1 Ера ун ом дин Раматаим-Цофим, дин мунтеле луй Ефраим, нумит Елкана, фиул луй Иерохам, фиул луй Елиху, фиул луй Тоху, фиул луй Цуф, ефратит.
And there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite.
2 Ел авя доуэ невесте: уна се нумя Ана, яр чялалтэ, Пенина. Пенина авя копий, дар Ана н-авя.
And he had two wives: the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah; and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
3 Омул ачеста се суя ын фиекаре ан дин четатя са ла Сило, ка сэ се ынкине ынаинтя Домнулуй оштирилор ши сэ-Й адукэ жертфе. Аколо се афлау чей дой фий ай луй Ели, Хофни ши Финеас, преоць ай Домнулуй.
And this man went up out of his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice to Jehovah of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of Jehovah, were there.
4 Ын зиуа кынд ышь адучя Елкана жертфа, дэдя пэрць невестей сале Пенина, тутурор фиилор ши тутурор фийчелор пе каре ле авя де ла еа.
And it came to pass on the day that Elkanah sacrificed, he gave to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and her daughters portions;
5 Дар Аней ый дэдя о парте ындоитэ, кэч юбя пе Ана. Дар Домнул о фэкусе стярпэ.
but to Hannah he used to give a double portion, for he loved Hannah; but Jehovah had shut up her womb.
6 Потривника ей о ынцепа десеорь, ка с-о факэ сэ се мыние, пентру кэ Домнул о фэкусе стярпэ.
And her adversary provoked her much also, to make her fret, because Jehovah had shut up her womb.
7 Ши ын тоць аний ера аша. Орь де кыте орь се суя Ана ла Каса Домнулуй, Пенина о ынцепа ла фел. Атунч, еа плынӂя ши ну мынка.
And [as] he did so year by year, as often as she went up to the house of Jehovah, she provoked her thus; and she wept and did not eat.
8 Елкана, бэрбатул ей, ый зичя: „Ана, пентру че плынӂь ши ну мэнынчь? Пентру че ць-есте ынтристатэ инима? Оаре ну прецуеск еу пентру тине май мулт декыт зече фий?”
And Elkanah her husband said to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? Am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9 Ана с-а скулат, дупэ че ау мынкат ши ау бэут ей ла Сило. Преотул Ели шедя пе ун скаун, лынгэ унул дин ушорий Темплулуй Домнулуй.
And Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk; (now Eli the priest sat upon the seat by the door-post of the temple of Jehovah; )
10 Ши Ана се руга Домнулуй ку суфлетул амэрыт ши плынӂя.
and she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to Jehovah, and wept much.
11 Еа а фэкут о журуинцэ ши а зис: „Доамне, Думнезеул оштирилор! Дакэ вей биневои сэ кауць спре ынтристаря роабей Тале, дакэ-Ць вей адуче аминте де мине ши ну вей уйта пе роаба Та ши дакэ вей да роабей Тале ун копил де парте бэрбэтяскэ, ыл вой ынкина Домнулуй пентру тоате зилеле веций луй ши бричь ну ва трече песте капул луй.”
And she vowed a vow, and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thy handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thy handmaid, but wilt give unto thy handmaid a man child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
12 Фииндкэ еа стэтя мултэ време ын ругэчуне ынаинтя Домнулуй, Ели се уйта ку бэгаре де сямэ ла гура ей.
And it came to pass as she continued praying before Jehovah, that Eli marked her mouth.
13 Ана ворбя ын инима ей ши нумай бузеле ши ле мишка, дар ну и се аузя гласул. Ели кредя кэ есте бятэ
Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard; and Eli thought she was drunken.
14 ши й-а зис: „Пынэ кынд вей фи бятэ? Ду-те де те трезеште.”
And Eli said to her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.
15 Ана а рэспунс: „Ну, домнул меу, еу сунт о фемее каре суферэ ын инима ей ши н-ам бэут нич вин, нич бэутурэ амецитоаре, чи ымь вэрсам суфлетул ынаинтя Домнулуй.
And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before Jehovah.
16 Сэ ну ей пе роаба та дрепт о фемее стрикатэ, кэч нумай пря мулта мя дурере ши супэраря м-ау фэкут сэ ворбеск пынэ акум.”
Take not thy handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my grief and provocation have I spoken hitherto.
17 Ели а луат дин ноу кувынтул ши а зис: „Ду-те ын паче, ши Думнезеул луй Исраел сэ аскулте ругэчуня пе каре Й-ай фэкут-о!”
And Eli answered and said, Go in peace; and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition which thou hast asked of him.
18 Еа а зис: „Сэ капете роаба та тречере ынаинтя та!” Ши фемея а плекат. А мынкат ши фаца ей н-а май фост ачеяшь.
And she said, Let thy bondwoman find grace in thy sight. And the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more [as before].
19 С-ау скулат дис-де-диминяцэ ши, дупэ че с-ау ынкинат пынэ ла пэмынт ынаинтя Домнулуй, с-ау ынторс ши ау венит акасэ, ла Рама. Елкана с-а кулкат ку невастэ-са Ана, ши Домнул Шь-а адус аминте де еа.
And they rose up early in the morning and worshipped before Jehovah, and returned and came to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and Jehovah remembered her.
20 Кынд и с-ау ымплинит зилеле, Ана а рэмас ынсэрчинатэ ши а нэскут ун фиу, кэруя й-а пус нумеле Самуел, „кэч”, а зис еа, „де ла Домнул л-ам черут”.
And it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, [saying, ] Because I have asked him of Jehovah.
21 Бэрбатул сэу, Елкана, с-а суит апой ку тоатэ каса луй сэ адукэ Домнулуй жертфа де песте ан ши сэ-шь ымплиняскэ журуинца.
And Elkanah her husband, and all his house, went up to sacrifice to Jehovah the yearly sacrifice and his vow.
22 Дар Ана ну с-а суит ши а зис бэрбатулуй ей: „Кынд вой ынцэрка копилул, ыл вой дуче ка сэ фие пус ынаинтя Домнулуй ши сэ рэмынэ аколо пентру тотдяуна.”
But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, [I will wait] until the child is weaned; then will I bring him, that he may appear before Jehovah, and there abide for ever.
23 Елкана, бэрбатул ей, й-а зис: „Фэ че вей креде, аштяптэ пынэ-л вей ынцэрка. Нумай ымплиняскэ-Шь Домнул кувынтул Луй!” Ши фемея а рэмас акасэ ши а дат цыцэ фиулуй ей пынэ л-а ынцэркат.
And Elkanah her husband said to her, Do what is good in thy sight: abide until thou hast weaned him; only, may Jehovah fulfil his word. And the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.
24 Кынд л-а ынцэркат, л-а суит ку еа ши а луат трей таурь, о ефэ де фэинэ ши ун бурдуф ку вин. Л-а дус ын Каса Домнулуй, ла Сило; копилул ера ынкэ мик де тот.
And she took him up with her when she had weaned him, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a flask of wine, and brought him to the house of Jehovah to Shiloh; and the boy was young.
25 Ау ынжунгият таурий ши ау дус копилул ла Ели.
And they slaughtered the bullock, and brought the boy to Eli.
26 Ана а зис: „Домнул меу, яртэ-мэ! Кыт есте де адевэрат кэ суфлетул тэу трэеште, домнул меу, атыт есте де адевэрат кэ еу сунт фемея ачея каре стэтям аич лынгэ тине ши мэ ругам Домнулуй!
And she said, Oh my lord, [as] thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here to pray to Jehovah.
27 Пентру копилул ачеста мэ ругам, ши Домнул а аскултат ругэчуня пе каре Й-о фэчям.
For this boy I prayed; and Jehovah has granted me my petition which I asked of him.
28 Де ачея вряу сэ-л дау Домнулуй: тоатэ вяца луй сэ фие дат Домнулуй.” Ши с-ау ынкинат аколо ынаинтя Домнулуй.
And also I have lent him to Jehovah: all the days that he lives, he is lent to Jehovah. And he worshipped Jehovah there.
