Psalmii 70

1 Mai marelui muzician, un psalm al lui David, pentru a aduce în amintire. Grăbește-te, Dumnezeule, să mă eliberezi; grăbește-te să mă ajuți, DOAMNE.

To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David: to bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; Jehovah, [hasten] to my help.

2 Să fie rușinați și încurcați cei ce îmi caută sufletul, să fie întorși cu spatele și încurcați cei ce doresc vătămarea mea!

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned backward and confounded that take pleasure in mine adversity;

3 Să fie întorși înapoi ca o recompensă a rușinii lor cei ce spun: Aha, aha!

Let them turn back because of their shame that say, Aha! Aha!

4 Să se bucure toți cei ce te caută și să se veselească în tine și să spună continuu cei ce iubesc salvarea ta: Dumnezeu să fie preamărit.

Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee, and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified!

5 Dar eu sunt sărac și nevoiaș, grăbește-te la mine, Dumnezeule, tu ajutorul meu și scăparea mea; DOAMNE, nu întârzia.

But I am afflicted and needy: make haste unto me, O God. Thou art my help and my deliverer: O Jehovah, make no delay.
