Psalmii 76
1 Mai marelui muzician pe un instrument cu coarde, un psalm sau o cântare a lui Asaf. Dumnezeu este cunoscut în Iuda, numele lui este mare în Israel.
To the Chief Musician. With Stringed Instruments. A Melody of Asaph, a Song. God is, known in Judah, In Israel, great is his Name;
2 De asemenea în Salem este tabernacolul lui și locuința lui în Sion.
Now hath come into Salem, his pavilion, And his dwelling-place into Zion.
3 Acolo a rupt el săgețile arcului, scutul și sabia și bătălia. (Selah)
There, hath he broken in pieces the arrows of the bow, shield and sword, and battle. (Selah)
4 Tu ești mai glorios și mai măreț decât munții de pradă.
Enveloped in light, thou, art more majestic than the mountains of prey.
5 Cei cu inima tare sunt prădați, și-au dormit somnul și niciunul din bărbații viteji nu și-a găsit mâinile.
The valiant of heart have become a spoil, They have slumbered their sleep, And none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 La mustrarea ta, Dumnezeul lui Iacob, deopotrivă carul și calul sunt aruncați într-un somn de moarte.
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Stunned are the horsemen.
7 Tu, chiar tu ești de temut și cine poate sta înaintea feței tale când ești mânios?
As for thee, to be feared thou art! Who then shall stand before thee, because of the power of thine anger?
8 Ai făcut să se audă judecata din cer; pământul s-a temut și s-a liniștit,
Out of the heavens, didst thou cause judgment to be heard, Earth, feared and was still:
9 Când Dumnezeu s-a ridicat la judecată ca să salveze pe toți cei blânzi ai pământului. (Selah)
When God rose up to judgment, To save all the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)
10 Cu siguranță furia omului te va lăuda; rămășița furiei o vei înfrâna.
For the multitude of mankind shall give thanks unto thee, The remainder of the multitude, shall keep holy festival unto thee.
11 Promite și împlinește DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău; toți cei din jurul lui să îi aducă daruri celui care ar trebui să fie temut.
Vow and pay, unto Yahweh your God, —Let, all who are round about him, bear along a gift unto him who is to be revered.
12 El va stârpi duhul prinților, el este înfricoșător pentru împărații pământului.
He cutteth off the spirit of nobles, he is of reverend majesty to the kings of the earth.
