Zaharia 7
1 Şi s-a întâmplat că, în anul al patrulea al împăratului Darius, cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la Zaharia, în ziua a patra a lunii a noua, în luna Chislev,
In the fourth year of King Darius, Yahweh’s word came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2 Când ei trimiseseră la casa lui Dumnezeu pe Şareţer şi pe Reghem-Melec şi pe oamenii lor, pentru a se ruga înaintea DOMNULUI;
The people of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech and their men to entreat Yahweh’s favor,
3 Şi să vorbească preoţilor, care erau în casa DOMNULUI oştirilor, şi profeţilor, spunând: Să plâng în luna a cincea, punându-mă deoparte, precum am făcut aceşti atât de mulţi ani?
and to speak to the priests of the house of Yahweh of Armies and to the prophets, saying, “Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”
4 Atunci cuvântul DOMNULUI oştirilor a venit la mine, spunând:
Then the word of Yahweh of Armies came to me, saying,
5 Vorbeşte întregului popor al ţării şi preoţilor, spunând: Când aţi postit şi aţi jelit în luna a cincea şi în luna a şaptea, în aceşti şaptezeci de ani, cu adevărat aţi postit pentru mine, chiar pentru mine?
“Speak to all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh month for these seventy years, did you at all fast to me, really to me?
6 Şi când aţi mâncat şi aţi băut, nu aţi mâncat şi nu aţi băut pentru voi înşivă?
When you eat and when you drink, don’t you eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?
7 Nu trebuia să auziţi cuvintele pe care DOMNUL le-a strigat prin profeţii dinainte, când Ierusalimul era locuit şi în prosperitate, şi cetăţile lui de jur împrejurul lui, când oamenii locuiau partea de sud şi câmpia?
Aren’t these the words which Yahweh proclaimed by the former prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’”
8 Şi cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la Zaharia, spunând:
Yahweh’s word came to Zechariah, saying,
9 Astfel vorbeşte DOMNUL oştirilor, spunând: Faceţi judecată adevărată şi arătaţi milă şi mângâieri, fiecare om fratelui său;
“Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.
10 Şi nu oprimaţi nici pe văduvă, nici pe cel fără tată, nici pe străin, nici pe cel sărac; şi nimeni dintre voi să nu îşi închipuie răul în inima sa, împotriva fratelui său.
Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’
11 Dar ei au refuzat să dea ascultare şi şi-au tras umărul şi şi-au astupat urechile, ca să nu audă.
But they refused to listen, and turned their backs, and stopped their ears, that they might not hear.
12 Da, şi-au făcut inima ca o piatră de diamant, ca nu cumva să asculte legea şi cuvintele pe care DOMNUL oştirilor le-a trimis în duhul său, prin profeţii dinainte; de aceea a venit o mare furie de la DOMNUL oştirilor.
Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law and the words which Yahweh of Armies had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from Yahweh of Armies.
13 De aceea s-a întâmplat că, pe când el striga totuşi ei au refuzat să audă; tot astfel, ei au strigat şi eu am refuzat să aud, spune DOMNUL oştirilor;
It has come to pass that, as he called and they refused to listen, so they will call and I will not listen,” said Yahweh of Armies;
14 Ci i-am împrăştiat cu un vârtej de vânt printre toate naţiunile pe care nu le cunoşteau. Astfel ţara a fost pustie după ei, încât nimeni nu trecea prin ea, nici nu se întorcea din ea; fiindcă ei au pustiit ţara cea plăcută.
“but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned; for they made the pleasant land desolate.”
