Apocolipsa 13

1 Și am stat în picioare pe nisipul mării și am văzut o fiară ridicându-se din mare, având șapte capete și zece coarne, și pe coarnele ei zece coroane și pe capetele ei numele blasfemiei.

Now I was standing on the seashore, and I saw a Beast of prey coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten diadems and on his heads blasphemous names.

2 Și fiara pe care am văzut-o era asemănătoare unui leopard și picioarele sale erau ca ale unui urs și gura sa ca gura unui leu; și dragonul i-a dat puterea sa și tronul său și mare autoritate.

The beast that I saw was similar to a leopard, his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth was like a lion's mouth. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

3 Și am văzut unul dintre capetele ei, ca rănit de moarte; și rana sa mortală a fost vindecată; și tot pământul se minuna de fiară.

And one of his heads was as if it had been mortally wounded, but his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth marveled after the Beast.

4 Și s-au închinat dragonului care a dat putere fiarei; și s-au închinat fiarei, spunând: Cine este asemănător fiarei? Cine este în stare să facă război cu ea?

And they did obeisance to the dragon who had given the authority to the Beast, and they did obeisance to the Beast saying, “Who is like the Beast, and who is able to make war with him?”

5 Și i-a fost dată o gură care vorbea lucruri mari și blasfemii; și i-a fost dată putere să continue patruzeci și două de luni.

And he was given a mouth speaking great things, that is, blasphemy; and he was given authority to make war forty-two months.

6 Și și-a deschis gura în blasfemie împotriva lui Dumnezeu, pentru a blasfemia numele lui și tabernacolul lui și pe cei ce locuiesc în cer.

So he opened that mouth of his in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, those who dwell in Heaven.

7 Și i-a fost dat să facă război cu sfinții și să îi învingă; și i-a fost dată putere peste toate rasele și limbile și națiunile.

And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given him over every tribe and language and ethnic nation.

8 Și i se vor închina toți cei ce locuiesc pe pământ, cei ale căror nume nu sunt scrise în cartea vieții Mielului înjunghiat de la întemeierea lumii.

All who dwell on the earth will do obeisance to him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slaughtered from the foundation of the world.

9 Dacă vreun om are ureche, să audă.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

10 Cel ce duce în captivitate va merge în captivitate; cel ce cu sabia va ucide, trebuie să fie ucis cu sabia. Aici este răbdarea și credința sfinților.

If anyone has captivity, he goes away. If anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

11 Și am văzut o altă fiară ridicându-se din pământ; și avea două coarne asemănătoare unui miel și vorbea ca un dragon.

Now I saw another beast of prey coming up out of the land, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

12 Și exercită toată puterea primei fiare de dinaintea ei și face ca pământul și cei ce locuiesc pe el să se închine primei fiare, a cărei rană mortală fusese vindecată.

And he exercises all the authority of the first Beast in his presence; and he started to cause the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first Beast, whose mortal wound was healed.

13 Și face minuni mari, așa încât coboară foc din cer pe pământ, înaintea oamenilor.

And he performs great signs, including that fire should come down from heaven upon the earth before the people.

14 Și înșală pe cei ce locuiesc pe pământ prin mijlocirea acelor miracole pe care ea avea putere să le facă înaintea fiarei, spunând celor ce locuiesc pe pământ să facă o icoană fiarei care a avut rana de sabie și trăia.

And he deceives my own people, those dwelling on the earth, by the signs that it was given to him to perform before the Beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the Beast who had the sword wound and lived.

15 Și ea avea putere să dea viață icoanei fiarei, pentru ca icoana fiarei deopotrivă să vorbească și să facă să fie uciși atâția câți nu se închină icoanei fiarei.

And it was granted to him to give breath to the image of the Beast, so that the image of the Beast should actually speak, and should cause as many as would not worship the image of the Beast to be killed.

16 Și face pe toți, deopotrivă mici și mari și bogați și săraci și liberi și sclavi, să primească un semn pe mâna lor dreaptă, sau pe frunțile lor;

And he causes everyone—both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave—to receive marks on their right hand or on their foreheads,

17 Ca nimeni să nu poată cumpăra sau vinde, decât cel ce avea semnul, sau numele fiarei, sau numărul numelui său.

so that no one would be able to buy or sell who does not have the mark, the name of the Beast or the number of his name.

18 Aici este înțelepciunea. Cel ce are înțelegere să numere numărul fiarei; fiindcă este numărul unui om; și numărul lui este: Șase sute șaizeci și șase.

Here is wisdom: let the one who has understanding evaluate the number of the Beast, for it is the number of man—his number is 666.
