Ruth 2
1 Şi Naomi avea o rudă a soţului ei, un bărbat puternic în bogăţie din familia lui Elimelec, şi numele lui era Boaz.
Now Naomi was related through her husband to a very wealthy man of the family of Elimelech named Boaz.
2 Şi Rut moabita i-a spus lui Naomi: Lasă-mă acum să merg la câmp şi să culeg spice de grâne în urma aceluia în ochii căruia voi găsi har. Iar ea i-a spus: Du-te, fiica mea.
Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me now go into the fields and gather leftover grain behind anyone who will allow me.” “Go, my daughter,” she replied.
3 Şi a mers şi a ajuns şi a cules în câmp după secerători; şi soarta ei a fost să ajungă la o parte a câmpului aparţinând lui Boaz, care era dintre rudele lui Elimelec.
So she went to glean in the field after the reapers. As it happened, she was in that part of the field which belonged to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.
4 Şi, iată, Boaz a venit de la Betleem şi a spus secerătorilor: DOMNUL fie cu voi. Iar ei i-au răspuns: DOMNUL să te binecuvânteze.
When Boaz came from Bethlehem and said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you,” they answered him, “May the Lord bless you.”
5 Atunci Boaz a spus servitorului său, care a fost pus peste secerători: A cui este tânăra aceasta?
“Whose girl is this?” Boaz asked his servant who had charge of the reapers.
6 Şi servitorul care a fost pus peste secerători a răspuns şi a zis: Aceasta este tânăra moabită care s-a întors cu Naomi din ţara Moabului.
The servant who had charge of the reapers replied, “It is the Moabite girl who came back with Naomi from the territory of Moab.
7 Şi ea a spus: Te rog, lasă-mă să culeg şi să adun printre snopi în urma secerătorilor; astfel a venit şi continuă de dimineaţă până acum şi a stat numai puţin în casă.
She asked to be allowed to glean and gather sheaves after the reapers. So she came and has continued to work until now and she has not rested a moment in the field.”
8 Atunci Boaz i-a spus lui Rut: Nu ai auzit fiica mea? Nu merge să culegi în alt câmp, nici nu pleca de aici, ci rămâi aici aproape de servitoarele mele.
Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field nor leave this place, but stay here with my girls.
9 Ochii tăi să fie peste câmpul pe care îl seceră, şi urmează-le; nu am poruncit eu tinerilor să nu se atingă de tine? Şi când eşti însetată du-te la vase şi bea din ceea ce au scos tinerii.
Watch where the men are reaping and follow the gleaners. I have told the young men not to trouble you. When you are thirsty, go to the jars and drink of that which the young men have drawn.”
10 Atunci ea a căzut cu faţa ei la pământ şi s-a prosternat şi i-a spus: De ce am găsit har în ochii tăi, încât să mă iei în considerare pe mine, o străină?
Then she bowed low and said to him, “Why are you so kind to me, to take interest in me when I am just a foreigner?”
11 Şi Boaz a răspuns şi i-a zis: Mi s-a arătat pe deplin, tot ce ai făcut pentru soacra ta de la moartea soţului tău; şi cum ai lăsat pe tatăl tău şi pe mama ta şi ţara naşterii tale şi ai venit la un popor pe care nu l-ai cunoscut până acum.
Boaz replied, “I have heard what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you left your father and mother and your native land to come to a people that you did not know before.
12 DOMNUL să răsplătească lucrul tău şi o răsplată deplină să îţi fie dată de DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel, sub ale cărui aripi ai venit să te încrezi.
May the Lord repay you for what you have done, and may you be fully rewarded by the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
13 Atunci ea a spus: Să capăt favoare în ochii tăi, domnul meu, pentru că m-ai mângâiat și pentru că ai vorbit prietenos roabei tale, cu toate că nu sunt ca una dintre roabele tale.
Then she said, “I trust I may please you, my lord, for you have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant, although I am not really equal to one of your own servants.”
14 Şi Boaz i-a spus: La timpul mesei să vii aici şi să mănânci din pâine şi să înmoi bucăţica ta în oţet. Şi ea a şezut lângă secerători; şi el i-a întins grâne prăjite şi ea a mâncat şi s-a săturat şi a plecat.
At mealtime Boaz said to Ruth, “Come here and eat some of the food and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed her some roasted grain. She ate until she was satisfied and had some left.
15 Şi când s-a ridicat să culeagă, Boaz a poruncit tinerilor săi, spunând: Lăsaţi-o să culeagă chiar printre snopi şi nu o ocărâţi!
When she rose to glean, Boaz gave this order to his young men: “Let her glean even among the sheaves and do not disturb her.
16 Şi de asemenea lăsaţi să cadă intenţionat câteva din mănunchiuri pentru ea şi lăsaţi-le ca ea să le culeagă şi nu o mustraţi!
Also pull out some for her from the bundles and leave for her to glean, and do not find fault with her.”
17 Astfel ea a cules în câmp până seara şi a bătut ce a cules; şi a fost cam o efă de orz.
So she gleaned in the field until evening, then beat out what she had gleaned. It was about a bushel of barley.
18 Şi l-a ridicat şi a mers în cetate şi soacra ei a văzut ce a cules; şi a adus şi i-a dat ce a pus deoparte după ce s-a săturat.
Then she took it up and went into the town and showed her mother-in-law what she had gleaned. She also brought out and gave her that which she had left from her meal after she had had enough.
19 Şi soacra ei i-a spus: Unde ai cules astăzi? Şi unde ai lucrat? Binecuvântat fie cel care te-a luat în considerare. Şi ea a arătat soacrei sale cu cine a lucrat şi a spus: Numele omului la care am lucrat astăzi este Boaz.
“Where did you glean today, and where did you work?” asked her mother-in-law. “A blessing on him who took notice of you!” So she told her mother-in-law where she had worked. “The name of the man with whom I worked today,” she said, “is Boaz.”
20 Şi Naomi a spus nurorii sale: Binecuvântat fie el de DOMNUL, care nu şi-a oprit bunătatea faţă de cei vii şi faţă de cei morţi. Şi Naomi i-a spus: Acest bărbat ne este rudă apropiată, unul dintre cei care au dreptul răscumpărării noastre.
Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May the blessing of the Lord rest on this man who has not ceased to show his loving-kindness to the living and to the dead. The man,” she added, “is a near relation of ours.”
21 Şi Rut moabita a spus: El de asemenea mi-a zis: Să te ţii aproape de tinerii mei, până vor fi terminat tot secerişul meu.
“He told me,” Ruth said, “that I must keep near his young men until they have completed all his harvest.”
22 Şi Naomi i-a spus lui Rut, nora sa: Este bine, fiica mea, că ieşi cu tinerele lui, ca alţii să nu te întâlnească într-un alt câmp.
Naomi said to Ruth, “It is best, my daughter, that you should go out with his girls because you might not be as safe in another field.”
23 Astfel ea a stat aproape de tinerele lui Boaz să culeagă până la sfârşitul secerişului orzului şi al secerişului grâului; şi a locuit cu soacra ei.
So she gleaned with the girls of Boaz until the end of the barley and wheat harvest; but she lived with her mother-in-law.
