Psalmii 29

1 Un psalm al lui David. Dați DOMNULUI, voi cei tari, dați DOMNULUI glorie și putere.

“A psalm of David.” Ascribe unto the Lord, O ye sons of the mighty, ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.

2 Dați DOMNULUI gloria datorată numelui său; închinați-vă DOMNULUI în frumusețea sfințeniei.

Ascribe unto the Lord the glory of his name; bow down to the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

3 Vocea DOMNULUI este peste ape; Dumnezeul gloriei tună; DOMNUL este peste multe ape.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thundereth, the Lord—upon mighty waters.

4 Vocea DOMNULUI este puternică; vocea DOMNULUI este plină de maiestate.

The voice of the Lord [resoundeth] with power; the voice of the Lord [resoundeth] with majesty.

5 Vocea DOMNULUI sfărâmă cedrii; da, DOMNUL sfărâmă cedrii Libanului.

The voice of the Lord breaketh in pieces the cedars; yea, the Lord shivereth the cedars of Lebanon;

6 El îi face de asemenea să salte ca un vițel; Libanul și Sirionul ca un tânăr unicorn.

And he maketh them skip like a calf; Lebanon and Siryon like young reems.

7 Vocea DOMNULUI despică flăcările focului.

The voice of the Lord heweth out flames of fire.

8 Vocea DOMNULUI cutremură pustia; DOMNUL cutremură pustia Cades.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Vocea DOMNULUI face cerboaicele să fete și dezgolește pădurile, și în templul lui fiecare vorbește despre gloria sa.

The voice of the Lord causeth the hinds to start, and maketh bare forests: and in his temple every thing speaketh [of his] glory.

10 DOMNUL șade peste potop; da, DOMNUL șade Împărat pentru totdeauna.

The Lord sat [enthroned] at the flood: and the Lord will sit as King for ever.

11 DOMNUL va da putere poporului său; DOMNUL va binecuvânta pe poporul său cu pace.

The Lord will give strength unto his people: the Lord will bless his people with peace.
