1 Давид а цинут сфат ку кэпетенииле песте мий ши песте суте, ку тоць май-марий.
Then David took counsel with the tribunes, and the centurions, and all the leaders.
2 Ши Давид а зис ынтреӂий адунэрь а луй Исраел: „Дакэ гэсиць ку кале ши дакэ лукрул ачеста вине де ла Домнул Думнезеул ностру, сэ тримитем ын тоате пэрциле ла фраций ноштри каре ау рэмас ын тоате цинутуриле луй Исраел ши ла преоць ши левиць ын четэциле ши ымпрежуримиле лор, ка сэ се стрынгэ ла ной
And he said to the entire assembly of Israel: “If it pleases you, and if the words that I speak come from the Lord our God, let us send to the remainder of our brothers, in all the regions of Israel, and to the priests and Levites who live in the suburbs of the cities, so that they may gather to us.
3 ши сэ адучем ла ной кивотул Думнезеулуй ностру, кэч ну не-ам май ынгрижит де ел де пе время луй Саул.”
And let us bring back the ark of our God to us. For we did not seek it during the days of Saul.”
4 Тоатэ адунаря а хотэрыт сэ факэ аша, кэч лукрул ачеста а пэрут бун ынтрегулуй попор.
And the entire multitude responded that it should be done. For the word had pleased all the people.
5 Давид а стрынс пе тот Исраелул, де ла Шилхор, ын Еӂипт, пынэ ла интраря Хаматулуй, ка сэ адукэ дин Кириат-Иеарим кивотул луй Думнезеу.
Therefore, David gathered all of Israel, from Shihor of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, so as to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
6 Ши Давид, ымпреунэ ку тот Исраелул, с-а суит ла Баала, ла Кириат-Иеарим, каре есте ал луй Иуда, ка сэ ридиче де аколо кивотул луй Думнезеу, ынаинтя кэруя есте кемат Нумеле Домнулуй каре шаде ынтре херувимь.
And David ascended with all the men of Israel to the hill of Kiriath-jearim, which is in Judah, so that he might bring from there the ark of the Lord God, sitting upon the Cherubim, where his name is invoked.
7 Ау пус ынтр-ун кар ноу кивотул луй Думнезеу, пе каре л-ау луат дин каса луй Абинадаб. Уза ши Ахио кырмуяу карул.
And they placed the ark of God upon a new cart from the house of Abinadab. Then Uzzah and his brother drove the cart.
8 Давид ши тот Исраелул жукау ынаинтя луй Думнезеу ку тоатэ путеря лор, кынтынд ши зикынд дин харпе, дин лэуте, дин тобе, дин кимвале ши дин трымбице.
Now David and all of Israel were playing before God, with all of their ability, in songs, and with harps, and psalteries, and timbrels, and cymbals, and trumpets.
9 Кынд ау ажунс ла ария луй Кидон, Уза а ынтинс мына сэ апуче кивотул, пентру кэ боий ерау сэ-л рэстоарне.
And when they had arrived at the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah reached out his hand, so that he might support the ark. For indeed, the ox being wanton had caused it to incline a little.
10 Домнул С-а апринс де мыние ымпотрива луй Уза ши Домнул л-а ловит пентру кэ ынтинсесе мына пе кивот. Уза а мурит аколо ынаинтя луй Думнезеу.
And so the Lord became angry against Uzzah. And he struck him down because he had touched the ark. And he died there before the Lord.
11 Давид с-а мыният кэ Домнул фэкусе о спэртурэ ловинд пе Уза ку о асеменя педяпсэ. Де ачея, локул ачеста а фост нумит пынэ ын зиуа де азь Перец-Уза.
And David was greatly saddened because the Lord had divided Uzzah. And he called that place ‘the Division of Uzzah,’ even to the present day.
12 Давид с-а темут де Думнезеу ын зиуа ачея ши а зис: „Кум сэ адук кивотул луй Думнезеу ла мине?”
And then he feared God, at that time, saying: “How will I be able to bring in the ark of God to myself?”
13 Давид н-а трас кивотул ла ел, ын четатя луй Давид, чи л-а дус ын каса луй Обед-Едом дин Гат.
And for this reason, he did not bring it to himself, that is, into the City of David. Instead, he turned aside to the house of Obededom, the Gittite.
14 Кивотул луй Думнезеу а рэмас трей лунь ла фамилия луй Обед-Едом, ын каса луй. Ши Домнул а бинекувынтат каса луй Обед-Едом ши тот че ера ал луй.
Therefore, the ark of God dwelt in the house of Obededom for three months. And the Lord blessed his house and all that he had.
