Titus 3
1 Adu-le aminte să fie supuși principatelor și autorităților, să asculte de magistrați, să fie gata pentru fiecare lucrare bună,
Remind them to submit to the governments, authorities, to obey the rule over them, to be ready unto every good work,
2 Să nu vorbească de rău pe nimeni, să nu fie arțăgoși, ci blânzi, arătând toată blândețea tuturor oamenilor.
to speak evil of no one, that they should be peaceable, gentle, showing all meekness to all men.
3 Fiindcă și noi am fost odinioară neînțelepți, neascultători, înșelați, servind diverselor pofte și plăceri, trăind în răutate și invidie, plini de ură și urându-ne unii pe alții.
For when we also were without understanding, being disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in sin and envy, hateful, hating one another;
4 Dar după ce s-a arătat bunătatea și dragostea pentru oameni a lui Dumnezeu, Salvatorul nostru,
but when the goodness and philanthropy of God our Saviour appeared,
5 Nu prin faptele dreptății pe care noi le-am făcut, ci conform milei sale el ne-a salvat, prin spălarea regenerării și înnoirea Duhului Sfânt,
not from works which are in righteousness, which we did, but according to his own mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and the renewal of the Holy Ghost,
6 Pe care l-a turnat abundent peste noi prin Isus Cristos, Salvatorul nostru,
whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 Pentru ca, fiind declarați drepți prin harul său, să fim făcuți moștenitori conform cu speranța vieții eterne. (aiōnios g166)
in order that, being justified by his faith, we may be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
8 Acesta este un cuvânt de încredere, și aceste lucruri voiesc să le susții cu tărie, pentru ca toți cei care au crezut în Dumnezeu să aibă grijă să practice fapte bune. Acestea sunt bune și de folos oamenilor.
The word is faithful, and I wish you to be established concerning these things, in order that those having believed in God may think to excel in good works. These things are beautiful and useful to the people:
9 Dar evită întrebări nebunești și genealogii și certuri și lupte despre lege, fiindcă sunt nefolositoare și deșarte.
but reject foolish questions, and genealogies, and strife, and controversies about law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 Pe omul eretic, după prima și a doua avertizare, respinge-l,
Reject a heretical man after the first and second admonition;
11 Știind că cel ce este astfel, este pervertit și păcătuiește, condamnându-se pe el însuși.
knowing that such an one is turned away, and is sinning, being self-condemned.
12 Când voi trimite pe Artema la tine, sau pe Tihic, străduiește-te să vii la mine la Nicopole, fiindcă am hotărât să iernez acolo.
When I shall send Artemas or Tychicus to you, hasten to come to me at Nicopolis: for I have determined to spend the winter there.
13 Adu-l pe Zena, avocatul, și pe Apolo, îngrijindu-te ca în călătoria lor să nu le lipsească nimic.
Send on Zenas the lawyer and Apollos speedily, in order that nothing may be lacking to them.
14 Și să învețe și ai noștri să practice fapte bune pentru folosințele necesare, pentru a nu fi fără rod.
And let our people indeed learn to excel in good works for necessary uses, in order that they may not be unfruitful.
15 Toți cei ce sunt cu mine te salută. Salută pe cei ce ne iubesc în credință. Harul fie cu voi toți. Amin.
All who are with me salute you. Salute those who love us with the love of friendship in the faith. Grace be with you all.
