Psalmii 50
1 Un psalm al lui Asaf. Dumnezeul cel puternic, DOMNUL, a vorbit și a chemat pământul de la răsăritul soarelui până la apusul lui.
A Psalm. Of Asaph. God, Elohim-Jehovah, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2 Dumnezeu a strălucit din Sion, desăvârșirea frumuseții.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.
3 Dumnezeul nostru va veni și nu va tăcea, un foc va mistui înaintea lui și va fi o mare furtună împrejurul lui.
Our God will come, and will not keep silence: fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4 De sus va striga către ceruri și către pământ, ca să judece pe poporul său.
He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 Strângeți pe sfinții mei la mine; cei ce au făcut un legământ cu mine prin sacrificiu.
Gather unto me my godly ones, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!
6 Și cerurile vor vesti dreptatea lui, căci Dumnezeu însuși este judecător. (Selah)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God executeth judgment himself. (Selah)
7 Ascultă poporul meu și voi vorbi; ascultă Israel și voi aduce mărturie împotriva ta: Eu sunt Dumnezeu, chiar Dumnezeul tău.
Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, thy God.
8 Nu te voi mustra pentru sacrificiile tale, sau pentru ofrandele tale arse, ce au fost continuu înaintea mea.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt-offerings, continually before me;
9 Nu voi lua niciun taur din casa ta, nici țapi din staulele tale.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he-goats out of thy folds:
10 Căci fiecare animal al pădurii este al meu și vitele de pe o mie de dealuri.
For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle upon a thousand hills;
11 Cunosc toate păsările munților; și fiarele sălbatice ale câmpului sunt ale mele.
I know all the fowl of the mountains, and the roaming creatures of the field are mine:
12 Dacă aș fi flămând, nu ți-aș spune ție: fiindcă lumea și plinătatea ei este a mea.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13 Voi mânca eu carnea taurilor, sau voi bea sângele țapilor?
Should I eat the flesh of bulls, and drink the blood of goats?
14 Oferă mulțumiri lui Dumnezeu; și împlinește-ți promisiunile față de Cel Preaînalt,
Offer unto God thanksgiving, and perform thy vows unto the Most High;
15 Și cheamă-mă în ziua tulburării, eu te voi elibera și tu mă vei glorifica.
And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 Dar celui stricat, Dumnezeu îi spune: Ce ai tu ca să faci cunoscute statutele mele, sau să iei legământul meu în gura ta?
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant into thy mouth,
17 Văzând că urăști instruirea și arunci cuvintele mele înapoia ta.
Seeing thou hast hated correction and hast cast my words behind thee?
18 Când ai văzut un hoț, te-ai învoit cu el și ai fost părtaș cu adulterii.
When thou sawest a thief, thou didst take pleasure in him, and thy portion was with adulterers;
19 Îți dai gura la rău și limba ta urzește înșelătorie.
Thou lettest thy mouth loose to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit;
20 Șezi și vorbești împotriva fratelui tău; defăimezi pe fiul mamei tale.
Thou sittest [and] speakest against thy brother, thou revilest thine own mother's son:
21 Ai făcut acestea iar eu am tăcut; te-ai gândit că am fost întru totul ca tine, dar te voi mustra și voi pune lucrurile în ordine înaintea ochilor tăi.
These [things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether as thyself: [but] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.
22 Acum luați aminte la aceasta, voi, care uitați pe Dumnezeu, ca să nu vă sfâșii și să nu fie nimeni să vă elibereze.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear in pieces, and there be no deliverer.
23 Oricine oferă laudă mă glorifică; și celui ce își rânduiește purtarea îi voi arăta salvarea lui Dumnezeu.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me; and to him that ordereth [his] way will I shew the salvation of God.
