Psalmii 85
1 Mai marelui muzician, un psalm pentru fiii lui Core. DOAMNE, tu ai fost binevoitor cu țara ta, ai adus înapoi pe captivii lui Iacob.
To the Chief Musician. For the Sons of Korah. A Melody. Thou hast accepted, O Yahweh, thy land, Thou hast brought back the captives of Jacob;
2 Ai iertat nelegiuirea poporului tău, ai acoperit tot păcatul lor. (Selah)
Thou hast taken away, the iniquity of thy people, Thou hast covered, all their sin. (Selah)
3 Ți-ai abătut toată furia, te-ai întors de la înverșunarea mâniei tale.
Thou hast withdrawn all thine indignation, Thou hast ceased from the glow of thine anger.
4 Întoarce-ne, Dumnezeul salvării noastre, și fă să înceteze mânia ta față de noi.
Restore us, O God of our salvation, And take away thy vexation towards us.
5 Te vei mânia pe noi pentru totdeauna? Îți vei prelungi mânia din generație în generație?
To times age-abiding, wilt thou be angry with us? Wilt thou prolong thine anger, from generation to generation?
6 Nu ne vei înviora din nou, ca poporul tău să se bucure în tine?
Wilt not, thou thyself, again give us life, That, thy people, may rejoice in thee.
7 Arată-ne mila ta, DOAMNE, și dă-ne salvarea ta.
Show us, O Yahweh, thy lovingkindness, And, thy salvation, wilt thou grant us.
8 Voi asculta ce va vorbi Dumnezeu DOMNUL, căci va vorbi pace poporului său și sfinților săi, dar nu îi lăsa să se întoarcă din nou la nebunie.
I will hear, what GOD—Yahweh—will speak, —For he will bespeak prosperity to his people, And to his men of lovingkindness, And to them who return with their heart unto him.
9 Cu siguranță salvarea lui este aproape de cei ce se tem de el, ca gloria să locuiască în țara noastră.
Surely, near unto them who revere him, is his salvation, That the Glory, may settle down, in our land.
10 Mila și adevărul s-au întâlnit; dreptatea și pacea s-au sărutat.
Lovingkindness and faithfulness, have met together, Righteousness and prosperity, have kissed each other;
11 Adevărul va țâșni din pământ și dreptatea va privi din cer.
Faithfulness, out of the earth, doth spring forth, And, righteousness, out of the heavens, hath looked down.
12 Da, DOMNUL va da ce este bun; și țara noastră își va da venitul.
Yahweh himself too, will give us the blessing, And, our land, shall yield her increase.
13 Dreptatea va merge înaintea lui; și ne va așeza pe calea pașilor săi.
Righteousness, before him, shall march long, —That he may make, into a way, the steps of its feet.
