1 Бен-Хадад, ымпэратул Сирией, шь-а стрынс тоатэ оштиря – авя ку ел трейзечь ши дой де ымпэраць, кай ши каре. С-а суит, а ымпресурат Самария ши а ынчепут лупта ымпотрива ей.
And Ben-hadad the king of Syria gathered all his army together. And there were thirty-two kings with him, and horses and chariots. And he went up and besieged Samaria, and fought against it.
2 А тримис ын четате соль ла Ахаб, ымпэратул луй Исраел, сэ-й спунэ: „Аша ворбеште Бен-Хадад:
And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel, into the city, and said to him, Thus says Ben-hadad,
3 ‘Арӂинтул ши аурул тэу сунт але меле, невестеле ши чей май фрумошь копий ай тэй сунт тот ай мей.’”
Thy silver and thy gold is mine, thy wives also and thy sons, even the best, are mine.
4 Ымпэратул луй Исраел а рэспунс: „Ымпэрате, домнул меу, фие кум зичь! Сунт ал тэу ку тот че ам.”
And the king of Israel answered and said, It is according to thy saying, my lord, O king, I am thine, and all that I have.
5 Солий с-ау ынторс ши ау зис: „Аша ворбеште Бен-Хадад: ‘Ам тримис сэ-ць спунэ: «Сэ-мь дай арӂинтул ши аурул тэу, невестеле ши копиий тэй.»
And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaks Ben-hadad, saying, I indeed sent to thee, saying, Thou shall deliver to me thy silver, and thy gold, and thy wives, and thy sons.
6 Де ачея, вой тримите мыне, ла часул ачеста, пе служиторий мей ла тине. Ей ыць вор скормони каса та ши каселе служиторилор тэй, вор пуне мына пе тот че ай май скумп ши вор луа.’”
But I will send my servants to thee tomorrow about this time, and they shall search thy house, and the houses of thy servants. And it shall be, that whatever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.
7 Ымпэратул луй Исраел а кемат пе тоць бэтрыний цэрий ши а зис: „Ведець бине ши ынцелеӂець кэ омул ачеста не вря рэул, кэч а тримис сэ-мь чарэ невестеле ши копиий, арӂинтул ши аурул, ши н-ам зис кэ ну и ле дау!”
Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeks mischief, for he sent to me for my wives, and for my sons, and for my silver, and for my gold, and I did not deny him.
8 Тоць бэтрыний ши тот попорул ау зис луй Ахаб: „Ну-л аскулта ши ну те ынвои.”
And all the elders and all the people said to him, Do thou not hearken, nor consent.
9 Ши ел а зис солилор луй Бен-Хадад: „Спунець домнулуй меу, ымпэратул: ‘Вой фаче тот че ай тримис сэ черь робулуй тэу ынтыя датэ, дар лукрул ачеста ну-л пот фаче.’” Солий ау плекат ши й-ау дус рэспунсул.
Therefore he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou sent for to thy servant at the first I will do, but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.
10 Бен-Хадад а тримис сэ спунэ луй Ахаб: „Сэ мэ педепсяскэ зеий ку тоатэ аспримя лор де ва ажунӂе прафул Самарией сэ умпле мына ынтрегулуй попор каре мэ урмязэ!”
And Ben-hadad sent to him, and said, The gods do so to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.
11 Ши ымпэратул луй Исраел а рэспунс: „Чине ынчинӂе армеле сэ ну се лауде ка чел че ле пуне жос!”
And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him who girds on his armor boast himself as he who puts it off.
12 Кынд а примит Бен-Хадад рэспунсул ачеста, стэтя ла бэут ку ымпэраций ын кортурь ши а зис служиторилор луй: „Прегэтици-вэ!” Ши ей с-ау прегэтит де нэвалэ ымпотрива четэций.
And it came to pass, when Ben-hadad heard this message as he was drinking, he and the kings, in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.
13 Дар ятэ кэ ун пророк с-а апропият де Ахаб, ымпэратул луй Исраел, ши а зис: „Аша ворбеште Домнул: ‘Везь тоатэ ачастэ мулциме маре? О вой да астэзь ын мыниле тале, ка сэ куношть кэ Еу сунт Домнул.’”
And, behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said, Thus says Jehovah, Have thou seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into thy hand this day, and thou shall know that I am Jehovah.
14 Ахаб а зис: „Прин чине?” Ши ел а рэспунс: „Аша ворбеште Домнул: ‘Прин служиторий май-марилор песте цинутурь.’” Ахаб а зис: „Чине ва ынчепе лупта?” Ши ел а рэспунс: „Ту.”
And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus says Jehovah, By the young men of the rulers of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall begin the battle? And he answered, Thou.
15 Атунч, Ахаб а нумэрат служиторий май-марилор песте цинутурь ши с-ау гэсит доуэ суте трейзечь ши дой ши, дупэ ей, а нумэрат тот попорул, пе тоць копиий луй Исраел, ши ерау шапте мий.
Then he mustered the young men of the rulers of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty-two. And after them he mustered all the people, even all the sons of Israel, being seven thousand.
16 Ау фэкут о ешире пе ла мязэзи. Бен-Хадад бя ши се ымбэта ын кортуриле луй ку чей трейзечь ши дой де ымпэраць каре-л ажутау.
And they went out at noon. But Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty-two kings who helped him.
17 Служиторий май-марилор песте цинутурь ау ешит чей динтый. Бен-Хадад а черчетат ши й-ау спус астфел: „Ау ешит ниште оамень дин Самария.”
And the young men of the rulers of the provinces went out first. And Ben-hadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out from Samaria.
18 Ел а зис: „Дакэ ес пентру паче, приндеци-й вий ши, кяр дакэ ес пентру луптэ, приндеци-й вий.”
And he said, Whether they come out for peace, take them alive, or whether they come out for war, take them alive.
19 Кынд ау ешит дин четате, служиторий май-марилор песте цинутурь ши армата каре-й урма
So these went out of the city, the young men of the rulers of the provinces, and the army which followed them.
20 а ловит фиекаре пе омул динаинтя луй, ши сириений ау луат-о ла фугэ. Исраел й-а урмэрит. Бен-Хадад, ымпэратул Сирией, а скэпат пе ун кал, ку ниште кэлэрець.
And they killed everyone his man. And the Syrians fled, and Israel pursued them. And Ben-hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with horsemen.
21 Ымпэратул луй Исраел а ешит, а ловит каий ши кареле ши а причинуит сириенилор о маре ынфрынӂере.
And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and killed the Syrians with a great slaughter.
22 Атунч, пророкул с-а апропият де ымпэратул луй Исраел ши й-а зис: „Ду-те, ынтэреште-те, черчетязэ ши везь че ай де фэкут, кэч, ла анул, ымпэратул Сирией се ва суи дин ноу ымпотрива та.”
And the prophet came near to the king of Israel, and said to him, Go, strengthen thyself. And mark, and see what thou do, for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.
23 Служиторий ымпэратулуй Сирией й-ау зис: „Думнезеул лор есте ун думнезеу ал мунцилор, де ачея ау фост май тарь декыт ной. Дар я сэ не луптэм ку ей ын кымпие ши се ва ведя дакэ ну вом фи май тарь декыт ей.
And the servants of the king of Syria said to him, Their god is a god of the hills, therefore they were stronger than we. But let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
24 Фэ ши лукрул ачеста: скоате пе фиекаре дин ымпэраць де ла локул луй ши ынлокуеште-й ку кэпетений
And do this thing: Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their place.
25 ши фэ-ць о арматэ ка ачея пе каре ай пердут-о, ку тот атыця кай ши тот атытя каре. Апой сэ не батем ку ей ын кымпие ши се ва ведя дакэ ну вом фи май тарь декыт ей.” Ел й-а аскултат ши а фэкут аша.
And number thee an army, like the army that thou have lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot. And we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened to their voice, and did so.
26 Ын анул урмэтор, Бен-Хадад а нумэрат пе сириень ши с-а суит ла Афек сэ лупте ымпотрива луй Исраел.
And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Ben-hadad mustered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek to fight against Israel.
27 Копиий луй Исраел ау фост нумэраць ши ей; ау примит меринде ши ау ешит ын ынтымпинаря сириенилор. Ау тэбэрыт ын фаца лор ка доуэ турме мичь де капре, пе кынд сириений умпляу цара.
And the sons of Israel were mustered, and were supported, and went against them. And the sons of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of kids, but the Syrians filled the country.
28 Омул луй Думнезеу с-а апропият ши а зис ымпэратулуй луй Исраел: „Аша ворбеште Домнул: ‘Пентру кэ сириений ау зис: «Домнул есте ун думнезеу ал мунцилор, ши ну ун думнезеу ал вэилор», вой да тоатэ ачастэ маре мулциме ын мыниле тале ши вець шти кэ Еу сунт Домнул.’”
And a man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, Thus says Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys, therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
29 Ау стат тэбэрыць шапте зиле уний ын фаца алтора. Ын зиуа а шаптя, ау ынчепут лупта ши копиий луй Исраел ау оморыт сириенилор о сутэ де мий де оамень педестрашь, ынтр-о зи.
And they encamped one opposite the other seven days. And so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined. And the sons of Israel killed of the Syrians a hundred thousand footmen in one day.
30 Чейлалць ау фуӂит ын четатя Афек ши а кэзут зидул четэций песте доуэзечь ши шапте де мий де оамень каре май рэмэсесерэ. Бен-Хадад фуӂисе ши ел ын четате ши умбла дин одае ын одае.
But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city, and the wall fell upon twenty-seven thousand men who were left. And Ben-hadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.
31 Служиторий луй й-ау зис: „Ятэ, ам аузит кэ ымпэраций касей луй Исраел сунт ниште ымпэраць милошь: сэ не ынчинӂем деч коапселе ку сачь, сэ не пунем фуний пе капетеле ноастре ши сэ ешим ла ымпэратул луй Исраел – поате кэ те ва лэса ку вяцэ.”
And his servants said to him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings. Let us, we pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel. Perhaps he will save thy life.
32 Шь-ау пус сачь ымпрежурул коапселор ши фуний ымпрежурул капулуй, с-ау дус ла ымпэратул луй Исраел ши ау зис: „Робул тэу Бен-Хадад а зис: ‘Ласэ-мэ ку вяцэ!’” Ахаб а рэспунс: „Май есте ынкэ ын вяцэ? Есте фрателе меу!”
So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Ben-hadad says, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? He is my brother.
33 Оамений ачештя ау луат лукрул ачеста ка ун семн бун ши с-ау грэбит сэ-л я пе кувынт ши сэ зикэ: „Бен-Хадад есте фрателе тэу!” Ши ел а зис: „Дучеци-вэ ши адучеци-л!” Бен-Хадад а венит ла ел ши Ахаб л-а суит ын карул луй.
Now the men observed diligently whether anything would come from him. And they quickly caught it, and they said, Thy brother Ben-hadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Ben-hadad came forth to him, and he caused him to come up into the chariot.
34 Бен-Хадад й-а зис: „Ыць вой да ынапой четэциле пе каре ле-а луат татэл меу де ла татэл тэу ши-ць вей фаче улице ын Дамаск, кум фэкусе татэл меу ын Самария.” „Ши еу”, а рэспунс Ахаб, „ыць вой да друмул, фэкынд ун легэмынт.” А фэкут легэмынт ку ел ши й-а дат друмул.
And Ben-hadad said to him, The cities which my father took from thy father I will restore, and thou shall make streets for thee in Damascus as my father made in Samaria. And I, said Ahab, will let thee go with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and let him go.
35 Унул дин фиий пророчилор а зис товарэшулуй сэу, дупэ порунка Домнулуй: „Ловеште-мэ, те рог!” Дар омул ачела н-а врут сэ-л ловяскэ.
And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said by the word of Jehovah to his fellow, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.
36 Атунч, ел й-а зис: „Пентру кэ н-ай аскултат де гласул Домнулуй, ятэ, кынд вей плека де ла мине, те ва оморы ун леу.” Ши, кынд а плекат де ла ел, л-а ынтылнит ун леу ши л-а оморыт.
Then said he to him, Because thou have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah, behold, as soon as thou are departed from me, a lion shall kill thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and killed him.
37 А гэсит пе ун алт ом ши а зис: „Ловеште-мэ, те рог!” Омул ачела л-а ловит ши л-а рэнит.
Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, smiting and wounding him.
38 Пророкул с-а дус ши с-а ашезат пе друмул ымпэратулуй ши с-а легат ла окь.
So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with his headband over his eyes.
39 Кынд а трекут ымпэратул, пророкул а стригат ши й-а зис: „Робул тэу ера ын мижлокул луптей ши ятэ кэ ун ом се апропие ши-мь адуче пе ун алт ом, зикынд: ‘Пэзеште пе омул ачеста; дакэ ва фуӂи, вяца та ва рэспунде пентру вяца луй сау вей плэти ун талант де арӂинт!’
And as the king passed by, he cried out to the king, and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle, and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me, and said, Keep this man. If by any means he is missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shall pay a talent of silver.
40 Ши, пе кынд робул тэу фэчя кыте чева ынкоаче ши ынколо, омул с-а фэкут невэзут.” Ымпэратул луй Исраел й-а зис: „Ачаста ыць есте осында; ту ынсуць ай ростит-о.”
And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said to him, So shall thy judgment be, thyself have decided it.
41 Ындатэ, пророкул шь-а скос легэтура де ла окь, ши ымпэратул луй Исраел л-а куноскут кэ фэчя парте дин пророчь.
And he hastened, and took the headband away from his eyes, and the king of Israel discerned him that he was of the prophets.
42 Ел а зис атунч ымпэратулуй: „Аша ворбеште Домнул: ‘Пентру кэ ай лэсат сэ-ць скапе дин мынь омул пе каре-л сортисем нимичирий, вяца та ва рэспунде пентру вяца луй ши попорул тэу, пентру попорул луй.’”
And he said to him, Thus says Jehovah, Because thou have let go out of thy hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.
43 Ымпэратул луй Исраел с-а дус акасэ трист ши мыниос ши а ажунс ла Самария.
And the king of Israel went to his house heavy and displeased, and came to Samaria.
