Zaharia 10
1 Cereţi de la DOMNUL ploaie la timpul ploii târzii; astfel DOMNUL va face nori strălucitori şi le va da averse de ploaie, la fiecare om verdeaţă în câmp.
Ask from the Lord rain, at the time of spring rain, from the Lord who forms the storm clouds, and the showers of rain he gives to you, and green in the field.
2 Pentru că idolii au vorbit deşertăciune şi ghicitorii au văzut o minciună şi au istorisit vise false; ei mângâie în deşert; de aceea ei au mers pe calea lor ca o turmă, s-au tulburat pentru că nu era păstor.
But the household gods speak nonsense, and the diviners see lies, and relate idle dreams. In vain they offer comfort, so the people wander like sheep, They suffer because there is no shepherd.
3 Mânia mea s-a aprins împotriva păstorilor şi am pedepsit ţapii, pentru că DOMNUL oştirilor a cercetat turma sa, casa lui Iuda, şi i-a făcut ca pe calul său ales în luptă.
My wrath is hot against the shepherds, and on the leaders will I bring punishment. For the Lord cares for his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them his splendid war steeds.
4 Din el a ieşit colţul, din el cuiul, din el arcul de bătălie, din el fiecare opresor laolaltă.
From Judah will come the cornerstone and the stay, from them the battle bow, from them goes forth every commander.
5 Şi ei vor fi ca războinici care calcă pe duşmanii lor, în noroiul străzilor, în bătălie; şi vor lupta, pentru că DOMNUL este cu ei şi cei călare pe cai vor fi încurcaţi.
Together they will trample on warriors, as on the dirt of the streets in battle. They fight, for the Lord is with them, putting the riders on horses to shame.
6 Şi voi întări casa lui Iuda şi voi salva casa lui Iosif, şi îi voi aduce pentru a-i pune înapoi, pentru că am milă de ei; şi vor fi ca şi cum nu i-aş fi lepădat, pentru că eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul lor şi îi voi auzi.
I will make strong the house of Judah, I will bring deliverance to the house of Joseph, I will bring them back for I have compassion on them, they will be as if I had not driven them away. For I am the Lord their God and will answer them.
7 Şi cei din Efraim vor fi ca un războinic; şi inima lor se va bucura ca de vin; da, copiii lor vor vedea aceasta şi se vor veseli; inima lor se va bucura în DOMNUL.
The Ephraimites will be like warriors, their hearts will rejoice as with wine, their children will see and rejoice. Their hearts will exult in the Lord.
8 Eu voi şuiera după ei şi îi voi aduna, pentru că i-am răscumpărat; şi se vor înmulţi precum se înmulţeau înainte.
I will whistle for them, and gather them, and they will be as many as they once were.
9 Şi îi voi semăna printre popoare, iar ei îşi vor aminti de mine în ţări îndepărtate; şi vor trăi, ei şi copiii lor, şi se vor întoarce din nou.
I will sow them among the peoples, but in distant lands they will remember me, and they will bring up their children and come back.
10 De asemenea îi voi aduce din nou din ţara Egiptului şi îi voi aduna din Asiria şi îi voi duce în ţara Galaadului şi în Liban şi loc nu va fi găsit pentru ei.
I will bring them home from the land of Egypt, and from Assyria will I gather them. Into the land of Gilead and Lebanon I will bring them, until the land overflows with them.
11 Şi el va trece prin mare cu necaz şi va lovi valurile în mare şi toate adâncurile râului se vor usca; şi mândria Asiriei va fi coborâtă şi sceptrul Egiptului se va îndepărta.
And when they pass through the sea of distress, I will strike down the waves of the sea, and all the deeps of the Nile will be dried up. The pride of Assyria will be brought low and the sceptre of Egypt turned aside.
12 Şi îi voi întări în DOMNUL; şi ei vor umbla în sus şi în jos în numele său, spune DOMNUL.
I will make them strong in the Lord, they will walk in his name, says the Lord.
