Psalmii 94
1 DOAMNE Dumnezeu, căruia răzbunarea îi aparține; Dumnezeule, căruia răzbunarea îi aparține, arată-te.
O LORD! thou God of vengeance! O thou God of vengeance! shine forth!
2 Înalță-te, tu judecător al pământului, întoarce o răsplată celui mândru.
Rouse thyself, thou judge of the earth! Render a recompense to the proud!
3 DOAMNE, până când cei răi, până când cei stricați vor triumfa?
How long, O LORD! shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?
4 Până când vor rosti și vor vorbi lucruri grele? Și toți lucrătorii nelegiuirii se vor făli?
How long shall their lips pour forth insolence? How long shall all the evil-doers boast?
5 Ei rup în bucăți poporul tău, DOAMNE, și nenorocesc moștenirea ta.
O LORD! they trample upon thy people, And oppress thine inheritance!
6 Ei ucid văduva și străinul și ucid pe cei fără tată.
They slay the widow, and the stranger, And murder the fatherless;
7 Totuși ei spun: DOMNUL nu va vedea, nici Dumnezeul lui Iacob nu va lua aminte.
And they say, “The LORD doth not see, The God of Jacob doth not regard!”
8 Înțelegeți, voi neghiobilor printre oameni și proștilor, când veți fi înțelepți?
Be instructed, ye most stupid of mankind! O when, ye fools, will ye be wise?
9 Cel ce a sădit urechea, nu va auzi? Cel ce a format ochiul, nu va vedea?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Cel ce pedepsește păgânii, nu va corecta? Cel ce învață pe om cunoaștere, nu va cunoaște?
He that chastiseth nations, shall not he punish? He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11 DOMNUL cunoaște gândurile omului, că ele sunt deșertăciune.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of men, That they are vanity.
12 Binecuvântat este omul pe care tu îl disciplinezi, DOAMNE, și îl înveți din legea ta;
Happy the man, O LORD! whom thou correctest, Whom by thy teaching thou makest wise;
13 Ca să îi dai odihnă de la zilele de restriște, până ce groapa va fi săpată pentru cel stricat.
To give him peace in the days of adversity, Until a pit be digged for the wicked!
14 Căci DOMNUL nu va lepăda pe poporul său, nici nu va părăsi moștenirea sa.
For the LORD will not forsake his people, Nor abandon his own inheritance.
15 Ci judecată se va întoarce la dreptate și toți cei integri în inimă o vor urma.
For judgment shall return to justice, And all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Cine se va ridica pentru mine împotriva făcătorilor de rău? Sau cine va sta în picioare pentru mine împotriva lucrătorilor nelegiuirii?
Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evil-doers?
17 De nu ar fi fost DOMNUL ajutorul meu, sufletul meu aproape că ar fi locuit în tăcere.
If the LORD had not been my help, I had well nigh dwelt in the land of silence.
18 Când am spus: Piciorul meu alunecă; mila ta, DOAMNE, m-a susținut.
When I think that my foot is slipping, Thy goodness, O LORD! holdeth me up.
19 În mulțimea gândurilor mele dinăuntrul meu, mângâierile tale îmi desfată sufletul.
In the multitude of anxieties within me, Thy consolations revive my soul.
20 Va avea tronul nelegiuirii părtășie cu tine, care urzește ticăloșie printr-o lege?
Shall with thee be allied the throne of iniquity, Which deviseth mischief against law?
21 Ei se adună împreună împotriva sufletului celui drept și condamnă sângele nevinovat.
They band together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood.
22 Dar DOMNUL este apărarea mea; și Dumnezeul meu este stânca locului meu de scăpare.
But the LORD is my fortress, And my God the rock of my refuge.
23 Și el va aduce peste ei propria lor nelegiuire și îi va stârpi în propria lor stricăciune; da, DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru îi va stârpi.
He will bring upon them their own iniquity; Yea, through their own wickedness he will cut them off; Yea, the LORD, our God, will cut them off.
