Psalmii 68
1 Mai marelui muzician, un psalm sau o cântare a lui David. Să se ridice Dumnezeu, să fie împrăștiați dușmanii lui, de asemenea să fugă dinaintea lui cei ce îl urăsc.
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” Let God arise, and his enemies are scattered, And they who hate him flee before him!
2 Alungă-i, precum este alungat fumul; precum se topește ceara înaintea focului, așa să piară cei stricați în prezența lui Dumnezeu.
As smoke is dispersed, so thou dispersest them; As wax melteth before the fire, So perish the wicked before the face of God.
3 Dar cei drepți să se veselească; să se bucure înaintea lui Dumnezeu, da, să se bucure peste măsură.
But the righteous are glad and rejoice in his presence, Yea, they exult exceedingly.
4 Cântați lui Dumnezeu, cântați laude numelui său, preaînălțați pe cel ce călărește peste ceruri prin numele său IAH și bucurați-vă înaintea lui.
Sing unto God; sing praises to his name! Prepare a way for him who rideth through the desert! Jehovah is his name; be joyful in his presence!
5 Dumnezeu, în locuința lui sfântă, este tată celor fără tată și judecător al văduvelor.
The father of the fatherless, and the protector of the widow, Is God in his holy habitation.
6 Dumnezeu așază pe cei singuri în familii, el scoate afară pe cei legați cu lanțuri; dar cei răzvrătiți locuiesc într-un loc uscat.
God causeth the forsaken to dwell in houses; He leadeth forth to prosperity them that are bound; But the rebellious shall dwell in a barren land.
7 Dumnezeule, când ai mers înaintea poporului tău, când ai mărșăluit prin pustie, (Selah)
O God! when thou didst go before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness. (Pause)
8 Pământul s-a cutremurat și cerurile au picurat în prezența lui Dumnezeu, însuși Sinai s-a clătinat înaintea lui Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul lui Israel.
The earth quaked, and the heavens dropped at the presence of God; This Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Tu, Dumnezeule ai trimis o ploaie abundentă, prin care ți-ai întărit moștenirea, când a fost obosită.
Thou, O God! didst send a plentiful rain; Thou didst strengthen thy wearied inheritance.
10 Adunarea ta a locuit în ea; tu, Dumnezeule, ai pregătit din bunătatea ta pentru cei săraci.
Thy people established themselves in the land; Thou, O God! in thy goodness, didst prepare it for the needy!
11 Domnul a dat cuvântul, mare a fost oștirea celor ce l-au proclamat.
The Lord gave the song of victory Of the maidens publishing glad tidings to the mighty host.
12 Împărații armatelor au fugit iute și cea care a zăbovit acasă a împărțit prada.
“The kings with their armies have fled, —have fled! And the matron at home divideth the spoil.
13 Deși ați stat întinși printre oale, totuși veți fi ca aripile unui porumbel acoperite cu argint și penele lui cu aur galben.
Truly ye may repose yourselves in the stalls, Like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her feathers with shining gold.”
14 Când cel Atotputernic a împrăștiat împărați în ea, era alb ca zăpada în Țalmon.
When the Most High destroyed the kings in the land, It was white [[with their bones]] like Salmon.
15 Muntele lui Dumnezeu este ca muntele Basanului; un munte înalt ca muntele Basanului.
Ye lofty hills, ye hills of Bashan, Ye many-topped hills, ye hills of Bashan,
16 De ce săriți, voi munți înalți? Acesta este muntele în care Dumnezeu dorește să locuiască; da, DOMNUL va locui în el pentru totdeauna.
Why frown ye, ye many-topped hills, At the hill in which God is pleased to dwell, In which Jehovah will dwell for ever?
17 Carele lui Dumnezeu sunt douăzeci de mii, chiar mii de îngeri, Domnul este printre ele, ca în Sinai, în locul sfânt.
The chariots of God are myriads, yea, thousands of thousands; The Lord is in the midst of them, as upon Sinai, in the sanctuary.
18 Te-ai urcat în înălțime, ai dus în captivitate captivitatea, ai primit daruri pentru oameni; da, și pentru cei răzvrătiți, ca DOMNUL Dumnezeu să locuiască printre ei.
Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captive the vanquished, Thou hast received gifts among men, Even the rebellious, that here thou mightst dwell, O LORD God!
19 Binecuvântat fie Domnul, care zilnic ne încarcă cu binecuvântări, Dumnezeul salvării noastre. (Selah)
Praised be the Lord daily! When we are heavy-laden, the Mighty One is our help.
20 Dumnezeul nostru este Dumnezeul salvării; și lui DUMNEZEU Domnul îi aparțin ieșirile din moarte.
Our God is a God of salvation; From the Lord Jehovah cometh deliverance from death.
21 Dar Dumnezeu va răni capul dușmanilor săi și creștetul păros al unui astfel de om care merge continuu în fărădelegile lui.
But God smiteth the head of his enemies, Even the hairy crowns of those who go on in their iniquity.
22 Domnul a spus: Voi aduce din nou din Basan, voi aduce poporul meu din nou din adâncurile mării,
“I will bring them back,” saith the Lord, “from Bashan; I will bring them back from the deep sea;
23 Ca piciorul tău să fie înmuiat în sângele dușmanilor tăi și limba câinilor tăi în același sânge.
That thy foot may be dipped in their blood, That thy dogs may drink the blood of thine enemies.”
24 Ei au văzut umblările tale, Dumnezeule; umblările Dumnezeului meu, Împăratul meu, în sanctuar.
We have seen thy procession, O God! The procession of my God, my king, to his sanctuary!
25 Cântăreții au mers înainte, instrumentiștii după ei; printre ei, fecioarele cântând cu tamburine.
The singers go before, the minstrels follow, Amidst damsels playing on timbrels.
26 Binecuvântați pe Dumnezeu în adunări, pe Domnul, din fântâna lui Israel.
Praise ye God in your assemblies; Praise the Lord, all ye from the fountain of Israel!
27 Acolo este micul Beniamin cu conducătorul lor, prinții lui Iuda și consiliul lor, prinții lui Zabulon și prinții lui Naftali.
Here is Benjamin, the youngest, and his leaders; The chiefs of Judah, and their band; The chiefs of Zebulon, and the chiefs of Naphtali.
28 Dumnezeul tău a rânduit puterea ta; Întărește, Dumnezeule, ce ai făcut pentru noi.
Thy God has ordained thy strength, [[O Israel!]] Show forth thy might, O God! thou who hast wrought for us!
29 Datorită templului tău la Ierusalim, împărați îți vor aduce daruri.
Because of thy temple in Jerusalem Shall kings bring presents to thee.
30 Mustră ceata de lăncieri, mulțimea taurilor, cu vițeii poporului, până când fiecare se va supune cu bucăți de argint, împrăștie pe oamenii care își găsesc plăcerea în război.
Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of bulls with the calves of the nations, So that they shall cast themselves down with masses of silver; Scatter thou the nations that delight in war!
31 Prinți vor ieși din Egipt; în curând Etiopia își va întinde mâinile spre Dumnezeu.
Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste with outstretched hands to God.
32 Cântați lui Dumnezeu, voi împărății ale pământului; cântați laude Domnului, (Selah)
Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; Sing praises to Jehovah;
33 Celui ce călărește pe cerurile cerurilor, care au fost din vechime, iată, el își trimite vocea, o voce puternică.
To him who rideth upon the ancient heaven of heavens! Behold, he uttereth his voice, his mighty voice!
34 Atribuiți lui Dumnezeu tărie, măreția lui este peste Israel și tăria lui în nori.
Give glory to God, Whose majesty is in Israel, and whose might is in the clouds!
35 Dumnezeule, tu ești înfricoșător din locurile tale sfinte, Dumnezeul lui Israel este cel ce dă tărie și putere poporului său. Binecuvântat fie Dumnezeu.
Terrible art thou, O God! from thy sanctuary! The God of Israel giveth strength and power to his people. Praised be God!
