Romani 12
1 De aceea vă implor, fraților, prin îndurările lui Dumnezeu, să prezentați trupurile voastre un sacrificiu viu, sfânt, plăcut lui Dumnezeu, aceasta este servirea voastră logică.
I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, your reasonable religious service.
2 Și nu vă conformați acestei lumi; ci fiți transformați prin înnoirea minții voastre, pentru a deosebi care este voia lui Dumnezeu, cea bună și plăcută și desăvârșită. (aiōn g165)
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may determine what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
3 Fiindcă prin harul care îmi este dat, spun fiecăruia care este printre voi, să nu gândească mai măreț decât ar trebui să gândească; ci să gândească cumpătat, așa cum Dumnezeu a împărțit fiecăruia măsura credinței.
For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but to think sensibly, in accordance with the measure of faith that God has distributed to each one of you.
4 Fiindcă așa cum într-un [singur] trup avem [mai] multe membre, dar nu toate membrele au același serviciu,
For just as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,
5 Tot așa și noi, fiind mulți, suntem un trup în Cristos și fiecare suntem membre unii altora.
so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 Având așadar daruri care diferă conform harului care ne este dat; fie profeție, să profețim conform cu măsura credinței;
We have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If someone's gift is prophecy, he should prophesy in proportion to his faith;
7 Sau serviciu, în servire; sau cel ce învață pe alții, în învățătură;
if it is service, he should serve; if it is teaching, he should teach;
8 Sau cel ce îndeamnă, în îndemnare; cel ce dă, în simplitate; cel ce conduce, cu sârguință; cel ce arată milă, cu bucurie;
if it is exhortation, he should exhort; if it is giving, he should do so generously; if it is leadership, he should do so diligently; if it is showing mercy, he should do so cheerfully.
9 Dragostea să fie neprefăcută. Detestați ceea ce este rău; lipiți-vă de bine.
Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
10 Iubiți-vă unii pe alții cu dragoste frățească, în onoare dând întâietate altuia.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Take the lead in honoring one another.
11 Nu leneși în muncă; fervenți în duh; servind Domnului;
Do not lack diligence in zeal, but be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
12 Bucurându-vă în speranță; răbdând în necaz; continuând stăruitor în rugăciune;
Rejoice in hope, persevere in tribulation, and persist in prayer.
13 Luând parte la nevoile sfinților; urmărind ospitalitatea.
Contribute to the needs of the saints, and pursue hospitality.
14 Binecuvântați pe cei ce vă persecută; binecuvântați și nu blestemați.
Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse.
15 Bucurați-vă cu cei ce se bucură și plângeți cu cei ce plâng.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
16 Fiți cu aceeași minte unii pentru alții. Nu gândiți lucruri înalte, ci coborâți la cei înjosiți. Nu fiți înțelepți în îngâmfările voastre.
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
17 Nu răsplătiți nimănui rău pentru rău. Îngrijiți-vă de lucruri oneste înaintea tuturor oamenilor.
Repay no one evil for evil, but have regard for what is right in the sight of all.
18 Dacă este posibil, cât ține de voi, trăiți în pace cu toți oamenii.
If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with everyone.
19 Preaiubiților, nu vă răzbunați, ci dați loc furiei, fiindcă este scris: Răzbunarea este a mea; eu voi răsplăti, spune Domnul.
Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”
20 De aceea dacă flămânzește dușmanul tău, dă-i să mănânce; dacă însetează, dă-i să bea; căci făcând astfel, vei îngrămădi cărbuni de foc pe capul lui.
Therefore, “if yoʋr enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing so, yoʋ will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Nu fi învins de rău, ci învinge răul prin bine.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
