Titus 2
1 Dar tu vorbește cele ce se cuvin doctrinei sănătoase:
But do thou speak the things which become sound doctrine:
2 Ca bătrânii să fie cumpătați, onorabili, chibzuiți, sănătoși în credință, în dragoste creștină, în răbdare.
that aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in the faith, in love, in patience:
3 În același fel, femeile bătrâne să fie în comportare cum se cuvine sfințeniei, nu acuzatoare false, nu dedate la mult vin, învățătoare ale lucrurilor bune,
the aged women likewise in behaviour as becometh saints, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
4 Pentru ca să învețe pe tinerele femei să fie sobre, să își iubească soții, să își iubească [și] copiii,
that they may instruct the young women to be temperate, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be prudent,
5 Să fie discrete, caste, gospodine acasă, bune, ascultătoare de proprii lor soți, pentru ca astfel cuvântul lui Dumnezeu să nu fie blasfemiat.
chaste, keepers at home, good, submissive to their husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.
6 Pe cei tineri, în același fel, îndeamnă-i să aibă o minte cumpătată.
Exhort the young men in like manner to be temperate:
7 În toate arătându-te un model pentru fapte bune; în doctrină, arătând incoruptibilitate, seriozitate, sinceritate,
in all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works, with uncorruptness in teaching, gravity, sound doctrine that cannot be condemned;
8 Vorbire sănătoasă ce nu poate fi condamnată, pentru ca cel dintre împotrivitori să fie rușinat, neavând nimic rău de spus despre voi.
that he who opposeth it may be ashamed, having no evil to say of you.
9 Îndeamnă robii să fie ascultători propriilor stăpâni și să le placă în toate, nicidecum contrazicând;
Exhort servants to submit to their masters, to be obsequious in all things,
10 Nu furând, ci arătând toată buna credincioșie, pentru ca să înfrumusețeze doctrina lui Dumnezeu Salvatorul nostru în toate.
not answering frowardly, not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Fiindcă harul lui Dumnezeu care aduce salvarea s-a arătat tuturor oamenilor,
For the grace of God, that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men;
12 Învățându-ne ca, negând neevlavia și poftele lumești, să trăim în cumpătare, în dreptate și în evlavie în această lume de acum. (aiōn g165)
teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world; (aiōn g165)
13 Așteptând acea binecuvântată speranță și glorioasa arătare a marelui Dumnezeu și a Salvatorului nostru Isus Cristos.
looking for the blessed hope, and glorious appearance of the great God, and our Saviour, Jesus Christ:
14 Care s-a dat pe sine însuși pentru noi, ca să ne răscumpere din toată nelegiuirea și să purifice pentru sine însuși un popor deosebit, zelos pentru fapte bune.
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 Acestea vorbește și îndeamnă și mustră cu toată autoritatea. Nu lăsa pe nimeni să te disprețuiască.
These things speak, and exhort; and reprove offenders with all authority: that none may despise thee.
