Psalmii 97
1 DOMNUL domnește; să se bucure pământul; să se veselească mulțimea insulelor.
The Lord reigneth: let the earth reioyce: let the multitude of the yles be glad.
2 Nori și întuneric sunt de jur împrejurul lui, dreptate și judecată sunt locuința tronului său.
Cloudes and darkenes are round about him: righteousnesse and iudgement are the foundation of his throne.
3 Un foc merge înaintea lui și arde pe dușmanii lui de jur împrejur.
There shall goe a fire before him, and burne vp his enemies round about.
4 Fulgerele lui au luminat lumea, pământul a văzut și a tremurat.
His lightnings gaue light vnto the worlde: the earth sawe it and was afraide.
5 Dealurile s-au topit ca ceara în prezența DOMNULUI, în prezența Domnului întregului pământ.
The mountaines melted like waxe at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 Cerurile vestesc dreptatea lui și toate popoarele văd gloria sa.
The heauens declare his righteousnes, and all the people see his glory.
7 Încurcați fie toți cei ce servesc chipurilor cioplite, cei ce se fălesc cu idoli, închinați-vă lui, voi, toți dumnezeii.
Confounded be all they that serue grauen images, and that glory in idoles: worship him all ye gods.
8 Sionul a auzit și s-a veselit; și fiicele lui Iuda s-au bucurat pentru judecățile tale, DOAMNE.
Zion heard of it, and was glad: and the daughters of Iudah reioyced, because of thy iudgements, O Lord.
9 Pentru că tu, DOAMNE, ești înalt deasupra întregului pământ, tu ești înălțat mult deasupra tuturor dumnezeilor.
For thou, Lord, art most High aboue all the earth: thou art much exalted aboue all gods.
10 Voi, care iubiți pe DOMNUL, urâți răul; el păstrează sufletele sfinților săi; îi eliberează din mâna celor stricați.
Ye that loue the Lord, hate euill: he preserueth the soules of his Saints: hee will deliuer them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Lumină este semănată pentru cel drept și veselie pentru cel integru în inimă.
Light is sowen for the righteous, and ioy for the vpright in heart.
12 Bucurați-vă în DOMNUL, voi cei drepți, și aduceți mulțumire la amintirea sfințeniei sale.
Reioyce ye righteous in the Lord, and giue thankes for his holy remembrance.
