Psalmii 22
1 Mai marelui muzician, „Căprioara Dimineții,” un psalm al lui David. Dumnezeul meu, Dumnezeul meu, de ce m-ai părăsit? De ce ești așa departe de a mă ajuta și de cuvintele răcnetului meu?
To the chief Musician. Upon Aijeleth-Shahar. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou] far from my salvation, from the words of my groaning?
2 Dumnezeul meu! Strig ziua, dar nu asculți; și noaptea, și nu tac.
My God, I cry by day, and thou answerest not; and by night, and there is no rest for me:
3 Dar tu ești sfânt, tu, care locuiești în laudele lui Israel.
And thou art holy, thou that dwellest amid the praises of Israel.
4 Părinții noștri s-au încrezut în tine; s-au încrezut și i-ai scăpat.
Our fathers confided in thee: they confided, and thou didst deliver them.
5 Au strigat către tine și au fost eliberați, s-au încrezut în tine și nu au fost făcuți de rușine.
They cried unto thee, and were delivered; they confided in thee, and were not confounded.
6 Dar eu sunt vierme și nu om; de ocara oamenilor și disprețuit de popor.
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and the despised of the people.
7 Toți cei ce mă văd râd de mine în batjocură, își țuguie buza, clatină din cap, spunând:
All they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying: ]
8 S-a încrezut în DOMNUL că îl va scăpa; să îl scape, văzând că a găsit plăcere în el.
Commit it to Jehovah — let him rescue him; let him deliver him, because he delighteth in him!
9 Dar tu ești cel ce m-ai scos din pântece, m-ai făcut să sper când eram pe sânii mamei mele.
But thou art he that took me out of the womb; thou didst make me trust, upon my mother's breasts.
10 Din pântece am fost aruncat asupra ta, tu ești Dumnezeul meu din pântecele mamei mele.
I was cast upon thee from the womb; thou art my God from my mother's belly.
11 Nu sta departe de mine, fiindcă tulburarea este aproape, pentru că nu este nimeni să ajute.
Be not far from me, for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
12 Mulți tauri m-au încercuit; tauri puternici din Basan m-au înconjurat.
Many bulls have encompassed me; Bashan's strong ones have beset me round.
13 Și-au deschis gura împotriva mea, ca un leu care sfâșie și răcnește.
They gape upon me with their mouth, [as] a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 Sunt turnat ca apa și toate oasele mele sunt scrântite, inima mea este ca ceara, este topită în mijlocul adâncurilor mele.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is become like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
15 Puterea mea este uscată ca un ciob și limba mi se lipește de fălcile mele și m-ai adus în țărâna morții.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and thou hast laid me in the dust of death.
16 Căci câini m-au încercuit; adunarea celor stricați m-a încercuit, mi-au străpuns mâinile și picioarele.
For dogs have encompassed me; an assembly of evil-doers have surrounded me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 Pot număra toate oasele mele, ei mă privesc și se holbează la mine.
I may count all my bones. They look, they stare upon me;
18 Își împart hainele mele între ei și aruncă sorți pe cămașa mea.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 Dar nu te depărta de mine DOAMNE, puterea mea, grăbește-te să mă ajuți.
But thou, Jehovah, be not far [from me]; O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Scapă-mi sufletul de sabie, pe preaiubitul meu din puterea câinelui.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my only one from the power of the dog;
21 Salvează-mă din gura leului, fiindcă m-ai auzit din coarnele unicornilor.
Save me from the lion's mouth. Yea, from the horns of the buffaloes hast thou answered me.
22 Voi vesti numele tău fraților mei, te voi lăuda în mijlocul adunării.
I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Lăudați-l, voi care vă temeți de DOMNUL; glorificați-l, voi toată sămânța lui Iacob și temeți-vă de el, voi toată sămânța lui Israel.
Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and revere him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 Fiindcă el nu a disprețuit, nici nu a detestat nenorocirea celui nenorocit, nici nu și-a ascuns fața de el, ci când a strigat către el, a ascultat.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him: but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 În marea adunare lauda mea va fi despre tine, voi împlini promisiunile mele în fața celor ce se tem de el.
My praise is from thee, in the great congregation; I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 Cei blânzi vor mânca și se vor sătura; vor lăuda pe DOMNUL cei ce îl caută; inima ta va trăi pentru totdeauna.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise Jehovah that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 Toate marginile lumii își vor aminti și se vor întoarce către DOMNUL și toate familiile națiunilor se vor închina înaintea ta.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah, and all the families of the nations shall worship before thee:
28 Pentru că împărăția este a DOMNULUI și el este guvernatorul peste națiuni.
For the kingdom is Jehovah's, and he ruleth among the nations.
29 Toți cei grași pe pământ vor mânca și se vor închina, toți cei ce coboară în țărână se vor pleca înaintea lui și nimeni nu își poate ține în viață sufletul.
All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship; all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, and he that cannot keep alive his own soul.
30 O sămânță îi va servi, îi va fi socotită Domnului ca generație.
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 Ei vor veni și vor vesti dreptatea lui unui popor ce se va naște, că el a făcut aceasta.
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done [it].
