Psalmii 66
1 Mai marelui muzician, o cântare sau un psalm. Înălțați sunet de bucurie către Dumnezeu, tot pământul.
To him that excelleth. A song or Psalme. Rejoice in God, all ye inhabitants of the earth.
2 Cântați onoarea numelui său, faceți glorioasă lauda lui.
Sing forth the glory of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Spuneți lui Dumnezeu: Ce înfricoșător ești tu în lucrările tale! Prin măreția puterii tale dușmanii tăi ți se vor supune.
Say vnto God, Howe terrible art thou in thy workes! through the greatnesse of thy power shall thine enemies be in subiection vnto thee.
4 Tot pământul ți se va închina și îți va cânta; ei vor cânta numelui tău. (Selah)
All the worlde shall worship thee, and sing vnto thee, euen sing of thy Name. (Selah)
5 Veniți și vedeți lucrările lui Dumnezeu, el este înfricoșător în faptele lui față de fiii oamenilor.
Come and beholde the workes of God: he is terrible in his doing towarde the sonnes of men.
6 El a prefăcut marea în uscat, au trecut prin potop cu piciorul; acolo ne-am bucurat în el.
He hath turned the Sea into drie land: they passe through the riuer on foote: there did we reioyce in him.
7 El stăpânește prin puterea lui pentru totdeauna; ochii lui privesc națiunile, să nu se înalțe cei răzvrătiți. (Selah)
He ruleth the worlde with his power: his eyes beholde the nations: the rebellious shall not exalt them selues. (Selah)
8 Binecuvântați pe Dumnezeul nostru, oamenilor, și faceți să fie auzită vocea laudei lui,
Prayse our God, ye people, and make the voyce of his prayse to be heard.
9 El care ține sufletul nostru în viață și nu lasă să se clatine picioarele noastre.
Which holdeth our soules in life, and suffereth not our feete to slippe.
10 Căci tu, Dumnezeule, ne-ai încercat, ne-ai purificat, așa cum se purifică argintul.
For thou, O God, hast proued vs, thou hast tryed vs as siluer is tryed.
11 Ne-ai adus în plasă; ai pus necaz peste coapsele noastre.
Thou hast brought vs into the snare, and layed a strait chaine vpon our loynes.
12 Ai făcut ca oamenii să călărească peste capetele noastre; am mers prin foc și prin apă, dar tu ne-ai adus într-un loc bogat.
Thou hast caused men to ryde ouer our heads: we went into fire and into water, but thou broughtest vs out into a welthie place.
13 Voi intra în casa ta cu ofrande arse, îmi voi împlini promisiunile față de tine,
I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes,
14 Pe care buzele mele le-au rostit și gura mea le-a vorbit, când am fost în necaz.
Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.
15 Îți voi aduce sacrificii arse de vite îngrășate, cu tămâia berbecilor; voi aduce tauri împreună cu țapi. (Selah)
I will offer vnto thee the burnt offerings of fat rammes with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goates. (Selah)
16 Veniți și ascultați, voi toți care vă temeți de Dumnezeu și voi vesti ce a făcut el pentru sufletul meu.
Come and hearken, all ye that feare God, and I will tell you what he hath done to my soule.
17 Către el am strigat cu gura mea și el a fost preamărit cu limba mea.
I called vnto him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.
18 Dacă iau aminte la nelegiuire în inima mea, Domnul nu mă va asculta.
If I regard wickednesse in mine heart, the Lord will not heare me.
19 Dar, într-adevăr, Dumnezeu m-a auzit; a dat atenție la vocea rugăciunii mele.
But God hath heard me, and considered the voyce of my prayer.
20 Binecuvântat fie Dumnezeu, care nu a respins rugăciunea mea, nici mila lui de la mine.
Praysed be God, which hath not put backe my prayer, nor his mercie from me.
