Psalmii 30

1 Un psalm și cântare la dedicarea casei lui David. Te voi preamări, DOAMNE, fiindcă m-ai înălțat și nu i-ai lăsat pe dușmanii mei să se bucure de mine.

A psalm of David. A psalm for the dedication of the Temple. I want to tell everyone how good you are, Lord, for you saved me, and you didn't let my enemies triumph over me.

2 DOAMNE Dumnezeul meu, am strigat către tine și m-ai vindecat.

Lord, my God, I called out to you for help, and you have healed me.

3 DOAMNE, ai ridicat sufletul meu din mormânt; m-ai ținut în viață, ca să nu cobor în groapă. (Sheol h7585)

Lord, you rescued me from the grave, you brought me back to life, saving me from going down into the pit of death. (Sheol h7585)

4 Cântați DOMNULUI, voi, sfinți ai lui, și aduceți mulțumiri la amintirea sfințeniei sale.

You who trust the Lord, sing praises to him, and be thankful for his holy character!

5 Fiindcă mânia lui durează doar o clipă; în favoarea lui este viață; poate plânsul durează o noapte, dar bucurie vine dimineața.

For his anger only lasts a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. You may spend the night in tears, but happiness comes with the morning.

6 Și în prosperitatea mea am spus: Niciodată nu mă voi clătina.

When things were going well, I said, “Nothing will ever shake me!”

7 DOAMNE, prin favoarea ta ai întărit muntele meu cu putere; ți-ai ascuns fața și am fost tulburat.

Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.

8 Am strigat către tine, DOAMNE; și către DOMNUL am făcut cerere.

I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,

9 Ce folos este în sângele meu, când cobor în groapă? Te va lăuda țărâna? Va vesti ea adevărul tău?

What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?

10 Ascultă, DOAMNE, și ai milă de mine; DOAMNE, fii ajutorul meu.

Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.

11 Mi-ai schimbat jalea în dans; mi-ai dezlegat pânza de sac și m-ai încins cu veselie.

You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,

12 Pentru ca gloria mea să îți cânte laudă și să nu tacă. DOAMNE Dumnezeul meu, îți voi aduce mulțumiri pentru totdeauna.

so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!
