Psalmii 64
1 Mai marelui muzician, un psalm al lui David. Ascultă vocea mea, Dumnezeule, în rugăciunea mea; păzește-mi viața de teama de dușman.
`In Ebrewe thus, To the victorie, the salm of Dauid. `In Jerom `thus, To the ouercomer, the song of Dauid. God, here thou my preier, whanne Y biseche; delyuere thou my soule fro the drede of the enemy.
2 Ascunde-mă de sfatul tainic al celor stricați, de răzvrătirea lucrătorilor nelegiuirii.
Thou hast defendid me fro the couent of yuele doers; fro the multitude of hem that worchen wickidnesse.
3 Care își ascut limba ca pe o sabie și își încordează arcurile să își tragă săgețile, cuvinte amare,
For thei scharpiden her tungis as a swerd, thei benten a bowe, a bittir thing;
4 Ca ei să tragă în taină spre cel desăvârșit, dintr-o dată trag spre el și nu se tem.

5 Se încurajează într-un lucru rău, se sfătuiesc să pună capcane în ascuns; ei spun: Cine le va vedea?

6 Ei cercetează nelegiuiri; fac o cercetare amănunțită, adânc este deopotrivă gândul lăuntric și inima fiecăruia.
Thei souyten wickidnessis; thei souyten, and failiden in sekinge. A man neiyhe to deep herte;
7 Dar Dumnezeu va trage spre ei cu o săgeată; dintr-o dată vor fi răniți.
and God schal be enhaunsid. The arowis of `litle men ben maad the woundis of hem;
8 Astfel vor face limba lor să cadă asupra lor, toți cei ce îi văd vor fugi.
and the tungis of hem ben maad sijk ayens hem. Alle men ben disturblid, that sien hem;
9 Și toți oamenii se vor teme și vor vesti lucrarea lui Dumnezeu, căci cu înțelepciune vor lua aminte la înfăptuirea lui.
and ech man dredde. And thei telden the werkis of God; and vndurstoden the dedis of God.
10 Cel drept se va veseli în DOMNUL și se va încrede în el; și toți cei integri în inimă se vor lăuda.
The iust man schal be glad in the Lord, and schal hope in hym; and alle men of riytful herte schulen be preisid.
