Psalmii 41

1 Mai marelui muzician, un psalm al lui David. Binecuvântat este cel ce ia aminte la sărac, DOMNUL îl va scăpa în timp de tulburare.

For victorie, the song of Dauid. Blessid is he that vndurstondith `on a nedi man and pore; the Lord schal delyuere hym in the yuel dai.

2 DOMNUL îl va păstra și îl va ține în viață; și el va fi binecuvântat pe pământ și nu îl vei da la voia dușmanilor lui.

The Lord kepe hym, and quykene hym, and make hym blesful in the lond; and bitake not hym in to the wille of his enemyes.

3 DOMNUL îl va întări pe patul de suferință, îi vei face tot patul în boala lui.

The Lord bere help to hym on the bed of his sorewe; thou hast ofte turned al his bed stre in his sijknesse.

4 Am spus: DOAMNE, fii milostiv cu mine, vindecă-mi sufletul, pentru că am păcătuit împotriva ta.

I seide, Lord, haue thou mercy on me; heele thou my soule, for Y synnede ayens thee.

5 Dușmanii mei vorbesc rău despre mine: Când va muri el și numele lui va pieri?

Myn enemyes seiden yuels to me; Whanne schal he die, and his name schal perische?

6 Și dacă vine să mă vadă, vorbește deșertăciune, inima lui își strânge nelegiuire; când iese afară, el spune aceasta.

And if he entride for to se, he spak veyn thingis; his herte gaderide wickidnesse to hym silf.

7 Toți cei ce mă urăsc șoptesc împreună împotriva mea, împotriva mea plănuiesc ei vătămarea mea.

He yede with out forth; and spak to the same thing. Alle myn enemyes bacbitiden pryuyli ayens me; ayens me thei thouyten yuels to me.

8 O boală rea, spun ei, se lipește tare de el, și acum că zace nu se va mai ridica.

Thei ordeineden an yuel word ayens me; Whether he that slepith, schal not leie to, that he rise ayen?

9 Da, chiar și prietenul meu apropiat, în care m-am încrezut, care a mâncat din pâinea mea și-a ridicat călcâiul împotriva mea.

For whi the man of my pees, in whom Y hopide, he that eet my looues; made greet disseit on me.

10 Dar tu, DOAMNE, fii milostiv cu mine și ridică-mă, ca să le răsplătesc.

But thou, Lord, haue merci on me, and reise me ayen; and Y schal yelde to hem.

11 Prin aceasta știu că îmi arăți favoare: pentru că dușmanul meu nu triumfă asupra mea.

In this thing Y knew, that thou woldist me; for myn enemye schal not haue ioye on me.

12 Și cât despre mine, tu mă susții în a mea integritate și mă așezi înaintea feței tale pentru totdeauna.

Forsothe thou hast take me vp for ynnocence; and hast confermed me in thi siyt with outen ende.

13 Binecuvântat fie DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel din veșnicie și pentru veșnicie. Amin și Amin.

Blessid be the Lord God of Israel, fro the world and in to the world; be it doon, be it doon.
