Zaharia 2
1 Mi-am ridicat ochii din nou şi am privit şi iată, un om cu o frânghie de măsurat în mâna lui.
And I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 Atunci am spus: Unde mergi? Şi el mi-a zis: Să măsor Ierusalimul, să văd care este lăţimea lui şi care este lungimea lui.
And I said, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
3 Şi, iată, îngerul care vorbea cu mine a ieşit şi un alt înger a ieşit să îl întâlnească,
And behold, the angel that talked with me went forth; and another angel went forth to meet him,
4 Şi i-a zis: Aleargă, vorbeşte acestui tânăr, spunând: Ierusalimul va fi locuit ca oraşe fără ziduri, din cauza mulţimii oamenilor şi a vitelor din el;
and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein;
5 Fiindcă eu, spune DOMNUL, îi voi fi un zid de foc de jur împrejur şi voi fi glorie în mijlocul lui.
and I, saith Jehovah, I will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6 Hei, hei! ieşiţi şi fugiţi din ţara nordului, spune DOMNUL, pentru că v-am împrăştiat ca pe cele patru vânturi ale cerului, spune DOMNUL.
Ho, ho! flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have scattered you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah.
7 Eliberează-te, Sioane, care locuieşti cu fiica Babilonului!
Ho! escape, Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
8 Pentru că astfel spune DOMNUL oştirilor: După glorie m-a trimis el la naţiunile care v-au prădat, pentru că cine se atinge de voi se atinge de lumina ochiului său.
For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After the glory, hath he sent me unto the nations that made you a spoil; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9 Pentru că, iată, eu îmi voi scutura mâna peste ele şi vor ajunge o pradă servitorilor lor; şi veţi cunoaşte că DOMNUL oştirilor m-a trimis.
For behold, I will shake my hand upon them, and they shall become a spoil to those that served them: and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me.
10 Cântă şi bucură-te, fiică a Sionului, pentru că, iată, eu vin şi voi locui în mijlocul tău, spune DOMNUL.
Sing aloud and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah.
11 Şi multe naţiuni se vor alătura DOMNULUI în acea zi şi vor fi poporul meu; şi eu voi locui în mijlocul tău şi vei cunoaşte că DOMNUL oştirilor m-a trimis la tine.
And many nations shall join themselves to Jehovah in that day, and shall be unto me for a people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
12 Şi DOMNUL va moşteni pe Iuda, partea lui în ţara sfântă; şi din nou va alege Ierusalimul.
And Jehovah shall inherit Judah [as] his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
13 Să tacă toată făptura înaintea DOMNULUI, pentru că el s-a ridicat din locuinţa lui sfântă.
Let all flesh be silent before Jehovah; for he is risen up out of his holy habitation.
