Psalmii 26

1 Un psalm al lui David. Judecă-mă, DOAMNE, pentru că am umblat în integritatea mea, m-am încrezut de asemenea în DOMNUL; de aceea nu voi aluneca.

Unto the end. A Psalm of David. Judge me, Lord, for I have been walking in my innocence, and by hoping in the Lord, I will not be weakened.

2 Examinează-mă, DOAMNE și încearcă-mă; cercetează rărunchii mei și inima mea.

Examine me, Lord, and test me: enkindle my temperament and my heart.

3 Pentru că bunătatea ta iubitoare este înaintea ochilor mei și am umblat în adevărul tău.

For your mercy is before my eyes, and I am serene in your truth.

4 Nu am șezut cu persoane deșarte, nici nu voi merge cu cei perfizi.

I have not sat with the council of emptiness, and I will not enter with those who carry out injustice.

5 Am urât adunarea făcătorilor de rău; și nu voi ședea cu cei stricați.

I have hated the assembly of the malicious; and I will not sit with the impious.

6 Îmi voi spăla mâinile în nevinovăție, astfel voi înconjura altarul tău, DOAMNE,

I will wash my hands among the innocent, and I will surround your altar, O Lord,

7 Ca să proclam cu vocea mulțumirii și să istorisesc despre toate lucrările tale minunate.

so that I may hear the voice of your praise and describe all your wonders.

8 DOAMNE, am iubit locuința casei tale și locul unde locuiește onoarea ta.

O Lord, I have loved the beauty of your house and the dwelling place of your glory.

9 Nu îmi pune sufletul împreună cu păcătoșii, nici viața mea cu oamenii sângeroși,

O God, do not let my soul perish with the impious, nor my life with the men of blood,

10 În mâinile cărora este ticăloșie și mâna lor dreaptă este plină de mite.

in whose hands are iniquities: their right hand has been filled by bribes.

11 Dar cât despre mine, voi umbla în integritatea mea; răscumpără-mă și fii milostiv cu mine.

But as for me, I have been walking in my innocence. Redeem me, and have mercy on me.

12 Piciorul meu stă pe un loc neted; în adunări voi binecuvânta pe DOMNUL.

My foot has stood firm in the straight path. In the churches, I will bless you, O Lord.
