Psalmii 24

1 Un psalm al lui David. AL DOMNULUI este pământul și plinătatea lui, lumea și cei ce locuiesc în ea.

“Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;

2 Fiindcă l-a fondat peste mări și l-a întemeiat peste potopuri.

For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.

3 Cine va urca la muntele DOMNULUI? Sau cine se va ridica la locul său sfânt?

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?

4 Cel ce are mâini nevinovate și o inimă pură; cel ce nu și-a înălțat sufletul spre deșertăciune, nici nu a jurat înșelător.

He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:

5 El va primi binecuvântare de la DOMNUL și dreptate de la Dumnezeul salvării sale.

He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Aceasta este generația celor care îl caută, care caută fața ta, Iacob. (Selah)

This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)

7 Înălțați-vă capetele voastre, porților; și fiți înălțate, voi uși veșnice; și Împăratul gloriei va intra.

Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

8 Cine este acest Împărat al gloriei? DOMNUL puternic și tare, DOMNUL tare în bătălie.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Înălțați-vă capetele voastre, porților; înălțați-le, voi uși veșnice; și Împăratul gloriei va intra.

Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

10 Cine este acest Împărat al gloriei? DOMNUL oștirilor, el este Împăratul gloriei. (Selah)

Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)
