэдат ка сэ ну май домняскэ песте Исраел? Умпле-ць корнул ку унтделемн ши ду-те; те вой тримите ла Исай, Бетлеемитул, кэч пе унул дин фиий луй Ми л-ам алес ка ымпэрат.”
And Yahweh said unto Samuel—How long, art thou going to pine for Saul, seeing that, I, have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill thy horn with oil, and come! let me send thee unto Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided me, among his sons, a king.
2 Самуел а зис: „Кум сэ мэ дук? Саул аре сэ афле ши мэ ва учиде.” Ши Домнул а зис: „Сэ ей ку тине ун вицел ши сэ зичь: ‘Вин сэ адук о жертфэ Домнулуй.’
And Samuel said, How can I go? As soon as Saul heareth, he will slay me. Then said Yahweh, A heifer, take thou with thee, and say, To sacrifice unto Yahweh, am I come.
3 Сэ пофтешть пе Исай ла жертфэ; Еу ыць вой арэта че требуе сэ фачь ши Ымь вей унӂе пе ачела пе каре-ць вой спуне сэ-л унӂь.”
Then shall thou bid Jesse to the sacrifice, —when, I, will let thee know what thou must do, so shalt thou anoint for me him whom I shall name unto thee.
4 Самуел а фэкут че зисесе Домнул ши с-а дус ла Бетлеем. Бэтрыний четэций ау алергат ынспэймынтаць ынаинтя луй ши ау зис: „Че вестеште вениря та: чева бун?”
And Samuel did that which Yahweh had spoken, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the city came trembling to meet him, and one said—Peaceably, comest thou?
5 Ел а рэспунс: „Да, вин сэ адук о жертфэ Домнулуй. Сфинцици-вэ ши вениць ку мине ла жертфэ.” А сфинцит ши пе Исай ку фиий луй ши й-а пофтит ла жертфэ.
And he said—Peaceably: to sacrifice unto Yahweh, am I come. Hallow yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he hallowed Jesse and his sons, and bade them to the sacrifice.
6 Кынд ау интрат ей, Самуел, вэзынд пе Елиаб, шь-а зис: „Негрешит, унсул Домнулуй есте аич, ынаинтя Луй.”
And it came to pass, when they entered, that he looked upon Eliab, —and said to himself, Surely, before Yahweh, is his Anointed.
7 Ши Домнул а зис луй Самуел: „Ну те уйта ла ынфэцишаря ши ынэлцимя статурий луй, кэч л-ам лепэдат. Домнул ну Се уйтэ ла че се уйтэ омул; омул се уйтэ ла чея че избеште окий, дар Домнул Се уйтэ ла инимэ.”
But Yahweh said unto Samuel—Do not regard his countenance, or the height of his stature, for I have rejected him, —for it is not what man looketh to but what God looketh to. For, man, looketh to the outward appearance, but, Yahweh, looketh to the heart.
8 Исай а кемат пе Абинадаб ши л-а трекут пе динаинтя луй Самуел, ши Самуел а зис: „Нич пе ачеста ну л-а алес Домнул.”
Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel, —and he said, Neither of this one, hath Yahweh made choice.
9 Исай а трекут пе Шама, ши Самуел а зис: „Нич пе ачеста ну л-а алес Домнул.”
Then Jesse made Shammah pass by, —and he said—Nor of this one, hath Yahweh made choice.
10 Ши аша а трекут Исай пе чей шапте фий ай луй пе динаинтя луй Самуел, ши Самуел а зис луй Исай: „Домнул н-а алес пе ничунул дин ей.”
So Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel, —and Samuel said unto Jesse, Yahweh hath not made choice of these.
11 Апой Самуел а зис луй Исай: „Ачештя сунт тоць фиий тэй?” Ши ел а рэспунс: „А май рэмас чел май тынэр, дар паште оиле.” Атунч, Самуел а зис луй Исай: „Тримите сэ-л адукэ, фииндкэ ну вом шедя ла масэ пынэ ну ва вени аич.”
Then said Samuel unto Jesse—Are these all the young men? And he said—There yet remaineth, the youngest, but lo! he is tending the sheep. Then said Samuel unto Jesse—Do, send, and summon him, for we cannot sit round, until he cometh in hither.
12 Исай а тримис сэ-л адукэ. Ши ел ера ку пэр бэлай, ку окь фрумошь ши фацэ фрумоасэ. Домнул а зис луй Самуел: „Скоалэ-те ши унӂе-л, кэч ел есте!”
So he sent, and brought him in. Now, he, was ruddy, a stripling with handsome eyes, and noble mien. Then said Yahweh—Rise—anoint him, for, this, is, he.
13 Самуел а луат корнул ку унтделемн ши л-а унс ын мижлокул фрацилор луй. Духул Домнулуй а венит песте Давид ынчепынд дин зиуа ачея ши ын челе урмэтоаре. Самуел с-а скулат ши с-а дус ла Рама.
And Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren. And the Spirit of Yahweh came mightily upon David, from that day forward. Then arose Samuel, and went his way unto Ramah.
14 Духул Домнулуй С-а депэртат де ла Саул; ши а фост мунчит де ун дух рэу, каре веня де ла Домнул.
But, the spirit of Yahweh, departed from Saul, —and there terrified him a sad spirit, from Yahweh.
15 Служиторий луй Саул й-ау зис: „Ятэ кэ ун дух рэу де ла Думнезеу те мунчеште.
Then said the servants of Saul unto him, —Lo! we pray thee, a sad superhuman spirit, doth terrify thee:
16 Порунчяскэ нумай домнул ностру! Робий тэй сунт ынаинтя та. Ей вор кэута ун ом каре сэ штие сэ кынте ку харпа ши, кынд духул рэу тримис де Думнезеу ва фи песте тине, ел ва кынта ку мына ши вей фи ушурат.”
Pray let our lord bid thy servants before thee, seek out a man, skilled in playing on the lyre, —so shall it be, when a sad superhuman spirit cometh on thee, then shall he play with his hand, and thou shalt be joyful.
17 Саул а рэспунс служиторилор сэй: „Гэсици-мь дар ун ом каре сэ кынте бине ши адучеци-л ла мине.”
And Saul said unto his servants, —I pray you, look out for me a man that excelleth in playing, and bring him in unto me.
18 Унул дин служиторь а луат кувынтул ши а зис: „Ятэ, ам вэзут пе ун фиу ал луй Исай, Бетлеемитул, каре штие сэ кынте; ел есте ши ун ом таре ши войник, ун рэзбойник, ворбеште бине, есте фрумос ла кип ши Домнул есте ку ел.”
Then responded one of the young men and said—Lo! I have seen—a son of Jesse, the Bethlehemite, skilled in playing, and a mighty man of valour, and a man of war, and of intelligent speech, and a handsome man, and, Yahweh, is with him.
19 Саул а тримис ниште оамень ла Исай сэ-й спунэ: „Тримите-мь пе фиул тэу Давид, каре есте ку оиле.”
So Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, —and said, Send, unto me—David thy son, who is with the sheep.
20 Исай а луат ун мэгар, л-а ынкэркат ку пыне, ку ун бурдуф ку вин ши ку ун ед ши а тримис луй Саул ачесте лукрурь, прин фиул сэу Давид.
Then took Jesse an ass laden with bread, and a skin of wine, and one kid, —and sent by the hand of David his son, unto Saul.
21 Давид а ажунс ла Саул ши с-а ынфэцишат ынаинтя луй; й-а плэкут мулт луй Саул ши а фост пус сэ-й поарте армеле.
And David came in unto Saul, —and stood before him, —and he loved him greatly, and he became his armour-bearer.
22 Саул а тримис ворбэ луй Исай, зикынд: „Те рог сэ лашь пе Давид ын служба мя, кэч а кэпэтат тречере ынаинтя мя.”
And Saul sent unto Jesse, saying, —I pray thee, let David stand before me, for he hath found favour in mine eyes.
23 Ши, кынд духул тримис де Думнезеу веня песте Саул, Давид луа харпа ши кынта ку мына луй; Саул рэсуфла атунч май ушор, се симця ушурат ши духул чел рэу плека де ла ел.
And so it used to be, when a superhuman spirit came unto Saul, then would David take the lyre, and play with his hand, —and Saul would be refreshed, and be joyful, and, the sad spirit, would depart from him.
