Zaharia 3

1 Şi el mi l-a arătat pe Iosua, marele preot, stând în picioare înaintea îngerului DOMNULUI şi pe Satan stând în picioare la dreapta lui, pentru a i se împotrivi.

Then he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the messenger of the Lord and the Adversary standing at his right hand to accuse him.

2 Şi DOMNUL i-a spus lui Satan: DOMNUL să te mustre, Satan! Chiar DOMNUL, care a ales Ierusalimul, să te mustre! Nu este acesta un semn de înfierare smuls din foc?

And the messenger of the Lord said to the Adversary, “May the Lord rebuke you, Adversary! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?”

3 Şi Iosua era îmbrăcat cu haine murdare şi stătea în picioare înaintea îngerului.

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the messenger.

4 Şi îngerul a răspuns şi a vorbit celor care stăteau în picioare înaintea lui, spunând: Luaţi de pe el hainele murdare. Şi lui i-a spus: Iată, am făcut ca nelegiuirea ta să treacă de la tine şi cu un rând de haine te voi îmbrăca.

The messenger said to those who stood before him, “Take off his filthy garments.” Then to Joshua he said, “I have taken your guilt from you and I will clothe you in priestly robes.”

5 Iar eu am spus: Să-i pună o mitră frumoasă pe cap. Astfel ei i-au pus o mitră frumoasă pe cap şi l-au îmbrăcat cu haine. Şi îngerul DOMNULUI stătea de faţă.

And he ordered: “Set a clean turban upon his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him with garments. The messenger of the Lord was standing by.

6 Şi îngerul DOMNULUI l-a avertizat pe Iosua, spunând:

And the messenger of the Lord testified to Joshua:

7 Astfel spune DOMNUL oştirilor: Dacă vei umbla în căile mele şi dacă vei păzi însărcinarea mea, atunci tu vei judeca de asemenea casa mea şi de asemenea vei păzi curţile mele şi îţi voi da locuri să umbli între aceştia care stau de faţă.

The Lord of hosts says: “If you walk in my ways, and if you will keep my instructions, then you will rule my house and keep my courts and I will give you a place of access among these that stand by.

8 Ascultă Iosua, mare preot, tu şi tovarăşii tăi care şed înaintea ta, pentru că ei sunt oameni admiraţi; căci, iată, eu voi aduce pe servitorul meu, LĂSTARUL.

Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your associates who sit before me; for they are men who are a sign; for I am going to bring forth my servant the Branch.

9 Căci, iată, piatra pe care am pus-o înaintea lui Iosua: pe o singură piatră vor fi şapte ochi; iată, eu voi grava inscripţia ei, spune DOMNUL oştirilor, şi voi îndepărta nelegiuirea acestei ţări într-o singură zi.

On the stone that I have set before Joshua, on one stone, are seven facets. I will engrave it,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will remove the guilt of that land in one day.

10 În acea zi, spune DOMNUL oştirilor, veţi chema, fiecare pe aproapele său sub viţă şi sub smochin.

On that day,” says the Lord of hosts, “you will each invite your neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.”
