1 Ымпэрацилор 1
1 Ымпэратул Давид ера бэтрын, ынаинтат ын вырстэ; ыл акоперяу ку хайне ши ну се путя ынкэлзи.
King David had grown old and couldn't keep warm in bed however many blankets they used to cover him.
2 Служиторий луй й-ау зис: „Сэ се кауте пентру домнул ымпэратул о фатэ фечоарэ; еа сэ стя ынаинтя ымпэратулуй, сэ-л ынгрижяскэ ши сэ се кулче ла сынул тэу, ши домнул меу ымпэратул се ва ынкэлзи.”
So his officials suggested, “Let a search be made on behalf of Your Majesty for a young virgin to serve you and look after you. She can lie next to you and keep you warm.”
3 Ау кэутат ын тот цинутул луй Исраел о фатэ тынэрэ ши фрумоасэ ши ау гэсит пе Абишаг, Сунамита, пе каре ау адус-о ла ымпэрат.
So they searched the whole country of Israel for a beautiful young woman and found Abishag from the town of Shunem and took her to the king.
4 Ачастэ фатэ ера фоарте фрумоасэ. Еа а ынгрижит пе ымпэрат ши й-а служит, дар ымпэратул ну с-а ымпреунат ку еа.
She was very beautiful, and she looked after the king, attending to his needs, but he did not have sex with her.
5 Адония, фиул Хагитей, с-а сумецит пынэ аколо ынкыт а зис: „Еу вой фи ымпэрат!” Ши шь-а прегэтит каре ши кэлэрець ши чинчзечь де оамень каре алергау ынаинтя луй.
Adonijah, son of Haggith, was busy promoting himself, saying “I'm going to be king!” He arranged chariots and horsemen for himself, and fifty men to run ahead of him.
6 Татэл сэу ну-л мустрасе ничодатэ ын вяца луй зикынд: „Пентру че фачь аша?” Адония, де алтфел, ера фоарте фрумос ла кип ши се нэскусе дупэ Абсалом.
(Never in his life had his father corrected him. He'd never asked him, “Why did you do that?” He was also very good-looking, and had been born after Absalom.)
7 Ел а ворбит ку Иоаб, фиул Церуей, ши ку преотул Абиатар, ши ачештя ау трекут де партя луй.
Adonijah discussed his plan with Joab, son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest, who agreed to support him.
8 Дар преотул Цадок, Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада, пророкул Натан, Шимей, Рей ши витежий луй Давид н-ау фост ку Адония.
But Zadok the priest, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and David's bodyguard were not on Adonijah's side.
9 Адония а тэят ой, бой ши вицей грашь лынгэ пятра луй Зохелет, каре есте лынгэ Ен-Рогуел, ши а пофтит пе тоць фраций луй, фиий ымпэратулуй, ши пе тоць бэрбаций луй Иуда дин служба ымпэратулуй.
Adonijah invited all his brothers, the king's sons, and the king's officials of Judah, to come to the stone of Zoheleth, which is near En-rogel, where he sacrificed sheep, cattle and fattened calves.
10 Дар н-а пофтит пе пророкул Натан, нич пе Беная, нич пе витежь, нич пе фрателе сэу Соломон.
But he didn't invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, David's bodyguard, or his brother Solomon.
11 Атунч, Натан а зис Бат-Шебей, мама луй Соломон: „Н-ай аузит кэ Адония, фиул Хагитей, с-а фэкут ымпэрат фэрэ сэ штие домнул ностру Давид?
Nathan went to Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, and asked her, “Haven't you heard that Adonijah, son of Haggith, has become king, and His Majesty King David doesn't even know?
12 Вино дар акум ши-ць вой да ун сфат, ка сэ-ць скапь вяца та ши вяца фиулуй тэу Соломон.
Let me give you some advice so you can save your life, and that of your son Solomon.
13 Ду-те, интрэ ла ымпэратул Давид ши спуне-й: ‘Ымпэрате, домнул меу, н-ай журат ту роабей тале зикынд: «Фиул тэу Соломон ва ымпэрэци дупэ мине ши ва шедя пе скаунул меу де домние»? Пентру че дар ымпэрэцеште Адония?’
Go immediately to King David and ask him, ‘Didn't Your Majesty swear to me, your servant, saying, Your son Solomon will definitely be king after me and will sit on my throne? So why is Adonijah saying he's king?’
14 Ши, ын тимп че ту вей ворби ку ымпэратул, еу ынсумь вой интра дупэ тине ши-ць вой ынтэри кувинтеле.”
Then I'll come in while you're still there talking with the king and I'll confirm what you're saying.”
15 Бат-Шеба с-а дус ын одая ымпэратулуй. Ел ера фоарте бэтрын; ши Абишаг, Сунамита, ый служя.
So Bathsheba went to see the king in his bedroom. He was very old and Abishag was looking after him.
16 Бат-Шеба с-а плекат ши с-а ынкинат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй. Ши ымпэратул а зис: „Че врей?”
Bathsheba bowed low in respect. He asked her, “What is it that you want?”
17 Еа й-а рэспунс: „Домнул меу, ту ай журат роабей тале пе Домнул Думнезеул тэу, зикынд: ‘Соломон, фиул тэу, ва ымпэрэци дупэ мине ши ва шедя пе скаунул меу де домние.’
She replied, “Your Majesty, you swore to me, your servant, by the Lord your God, ‘Your son Solomon will definitely be king after me and will sit on my throne.’
18 Ши акум, ятэ кэ Адония ымпэрэцеште! Ши ту ну штий, ымпэрате, домнул меу!
But now Adonijah has become king and Your Majesty doesn't even know.
19 Ел а ынжунгият бой, вицей грашь ши ой ын маре нумэр ши а пофтит пе тоць фиий ымпэратулуй, пе преотул Абиатар ши пе Иоаб, кэпетения оштирий, дар пе робул тэу Соломон ну л-а пофтит.
He has sacrificed plenty of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and he has invited all the king's sons, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the army commander. But he didn't invite your servant Solomon.
20 Ымпэрате, домнул меу, тот Исраелул аре окий ындрептаць спре тине, ка сэ-й фачь куноскут чине ва шедя пе скаунул де домние ал ымпэратулуй, домнулуй меу, дупэ ел.
Now, Your Majesty, everyone in Israel is watching to see who you're going to say will be the next king.
21 Ши, кынд ымпэратул, домнул меу, ва фи кулкат ымпреунэ ку пэринций сэй, се ва ынтымпла кэ еу ши фиул меу Соломон вом фи привиць ка ниште виноваць.”
If you don't do anything, as soon as Your Majesty dies, I and my son Solomon will be considered traitors…”
22 Пе кынд ынкэ ворбя еа ку ымпэратул, ятэ кэ а сосит пророкул Натан.
Right then, while she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.
23 Ау дат де штире ымпэратулуй ши ау зис: „Ятэ кэ а венит пророкул Натан!” Ел а интрат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши с-а ынкинат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ку фаца пынэ ла пэмынт.
The king was told, “Nathan the prophet is here.” Nathan went in to see the king. He bowed down with his face to the ground.
24 Ши Натан а зис: „Ымпэрате, домнул меу, оаре ту ай зис: ‘Адония ва ымпэрэци дупэ мине ши ва шедя пе скаунул меу де домние’?
Nathan asked the king, “Your Majesty, you must have announced, ‘Adonijah will be king after me and will sit on my throne.’
25 Кэч ел с-а коборыт астэзь, а тэят бой, вицей грашь ши ой ын маре нумэр ши а пофтит пе тоць фиий ымпэратулуй, пе кэпетенииле оштирий ши пе преотул Абиатар. Ши ей мэнынкэ ши бяу ынаинтя луй ши зик: ‘Трэяскэ ымпэратул Адония!’
For today he has gone and sacrificed many cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and he has invited all the king's sons, the army commanders, and Abiathar the priest. Right now they are eating and drinking with him, shouting, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’
26 Дар ну м-а пофтит нич пе мине, каре сунт робул тэу, нич пе преотул Цадок, нич пе Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада, нич пе робул тэу Соломон.
But he didn't invite me, your servant, or Zadok the priest, or Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, or your son Solomon.
27 Оаре дин порунка домнулуй меу, ымпэратул, аре лок лукрул ачеста ши фэрэ сэ фи фэкут куноскут робулуй тэу чине аре сэ се суе пе скаунул де домние ал ымпэратулуй, домнулуй меу, дупэ ел?”
If Your Majesty did this, you certainly didn't inform your officials as to who is meant to sit on your throne as the next king.”
28 Ымпэратул Давид а рэспунс: „Кемаци-мь пе Бат-Шеба.” Еа а интрат ши с-а ынфэцишат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй.
King David replied, “Call Bathsheba for me.” Bathsheba came in and stood before the king.
29 Ши ымпэратул а журат ши а зис: „Виу есте Домнул, каре м-а избэвит дин тоате неказуриле,
The king swore a vow, saying, “As the Lord lives, who has saved me from all kinds of trouble, just as I swore to you previously by the Lord the God of Israel,
30 кэ, аша кум ам журат пе Домнул Думнезеул луй Исраел, зикынд: ‘Фиул тэу Соломон ва ымпэрэци дупэ мине ши ва шедя пе скаунул меу де домние ын локул меу’, аша вой фаче азь.”
telling you Solomon your son will be the next king and he will sit on my throne instead of me—I swear I will do this today.”
31 Бат-Шеба с-а плекат ку фаца ла пэмынт ши с-а ынкинат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй. Ши а зис: „Трэяскэ пе вечие домнул меу, ымпэратул Давид!”
Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground, honoring the king and said, “May Your Majesty King David live forever.”
32 Ымпэратул Давид а зис: „Кемаци-мь пе преотул Цадок, пе пророкул Натан ши пе Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада.” Ей ау интрат ши с-ау ынфэцишат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй.
Then King David said, “Call for me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, son of Jehoiada.” When they arrived,
33 Ши ымпэратул ле-а зис: „Луаць ку вой пе служиторий стэпынулуй востру, пунець пе фиул меу Соломон кэларе пе катырул меу ши коборыци-л ла Гихон.
the king told them, “Take the king's officials with you, and have them put Solomon on my own mule and lead him down to the Gihon Spring.
34 Аколо, преотул Цадок ши пророкул Натан сэ-л унгэ ымпэрат песте Исраел. Сэ сунаць дин трымбицэ ши сэ зичець: ‘Трэяскэ ымпэратул Соломон!’
There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king of Israel. Blow the trumpet and shout out, ‘Long live King Solomon!’
35 Сэ вэ суиць апой дупэ ел, ка сэ винэ сэ се ашезе пе скаунул меу де домние ши сэ ымпэрэцяскэ ын локул меу. Кэч порунка мя есте ка ел сэ фие кэпетения луй Исраел ши Иуда.”
Then follow him back up, and have him come and sit on my throne. He is to be king instead of me. I am placing him in charge as ruler of Israel and Judah.”
36 Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада, а рэспунс ымпэратулуй: „Амин! Аша сэ вря Домнул Думнезеул домнулуй меу, ымпэратул.
“Amen!” replied Benaiah, son of Jehoiada. “May the Lord, the God of my lord the king, confirm this!
37 Домнул сэ фие ку Соломон кум а фост ку домнул меу, ымпэратул, ка сэ-шь ыналце скаунул де домние май пресус де скаунул де домние ал домнулуй меу, ымпэратул Давид!”
In the same way the Lord was with my lord the king may he be with Solomon, and may he make his reign even greater than the reign of my lord King David.”
38 Атунч, преотул Цадок с-а коборыт ымпреунэ ку пророкул Натан, ку Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада, ку керетиций ши пелетиций; ау пус пе Соломон кэларе пе катырул ымпэратулуй Давид ши л-ау дус ла Гихон.
Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, together with the Cherethites and Pelethites, went and placed Solomon on King David's mule, and led him down to the Gihon Spring.
39 Преотул Цадок а луат корнул ку унтделемн дин корт ши а унс пе Соломон. Ау сунат дин трымбицэ, ши тот попорул а зис: „Трэяскэ ымпэратул Соломон!”
Zadok the priest took the horn containing olive oil from the Tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people shouted, “Long live King Solomon!”
40 Тот попорул с-а суит дупэ ел ши попорул кынта дин флуер ши се десфэта ку маре букурие; се клэтина пэмынтул де стригэтеле лор.
Everyone followed him, playing flutes and celebrating so happily that the sound shook the earth.
41 Звонул ачеста а ажунс пынэ ла Адония ши ла тоць чей пофтиць каре ерау ку ел токмай ын клипа кынд сфыршяу де мынкат. Иоаб, аузинд сунетул трымбицей, а зис: „Че есте ку вуетул ачеста де каре рэсунэ четатя?”
Adonijah and all his guests heard the noise as they were finishing eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he asked, “What's all this noise coming from the city?”
42 Пе кынд ворбя ел ынкэ, а венит Ионатан, фиул преотулуй Абиатар. Ши Адония а зис: „Апропие-те, кэ ешть ун ом витяз ши адучь вешть буне.”
While he was speaking, Jonathan, son of Abiathar the priest, suddenly arrived. “Come on in,” said Adonijah. “A good man like you must be bringing good news.”
43 „Да”, а рэспунс Ионатан луй Адония, „домнул ностру ымпэратул Давид а фэкут ымпэрат пе Соломон.
“Absolutely not!” Jonathan replied. “Our lord King David has made Solomon king!
44 А тримис ку ел пе преотул Цадок, пе пророкул Натан, пе Беная, фиул луй Иехоиада, пе керетиць ши пелетиць ши л-ау пус кэларе пе катырул ымпэратулуй.
He sent Solomon to be anointed with Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites. They had him ride on the king's mule.
45 Преотул Цадок ши пророкул Натан л-ау унс ымпэрат ла Гихон. Де аколо с-ау суит веселинду-се ши четатя а фост пусэ ын мишкаре: ачеста есте вуетул пе каре л-аць аузит.
Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anointed him king at the Gihon Spring. Now they have returned, celebrating with shouts that echo round the city. That's the noise you're hearing.
46 Соломон с-а ши ашезат пе скаунул де домние ал ымпэратулуй.
On top of that, Solomon is sitting on the royal throne,
47 Ши служиторий ымпэратулуй ау венит сэ бинекувынтезе пе домнул ностру ымпэратул Давид, зикынд: ‘Думнезеул тэу сэ факэ нумеле луй Соломон май вестит декыт нумеле тэу ши ел сэ-шь ыналце скаунул де домние май пресус де скаунул тэу де домние!’ Ши ымпэратул с-а ынкинат пе патул сэу.
and the royal officials have also gone to voice their approval to our lord King David, saying, ‘May your God make Solomon's reputation even more famous than your own, and may he make his reign greater than your reign.’ The king on his bed bowed his head,
48 Ятэ че а зис ши ымпэратул: ‘Бинекувынтат сэ фие Домнул Думнезеул луй Исраел, каре мь-а дат астэзь ун урмаш пе скаунул меу де домние ши мь-а ынгэдуит сэ-л вэд!’”
and said, ‘Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! Today he has provided a successor to sit on my throne, and I have been privileged to see it.’”
49 Тоць чей пофтиць де Адония с-ау умплут де спаймэ; с-ау скулат ши ау плекат каре ынкотро.
When all of the guests who were supporting Adonijah heard this they shook with fear. They got up and rushed out in different directions.
50 Адония с-а темут де Соломон; с-а скулат ши ел, а плекат ши с-а апукат де коарнеле алтарулуй.
Adonijah was terrified of Solomon, so he ran off. He went and grabbed hold of the horns of the altar.
51 Ау венит ши ау спус луй Соломон: „Ятэ кэ Адония се теме де ымпэратул Соломон ши с-а апукат де коарнеле алтарулуй зикынд: ‘Сэ-мь журе ымпэратул Соломон азь кэ ну ва оморы пе робул сэу ку сабия!’”
Solomon was told, “Adonijah is terrified of Your Majesty. He has grabbed hold of the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear today that he won't kill me, his servant!’”
52 Соломон а зис: „Дакэ ва фи ом чинстит, ун пэр дин кап ну-й ва кэдя ла пэмынт, дар, дакэ се ва гэси рэутате ын ел, ва мури.”
Solomon replied, “If he is an honorable man, not one hair of his will fall to the ground. But if he shows himself to be evil, he will die.”
53 Ши ымпэратул Соломон а тримис ниште оамень каре л-ау коборыт де пе алтар. Ел а венит ши с-а ынкинат ынаинтя ымпэратулуй Соломон, ши Соломон й-а зис: „Ду-те акасэ.”
King Solomon had Adonijah brought down from the altar, and he came and bowed down before King Solomon, who told him, “Go home.”
