Psalmii 89
1 Maschil al lui Etan ezrahitul. Voi cânta îndurările DOMNULUI pentru totdeauna, din generație în generație voi face cunoscută credincioșia ta cu gura mea.
An Instructive Psalm, by Ethan the Ezrahite. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, age-abidingly will I sing, To generation after generation, will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.
2 Căci am spus: Mila va fi zidită pentru totdeauna, credincioșia ta o vei întemeia chiar în ceruri.
For I said, To times age-abiding, shall lovingkindness be built up, As for the heavens, thou wilt establish thy faithfulness therein.
3 Am făcut legământ cu alesul meu, i-am jurat lui David, servitorul meu,
I have solemnised a covenant, for my chosen one, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 Sămânța ta o voi întemeia pentru totdeauna și îți voi zidi tronul din generație în generație. (Selah)
Unto times age-abiding, will I establish thy seed, And will build up, unto generation after generation, thy throne. (Selah)
5 Și cerurile vor lăuda minunile tale, DOAMNE, credincioșia ta de asemenea în adunarea sfinților.
So shall the heavens praise thy wondrousness, O Yahweh, —Yea, thy faithfulness, in the convocation of holy ones.
6 Pentru că cine din cer poate fi comparat cu DOMNUL? Cine dintre fiii celor tari poate fi asemănat cu DOMNUL?
For whom, in the skies, can one compare unto Yahweh? [Or] can one liken unto Yahweh, among the sons of the mighty?
7 Dumnezeu este foarte de temut în adunarea sfinților și respectat de toți cei din jurul lui.
A GOD inspiring awe in the circle of the holy ones, exceedingly, And to be reverenced above all who are round about him.
8 DOAMNE Dumnezeul oștirilor, cine este DOMN puternic asemenea ție? Sau cine este asemenea credincioșiei tale dimprejurul tău?
O Yahweh, God of hosts! Who, like thee, is mighty, O Yah! With thy faithfulness round about thee:
9 Tu stăpânești furia mării, când valurile ei se ridică, tu le liniștești.
Thou, rulest over the swelling of the sea, When the rolling waves thereof lift themselves, Thou, dost bid them be still:
10 Ai rupt Rahabul în bucăți, ca pe unul care este ucis; ai împrăștiat pe dușmanii tăi cu brațul tău puternic.
Thou, hast crushed—as one slain—Rahab, With thy strong arm, hast thou scattered thy foes.
11 Cerurile sunt ale tale, pământul de asemenea este al tău, cât despre lume și plinătatea ei, tu le-ai fondat.
Thine, are the heavens, Yea, thine, the earth, The world and the fulness thereof, Thou, didst found them;
12 Nordul și sudul, tu le-ai creat, Taborul și Hermonul se vor bucura în numele tău.
The north and the south, Thou, didst create them, —Tabor and Hermon, with thy Name, shall shout for joy:
13 Tu ai un braț tare, puternică este mâna ta și înaltă este dreapta ta.
Thine is an arm with might, Strong is thy hand, High is thy right hand;
14 Dreptatea și judecata sunt locuința tronului tău, mila și adevărul vor merge înaintea feței tale.
Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of thy throne, Lovingkindness and faithfulness, go before thy face.
15 Binecuvântat este poporul care cunoaște sunetul bucuriei, ei vor umbla, DOAMNE, în lumina înfățișării tale.
How happy are the people who know the joyful sound! O Yahweh! in the light of thy countenance, shall they firmly march along;
16 În numele tău se vor bucura toată ziua și în dreptatea ta vor fi înălțați.
In thy Name, shall they exult all the day, And, in thy righteousness, shall they be exalted.
17 Căci tu ești gloria puterii lor și în favoarea ta cornul nostru va fi înălțat.
For, the beauty of their strength, thou art, And, in thine acceptance, shall our horns be exalted.
18 Pentru că DOMNUL este apărarea noastră; și Sfântul lui Israel este al nostru împărat.
For, to Yahweh, belongeth our Shield, And, to the Holy One of Israel, belongeth our King.
19 Atunci ai vorbit în viziune sfântului tău și ai spus: Am fost ajutor unuia tare; am înălțat pe unul ales din popor.
Then spakest thou in vision of thy men of lovingkindness, and saidst—I have laid help upon a mighty one, I have exalted one chosen from among the people;
20 Am găsit pe David, servitorul meu; cu untdelemnul meu sfânt l-am uns,
I have found David my servant, With mine own holy oil, have I anointed him;
21 El, cu care mâna mea va fi întemeiată, brațul meu de asemenea îl va întări.
With whom my hand shall be firm, Yea, mine arm, shall strengthen him;
22 Dușmanul nu va stoarce de la el, nici fiul stricăciunii nu îl va chinui.
No foe shall make exactions on him, Nor shall, a son of perversity, humiliate him;
23 Și voi înfrânge pe dușmanii lui înaintea feței sale și voi lovi cu plăgi pe cei ce îl urăsc.
And I will shatter, from before him, his adversaries, And, them who hate him, will I smite;
24 Dar credincioșia mea și mila mea vor fi cu el și în numele meu va fi cornul lui înălțat.
And, my faithfulness and my lovingkindness, shall be with him, And, in my Name, exalted shall be his horn;
25 Voi pune mâna lui de asemenea în mare și mâna lui dreaptă în râuri.
And I will set, in the sea, his hand, And, in the rivers, his right hand;
26 El va striga către mine: Tu ești tatăl meu, Dumnezeul meu și stânca salvării mele.
He, shall cry out unto me, My Father, thou art, My GOD, and my Rock of Salvation!
27 Eu, de asemenea, îl voi face întâiul meu născut și mai înalt decât împărații pământului.
Yea, I, will appoint him, firstborn, Most High to the kings of the earth!
28 Mila mea o voi păstra pentru el pentru totdeauna, și legământul meu va fi neclintit cu el.
Age-abidingly, will I keep for him my lovingkindness, And, my covenant, hath been made steadfast for him;
29 Sămânța lui de asemenea o voi face să continue întotdeauna și tronul lui precum zilele cerurilor.
Therefore will I appoint, to futurity, his seed, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 Dacă copiii lui părăsesc legea mea și nu umblă în judecățile mele,
If his sons forsake my law, And, in my regulations, do not walk;
31 Dacă strică statutele mele și nu țin poruncile mele,
If, my statutes, they profane, And, my commandments, do not keep:
32 Atunci voi pedepsi fărădelegea lor cu nuiaua și nelegiuirea lor cu lovituri.
Then will I punish, with a rod, their transgression; And, with stripes, their iniquity:
33 Cu toate acestea bunătatea mea iubitoare nu mi-o voi retrage cu totul de la el, nici nu voi permite să eșueze credincioșia mea.
But, my lovingkindness, will I not frustrate from them, Neither will I falsify my faithfulness;
34 Nu voi rupe legământul meu, nici nu voi schimba ce a ieșit de pe buzele mele.
I will not violate my covenant, And that which hath proceeded out of my lips, will I not alter:
35 O dată am jurat prin sfințenia mea că nu voi minți pe David.
One thing, have I sworn by my holiness, Verily, to David, will I not lie;
36 Sămânța lui va dăinui pentru totdeauna și tronul lui, ca soarele, înaintea mea.
His seed, age-abidingly, shall remain, And, his throne, be like the sun before me;
37 Ca luna va fi întemeiat pentru totdeauna și ca un martor credincios în ceruri. (Selah)
Like the moon, shall it be established unto times age-abiding, And, a witness, in the skies, hath been made sure. (Selah)
38 Dar tu ai lepădat și ai detestat, te-ai înfuriat pe unsul tău.
Yet, thou thyself, hast cast off, and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine Anointed One!
39 Ai anulat legământul servitorului tău, i-ai întinat coroana, aruncând-o la pământ.
Thou hast cast down the covenant of thy Servant, Thou hast profaned, to the earth, his crown;
40 Ai dărâmat toate gardurile lui; ai adus întăriturile lui la ruină.
Thou hast broken down all his defenses, Thou hast laid his fortresses in ruins;
41 Toți cei ce trec pe lângă cale îl pradă, el este o ocară pentru vecinii lui.
All the passers by the way, have plundered him, He hath become a reproach to his neighbours;
42 Ai înălțat dreapta potrivnicilor lui; ai făcut pe toți dușmanii lui să se bucure.
Thou hast raised the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast gladdened all his enemies;
43 Tu, de asemenea, ai întors tăișul sabiei lui și nu l-ai susținut în bătălie.
Yea thou hast turned the edge of his sword, Neither hast thou caused him to stand in the battle;
44 Ai făcut să înceteze gloria lui și ai aruncat tronul lui la pământ.
Thou hast brought to an end his splendour, And, his throne—to the ground, hast thou hurled;
45 Ai scurtat zilele tinereții sale, l-ai acoperit cu rușine. (Selah)
Thou hast shortened the days of his youths, —Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 Până când, DOAMNE? Te vei ascunde pentru totdeauna? Va arde furia ta ca un foc?
How long, O Yahweh, Wilt thou hide thyself utterly? Shall thine indignation, burn like fire?
47 Amintește-ți ce scurt este timpul meu. Oare în zadar ai făcut pe toți fiii oamenilor?
Remember how short-lived, I, am, Wherefore, in vain, hast thou created all the sons of Adam?
48 Ce om trăiește și nu va vedea moartea? Își va elibera el sufletul din mâna mormântului? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Who is the man that shall live, and not see death? That can deliver his soul from the hand of hades. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Doamne, unde sunt bunătățile tale iubitoare de mai înainte, pe care le-ai jurat lui David în adevărul tău?
Where are thy former lovingkindnesses, O My Lord? Thou didst swear unto David, in thy faithfulness!
50 Amintește-ți, Doamne, ocara servitorilor tăi; că port în sânul meu ocara tuturor oamenilor tari;
Remember, O My Lord, the reproach of thy servants, I have carried in my bosom the insult of the peoples:
51 Ocara cu care dușmanii tăi au ocărât, DOAMNE; cu care au ocărât pașii unsului tău.
In that thy foes have reproached, O Yahweh, In that they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed One!
52 Binecuvântat fie DOMNUL pentru totdeauna. Amin și Amin.
Blessed be Yahweh to times age-abiding, Amen, and Amen!
